Thats it... No radical RSS ideology is propagated... Just that the BJP/RSS want more emphasis to be laid on India's Hindu past than India's Muslim past since they are hell bent on protraying Muslims as foreigners who settled in India...
Thts true... But given the vast religious and ethnic diversity of India... It is better such bitter truths are concealed... I mean bashing a certain community spreads more hatred than improving the knowledge base of students...

I very well know what BJP/RSS stand for, do we want to believe in what the congress has written into the history considering their trackrecord
I would be very curious to find out what BJP/RSS write in the history books about 1948 and 1962
Well... Nothing anti Congress or anti Cong leaders.. Because Nehru and gang are considered highly respected historical figures... and the BJP maintain that respect... Even if it is pseudo respect...

The only manipulations tht they do is regaring religious issues...
They leave no stone unturned in portraying Muslim Rulers including Aurangazeb and Babar as ruthless and inhuman...
So is that incorrect that Aurangzeb and Babar were ruthless and inhuman? all historic accounts prove that, why are we pulling the wool of our eyes?
And glorigying the Hindu Kings who fought against them...
ok that may be incorrect, debatable, but that is upon the state education to decide what to have in there, I know Nehru's version of the history was not accepted in certain parts, b'cos he was looking at it from a PC perspective.
They have even inserted things saying Hindus were a benevolent lot to let Muslim "foreigners" into their land and to make it their home.
Is there some truth to that? or we just dont want to say it b'cos it is an unpleasant truth?

why is this a problem, current Muslims in our country are as much Indians as we are, this is not religous class, this is HISTORY
Regardless of the element of truth... I dont think such incitings things should be included in textbooks...
Why, History is supposed to be reflection into the past, and supposed to serve us to learn a lesson, why hide?
Coming to 1948 and 1962 and 65 and 71.... Not much other than that there was a war... India managed to keep half of Kashmir while the Pak army occupied the rest...
According to History, the entire Kashmir decided to join India, if that is true and All the history tells me, is we won all the wars,
If you win a war, how did we lose a peice of land in Kashmir? can someone explain that to me? Why does the History not explain that to me?
About China war, We lost a huge part of the country due to Nehruji sleeping on the wheel in 1962
There was a war.. India almost went upto Lahore but had to come bck since annexing foreign territory is unconstitutional...
the POK is as much in dispute as is J & K, convienient fact forgotten under the Congress Govt
India helped Banglaesh gain independence...
India army fought bravely but the Chinese army was too strong for them...
Was that the military which lost or was it the leadership that caused us to lose? As far as the historic accounts go, Nehru was in two minds whether to respond or not, causing the military to not respond, causing positions to be lost, lives to be lost of the military

Why is it unconvienient to hear the truth about Aurangzeb and Babar, when everyone likes to rant about RSS
. RSS is an equivalent of Syed Shahbuddin and his ilk, but we have a problem pointing fingers towards them
I am not saying let us rewrite the entire history, but I do not want someone to teach a history from a political correct standpoint and forget about the atrocities committed, b'cos what we saw in Aurangzeb is revisiting us in the form of Taliban and we should have been the best prepared for this, than anybody else in the world b'cos we have dealt with this form earlier on.
But our current generation is left oblivious to this history and an important lesson is lost
We all are now citizens of this country, we should all know where we came from, what mistakes were made by our forefathers, so we do not repeat them, if you hid the mistakes of our forefathers, we will repeat them
History can be taught without causing religious disharmony

he will be in a few months from now, but if he had not done anything, Saddam would still be ruling Iraq for another 10-20 years
