Top Critic Review Of Movie Dehraadun Diary

Bollywood Movie Dehraadun Diary has so far not got any Top Critic Reviews, probably because of its low budget and stiff competition.  Top Critics like Taran Adarsh, Rajeev Masand, Komal Nahta have not published any review. We shall update once the movie Review gets available.

Plot

In the era of large scale corruption, where everyone seated on a chair that holds power is lying neck deep in corruption, exist unlikely heroes. Ordinary people who put up an extraordinary fight. People who become epitome of 'standing for your rights'.

Preeti, a free spirited daughter of Sadgun Thakur , is in love with Anshul, son of an IAS officer. Their match isn't acceptable to Preeti's family and in a fit of rage Preeti's brother kills Anshul for his family. And this is where the story begins.

Having lost their young son, the parents of Anshul, Mr and Mrs Sharma are there on confronted by the corrupt system. They can't match steps with Thakur's political powers and ways to shield his son. However, encouraged and supported by Anshul's younger brother Akash, the old couple makes a resolve- to fight, fight till they get justice.

The film is the journey of the mother who has lost the child she once held in her hands and dreamt of an old age holding his hands.

It's the journey of a brother who could have focused on his career, his future, yet decides to give it all up so that never again a brother loses his 'bhai' to an act of rage.

It's also the journey of a soulmate who loses herself after the loss so much so that she takes any path she is guided to. Even turns supportive of her own brother when faced with legality but at the end the unadulterated power of love brings her to the threshold and she stands for the right.

Dehraadun Diary is a much needed film about the strength in common man, the fury that loss lends you and fearlessness that come only with unconditional love.

'Dehraadun Diary' a protest film against corrupt system: Director

By: HP Wire

New Delhi: Director Milind Ukey says his new film "Dehraadun Diary" focusses on rising corruption in the political and judicial systems. Based on a real-life incident, it depicts the common man's fight against the flawed system.

"It is a hard-hitting subject about a real-life murder case. The whole story around this murder reflects strongly on our social realities. It is about corruption in politics, security and judiciary systems and how a common man is affected by it," Ukey said.

"'Dehraadun Diary' is a need of these times. It is a reaction to the horrible and inhuman incidents like what happened in Delhi rape case. 'Dehraadun Diary' depicts people's uprising against corruption at all levels," he added.

Produced by Anita Dhawan and Yatin, the film features Ragini Nandwani of "Mrs. Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein" fame, Adhyayan Suman and Rohit Bakshi. It has been mostly shot in Dehradun, capital of Uttarakand.

"The film is based on a real-life murder case, which happened few years back in Uttar Pradesh. Dehradun was part of Uttar Pradesh that time. Hence it is placed in Dehradun so that we can understand the kind complexities of northern India politics," he added.

In sync with the theme of the film, its poster also carries a tag line "Abb Toh System Ki Bhi Bajegi".

"Though, apparently, we are living in the biggest democracy of the world, we are suffering from old feudal, aristocratic and dictator system of power and politics. They use their power to manipulate every system to their advantage," he said.

"In 'Dehraadun Diary', I trace the journey of the murder victim's family to get justice. The film gives you a platform to share this urgent call on the crime, violence and political corruption related to such crimes," he added.

The director's next project "Rannveer, The Marshall", is a film based on martial arts. Another film focusses on India-Pakistan relationship.

"I am promoting the ground sports as against video games by making 'Rannveer, The Marshall', a film based on various kinds of martial arts. This will be a first Indian film which is completely based on martial arts," said Ukey, who made his Bollywood directorial debut with "Paathshaala".

"Another film I am planning is based on India-Pakistan relationship and the world peace and universal brotherhood. It is called 'Yeh Movie Pakistan Mein Bani Hai'," he added.

Rohit Bakshi denies break up with Aashka Goradia!
Rohit Bakshi denies break up with Aashka Goradia!

on Saturday at 11:04am
After a lot of speculations and rumors that hinted towards the alleged break up of TV actors Rohit Bakshi and Aashka Goradia, the former has come clear about it.

It is notable that Aashka, who was a part of Bigg Boss 6, was always open about her love affair with Rohit right from day one. However, grapevines started churning out news about the break up when Rohit was heard of avoiding the calls from Bigg Boss makers asking him to enter the house as a guest. His constant ignorance over the whole matter triggered the rumor more and everyone put a self-declarative end to their love story.

But only recently when Aashka was spotted at the premiere of Rohit's debut film Dehradun Diary things got a clear picture. Rohit Bakshi said that the couple is very much together. "There is no truth to the rumors of our break-up," he said. "I had even gone to pick her up when she was out of Bigg Boss. I could not go to meet her earlier as I was busy promoting my film and I was not in town," he added.

Apart from being in a relationship, they have also joined hands for a business venture. Rohit Bakshi said, "We met during a TV show Sindoor Tere Naam Ka and we started off as friends and gradually we started dating. We also started our business in Oshiwara and will expand very soon."

While admitting about the relation going strong, he even stated that marriage is not their prime concern as of now. He added, "We are both focusing on our careers right now and when the right time comes, we will (marry)."

Aashka Goradia said, "His film was way too important than making an appearance on Bigg Boss. My mother came and told me about it and I was more than happy."

We hope you to stay like this forever!
