windows xp help needed

hi  actually i was on india-forums.in but i forgot my id there and now since its merger one id is used so here i am

i m  mostly in other sections like tv shows

i have one problem hope someone would help me in some ways

and i hope i m following the rules here

 i have  windows xp installed on one of my machines and lately it is giving me some problems and i need to format my c:/ drive and reinstall windows xp with cd.

 so can anyone help me with step by step installation .in simple language

i know one more thing which my techie guy told me winxp takes all drivers itself so even if u dont hv cd for lan display or sound win xp cd wud take care of that

i have seen him do that but i m still confused

and also how do i put it in network using lan

i wud be grateful for ur help
