Heres an article abt rohit-aashaka!!

Rohit Bakshi denies break up with Aashka Goradia!

on Saturday at 11:04am
After a lot of speculations and rumors that hinted towards the alleged break up of TV actors Rohit Bakshi and Aashka Goradia, the former has come clear about it.

It is notable that Aashka, who was a part of Bigg Boss 6, was always open about her love affair with Rohit right from day one. However, grapevines started churning out news about the break up when Rohit was heard of avoiding the calls from Bigg Boss makers asking him to enter the house as a guest. His constant ignorance over the whole matter triggered the rumor more and everyone put a self-declarative end to their love story.

But only recently when Aashka was spotted at the premiere of Rohit's debut film Dehradun Diary things got a clear picture. Rohit Bakshi said that the couple is very much together. "There is no truth to the rumors of our break-up," he said. "I had even gone to pick her up when she was out of Bigg Boss. I could not go to meet her earlier as I was busy promoting my film and I was not in town," he added.

Apart from being in a relationship, they have also joined hands for a business venture. Rohit Bakshi said, "We met during a TV show Sindoor Tere Naam Ka and we started off as friends and gradually we started dating. We also started our business in Oshiwara and will expand very soon."

While admitting about the relation going strong, he even stated that marriage is not their prime concern as of now. He added, "We are both focusing on our careers right now and when the right time comes, we will (marry)."

Aashka Goradia said, "His film was way too important than making an appearance on Bigg Boss. My mother came and told me about it and I was more than happy."

We hope you to stay like this forever!

Dehraadun Diary - Movie Review

Just Doesn't Make The Cut! - Shivom Oza

By: shivom_oza | Jan 05, 2013 11:00 AM

A young couple, madly in love, gets separated when the girl's elder brother, already accused in a murder case, kills the boy. The boy's family, notably his younger brother, takes the girl's family to court to fight for justice. It touches upon several issues such as politician-police nexus, honour killings and corruption. The intention to make this film was good; however, the execution fails on several counts. Actors such as Rohit Bakhshi and Ashwini Kalsekar have done a good job. Adhyayan Suman is a let-down despite having a powerful role. Rati Agnihotri's character is supposed to be disoriented, but she seems disinterested. There are a handful number of decent scenes in the film, in particular, the courtroom drama. However, in entirety, the film is a let-down and should be avoided. Anshul Sharma (Rohit Bakhshi) proposes marriage to Priti Thakur (Ragini Nandwani), an infamous politician's daughter. Anshul, his parents, and his brother Aakash (Adhyayan Suman) are eager to have Priti enter their home as a newly-wed bride. However, Priti's father and her goony brother, Vishesh Thakur (Vishal Bhonsle) disapprove of the boy. Vishesh ends up killing Anshul, leaving everybody else shocked and in disarray. A courtroom drama ensues. After a few hits and misses, witnesses turning hostile, tampering of evidence, and the backing out of the lawyer, enters the fiery Advocate Dipali (Ashwini Kalsekar). The courtroom scenes were pulled of quite well. However, there is the unnecessary music and the frequent hamming by the cast members. There are awful films made in the industry, but this one did have potential. The first-half was bearable, but the second half totally gets on to your nerves. The heroine of the film had a bad role, and her acting was even worse. Adhyayan should look for another profession. He does put in good effort, but the results are just not satisfactory. 'Dehraadun Diary' is not a film I would recommend. Watch out for the actors, Rohit Bakhshi and Ashwini Kalsekar, albeit in other films!

Dehraadun Diary Review and Box Office Collection

Starring Adhyayan Suman, Rohit Bakshi and Ragini Nandwani Director Milind Ukey has tried the same concept which the viewers have already seen thousands of times. A fight between a common man and a corrupt system is not a new concept in Bollywood.

The movie Dehraadun Diary is a story of superrich and powerful persons crushing the common man with power and the backup of the system. Preeti (Ragini Nandwani), daughter of the Thakurs who have incredibly sound political power, gets into a relationship with Anshul Sharma (Rohit Bakshi) son of a retired IAS officer. Preeti's 'honourable' family strongly disapproves the marriage due to their status and power while Anshul's parents bless them for their marriage. Preeti's shot tempered brother Vishesh (Vishal Bhonsle) gets outraged when he spots the two in a wedding. Later the lad is Anshul is brutally killed. Here enters Anshul's brother Akash (Adhyayan Suman) who sacrifices his future just for the sake of justice for his brother's murder. Apparently, as the case moves on the story gets more boring as the witnesses gets more hostile and once appear and disappear which a viewer won't like at all.

Adhyayan Suman needs to learn a lot to survive in this industry while the debutant actress Ragini has been found nervous and din't performed well as if a lead actress should do.

In short this movie Dehraadun Diary is like a diary which should be untouched.

Star Cast: Adhyayan Suman, Rohit Bakshi, Ragini Nandwani, Rati Agnihotri, Vishal Bhonsle, Ashwini Kaleskar.

Director: Milind Ukey

Dehraadun Diary Critics Review

 1.5/5

Dehraadun Diary is simply unreadable!  - 07 Jan 2013

Some real life incidents inspire good movies, whilst others only make it seem worse. Dehraadun Diary which seems to be inspired by Nitish Katara murder case can be adjudged on similar parameters. Even with the inclusion of all elements like hostile witnesses, candlelight vigils, politicos driving the system, impending justice and finally good winning over evil; the flick fails to infuse and inspire.

Preeti enacted by Ragini Nandwani, is the daughter of the Thakurs who enjoy rich political prominence with strong connections and power. Preeti falls in love with Anshul Sharma (Rohit Bakshi). Anshul hails from a family of retired IAS officer. While the boy's family happily accepts the pair, the young couple remains completely unaware of the political realities that the girl's family hold close.

The plot takes a predictable turn as Preeti and Anshul are spotted by Preeti's brother Vishesh Thakur (Vishal Bhonsle) and the girl's short tempered brother, along with his cousin, ends up brutally murdering Anshul. What follows is the fight for justice undertaken by Anshul's brother Akash (Adhyayan Suman) and his mother (Rati Agnihotri).

Milind Ukey's direction could have been improvised so as to cast a stronger impact. While the romantic part of the screenplay mostly revolved around the scenic backdrops in Dehradun, the rest of the movie contained repetitive shots and overtly used dialogues.

The plot revolves around the stereotypical fight between politicos and common man. Aseem Arora's screenplay does not leave much for the imagination of the audience. While the script has a different case in the backdrop, the same elements come to the fore making the flick boring and non-realistic. What happened in the case is a fact known to all but the story could have been twisted to a much stronger version for the celluloid experience. For instance, the flick shows the victim's family fighting for justice for eight long years. While that might have taken place in reality, the film could have depicted Anshul's family in a much better place.

The script was clearly not thought through or rectified in the final stages. For scenes like a college couple in love, the lead actress Ragini Nandwani, is almost always shown fully decked up in suits and saris which further makes it difficult for the audience to connect. Similarly, the crucial evidences that could have been used to establish a romantic relationship between Preeti and Anshul as the case unfolded are not used initially.

As for the performances, Ragini Nandwini gives an average performance for the role of a lead actress. Rohit Bakshi does just about fine for the screen time allotted to him. Adhyayan Suman does not deliver an effortless performance. Though Suman has brushed up his acting skills as compared to his past movies starting Haal-e-dil in 2008, he seems fit for the supporting cast. Rati Agnihotri easily manages to shine amongst the star cast. Her role as the mother of Anshul Sharma is strong, positive and easy to relate to.

The background score by Hanif Sheikh does not contribute much to uplift the script. The film does not have many songs.  While Nishan in Kavita Seth's voice is a nicely composed number, others like O Piya, Rubaru and Dehraadun Diary theme song; do not have much to talk about. The lyrics are fine but the music is not soulful.

For the final verdict, if you have had a chance to watch No One Killed Jessica, you should know how a real incident based movie looks like. So, avoid this one!

Dehraadun diary

By Meghana BS on January 7, 2013

Cast: Adhyayan Suman, Ragini Nandwani, Rohit Bakhshi, Rati Agnihotri, Ashwini Kalsekar

Director: Milind Ukey

Producer: Ashwagandha Entertainment Pvt. Ltd

Music Director: Hanif Sheikh, Ripul Sharma

Release: 4 January 2013

Dehraadun Diary is another offering by Bollywood that deals with the widespread issue of corruption. Most movies dealing with realistic themes are usually pushed to the ongoing film festivals, collect awards and disappear from public memory even before they enter it. But the trend is changing now, these films are getting their due and this is also true for certain small-budget movies, hence this movie might just be a big hit or maybe not but for now let us see how the album fares.

                  Track                  Singer(s)                  Rating
Dehraadun Diary  Ripul Sharma Rating:
Rubaru Jafery Iqbal Rating:
Nishan Kavita Seth Rating:
O Piya Javed Ali Rating:

 Album Analysis:

1. Dehradun Diary:  This is  fast paced song with some rock influences and will probably go well as the theme of the song and not just one title track per say. I like the background music on its own than with the vocals and even though the song is for a little over two minutes it does not seem extremely short ,maybe an additional 20 seconds or so would also be nice.

2. Rubaru: This one is sweet and pleasantly hummable. It has classical or maybe Hindustani feel to it. A romantic track, it does a pretty nice job in setting the mood. Not the best romantic track around but will grow on the listeners especially after the picturization. Jafery Iqbal's voice is quite pleasant and helps set the mood.

3. Nishan: Now Kavita Saith's voice is nothing you will expect! Raw and powerful, her voice alone will compel you to listen to the sing because it sounds so'.interesting, somewhat reminiscent of Shubha Mudgal. Coming to the song it is quite melodious and does grab your attention. Not a very fast paced song but does take you along its journey.

4. O Piya: I like Javed Ali's voice but other than that I'm not a big fan of this song. It does have some good feel to it and all but is not something different or unique that will grab people's attention immediately.

Music is one of the most integral aspects of a Bollywood movie and rightly so, since they help set the mood and tone of the movie, sometimes even helping box office performances. The songs of Dehradun Diary are pleasant enough and some may even grow on you fully but it is not one of those albums that instantly grab you and hold in your attention, but it does have some promise. So do check it out, who knows it may make an impact!

Picks of the album: Dehraadun Diary, Rubaru, Nishan

Verdict:  Nott amazing but does have promise!

Films that deal with issues are always tricky. While the motive may be to create awareness and raise questions, it is, ultimately, a film, and that requires some semblance of creativity and cohesiveness. Unfortunately, Dehraadun Diary has neither.

The movie begins with a girl writing her diary - her voiceover tells us that Dehradun is the place for "innocent love". She then goes on to speak of her love story with one Anshul Sharma (Rohit Bakshi), the kind of guy that any girl will fall for.

Anshul's virtues are extolled, but never displayed, throughout the movie. He is in love with Priti (Ragini Nandwani), whose last day in college coincides with Valentine's Day, and this is his final chance to confess his true feelings. Within moments (blink, and you will miss it), Anshul and Priti are a couple.

In the meantime, Anshul's younger brother, Aakash (Adhyayan Suman), is home, and the two brothers are apparently very close. Their parents (Manuj Bhaskar and Rati Agnihotri) are super-indulgent, and all is well in the Sharma house. Anshul introduces Priti to his family, and it transpires that her brother is the notorious Vishesh Thakur (Vishal Bhosle), who was accused in a murder case earlier.

Before you can say "wedding bells", Vishesh gets worked up on seeing Priti dancing with Anshul (the couple cannot see him, although he is three feet away), and offers to take the latter on a long drive. Vishesh and his cronies kill Anshul and burn the body.

The Sharmas spend the next eight years looking for justice. Witnesses turn hostile, their lawyer resigns, Priti disappears, some deaths occur, and so on. You see, Priti's father is Sadgun Thakur, the corrupt MLA who becomes an MP as the story progresses. That explains all the misfortune - even the cops are in his pocket.

Drawing inspiration from real life cases, Dehraadun Express has its fair share of shock-value moments and dialogues. It follows Aakash's journey as he tries to get the court to come to a decision.

Unlike Sabrina Lall in No One Killed Jessica, Aakash is somewhat self-absorbed and wimpy. This aspect in his character immediately turns the movie into just another preachy movie with little substance. There is a lot of crying and wailing, and tragic moments, but you wish it would get over and done with quickly - you get it, India has flaws and justice is always delayed etc., but there is little else happening between one court session and another. Some of the saccharine-sweet moments may make you nauseous.

The movie spans a period of eight years, but none of the characters ages a single day, despite all the stress that they go through. And Priti's evolution from a college girl to a tragic figure with mental problems is handled very shabbily. Two-thirds of the movie deals with courts and lawyers, and some of the liberties taken with court proceedings and orders are too fantastical to be believed.

It hardly helps that the actors ham throughout the movie. Rohit Bakshi and Ragini Nandwani are straight out of a TV serial - their expressions, smiles, body language, dialogue delivery, dance steps, problems etc. are reminiscent of youth soaps on television. Both of them have extreme reactions to situations, and overacting is an understatement. And both wear heavy make-up.

Adhyayan Suman tries his best to carry the movie on his shoulders, but fails. At least he is sincere. Vishal Bhosle is suitably menacing. Manuj Bhaskar has too little to do, and looks too young to be a retired IAS officer.

The actors, then, are the three older women in the film - Rati Agnihotri, Neelima Azim and Ashwini Kalsekar. They are earnest, although they do go overboard with their roles. Ashwini Kalsekar is the most convincing of the lot.

Then there is this other actor who plays the role of an important witness, who looks like a drug addict but is actually a God-fearing honest man. His portrayal of the character is effective, and the most genuine in the movie.

The production design is below average. Passing off Mumbai locations as Dehradun locales is pass - sometimes, it becomes confusing, because some of the landmarks are obviously in Mumbai, like the bungalow that the Sharmas live in. Since Dehradun is a part of the title, a few more visuals of the place could have created the required ambience.

Low budget may be a factor here, and that would explain why the few shots of a "London suburb" are so unconvincing, but it could have been presented better. Costumes fare no better, and Rati Agnihotri looks like she got her own clothes, because her sarees stand out in sharp contrast.

Dehraadun Diary deals with an issue that should be discussed - honour killing. The movie could have made a difference, especially now, with the entire nation clamouring for better laws, but sadly, it makes a mockery of the issue. Not intentionally, because the makers obviously believe in their product, but maybe bigger producers and actors were not interested in this story, and therefore it was made within limited resources. Watch it just to appreciate the initiative of the makers, andnothing else.

Dehraadun Dairy

by Box Office India (January 4, 2013)
Banner: Ashwagandha Entertainment,
Swami Samartha Creations :
Producers: Anitta Dhawan Nandwani,Yatin Nandwani
Director: Milind Ukey
Cast: Adhyayan Suman, Ragini Nandwani, Rohit Bakhshi, Ashwini Kalsekar, Rati Agnihotri, Neelima Azim,
Vishal Bhonsle:

Based on honour killings in North India, Dehraadun Dairy portrays the sordid saga of a family's fight to seek justice for their son, who has been brutally murdered by a politician's son. The film is inspired by the real-life incident of the gruesome Nitish Katara murder case.
Anshul Sharma (Rohit Bakhshi) is in love with Priti Thakur (Ragini Nandwani) from his college and they plan to get married. While Sharma's parents approve of the relationship, there is staunch opposition from the Thakurs. At a friend's wedding reception, Priti's brother Vishesh Thakur (Vishal Bhonsle), on the pretext of having a word with Anshul, takes him out on a drive and murders him with the help of his cousin and a friend. Following this, the Sharmas, Anshul's brother Akash Sharma (Adhyayan Suman) and Neelima Sharma (Rati Agnihotri) lodge a police complaint against the Thakurs.
The story of the film, written by Aseem Arora, is good but there are loopholes as well. For instance, in the eight-year process to seek justice, why is crucial evidence like the greeting cards and love letters written by the young woman, not presented during the murder trial initially? Also, the way the story proceeds gives you a sense of dj vu, from several films based on social-pilitical drama. Cinematography by Devendra Golatkar is monotonous. The introductory scenes are mundane, comprising routine scenes of the city Dehradun. The background score is decent and there are not many songs in the
film.

Performance-wise, Adhyayan Suman is good. He plays his part with ease.Rohit Bakhshi doesn't have much screen time and delivers an average performance. Ragini Nandwani, who debuts with this film, justifies her character. Rati Agnihotri, Neelima Azim and Vishal Bhonsle are apt.

Verdict: Disaster
