Epilogue

Piya was standing near the window, looking outside toward the wedding preparation. People working under orders, setting chairs, doing flowers decoration and were trying their best to make everything memorable for the couple. They opted for a Christian style beach resort wedding. The lawn of the resort was decorated using white lilies in a simple yet elegant way for the ceremony. The area was facing the breathtaking view of the crystal clear sea. It was going to be a very intimate function where only family members and close friends were invited. Piya hoped it would remain as they planned without any unwanted attention. Seven years, and she still had not gotten used to it.. People trying to click her pictures, trying to talk to her, interrupting in her personal life without permission. This all still nervous her.
Since the day AR had decided to shown up in her school for her graduation ceremony, their relationship came to everyone's eyes. She was surprised to see him there. So was the whole school . Everyone went crazy..from students to teachers after seeing him among them. They wanted to click pictures and kept asking for autographs. The very next day this news was all over on the Internet. Everyone got to know that she was dating pop star AR. Good thing was.. The school was over and she didn't have to go there after that, otherwise it would have been troubling.
When she had left the town for college, distance increased between them. She couldn't see him every weekend unlike earlier, and if he had been touring for shows, several days goes without seeing each other. Best thing about those days was that he always returned back to her, and everytime, when he got back he used to hug her tightly for a long moment. That say he missed her as much as she did. She used to live for those hugs.
Piya believed in lying low. She focused on her study, give time to her relationship with him and stayed out of limelight. The less they'd see the less they would talk about. First few months of their relationship had been troubling for piya. Paparazzi used to follow her on her way to college, tried to talk to her and asked several questions about their relationship. And if it wasn't enough AR rumoured to had relationship with other girls. Girls who were celebs like him. She used to get jealous very easily but with time she learned to trust him. She trusted him when he clarified all the rumours saying he would always be loyal to her. And, he had been loyal to her. She knew that much.
Like any other 'normal' couple they had their share of fights. Infact, they used to fight too much over phones or during live chats. She wasn't the only one who used to get jealous.. AR was way ahead of her. He had gotten irked several time whenever he got to know that she had been spending time with other guys, didn't matter even if the guy had been assigned as her work partner by the professor itself. He always feared that those guys were hitting on her.
Though, those fights used to sorted out itself when he comes to meet her.
Standing the other side of the window she admired the white lilies decoration. Everything looked breathtaking, surreal. The door opening sound distracted her, she turned around and saw AR was walking into the room. Dressed in his torn jeans and sport jacket he entered into room in a hurry holding his electric guitar.As soon his eyes fell on piya he looked surprised..wasn't expecting to see her there. "Oops.. wrong room. " He smiled at her. Putting his guitar aside he came to her. "Haven't you came too early for 1st year anniversary celebration ? " She smiled back, taunting him.
"Yeah Doctor, I was thinking to attend the wedding first. " He wrapped his arms around her back and moved his head to the side as he lean in to hug her. Standing on her tiptoe, she put her arms around his neck, reciprocating the hug. His cheek brushed up against her face as nuzzled his face into the her neck. He squeezed lightly in his arms.Taking a deep breath she closed her eyes and relaxed. That was the way he liked to hug her.
"Hmm...You should get ready, you know? " He whispered dozily, inhaling into her hairs.
"So you should. " She replied in same manner.
"Yes. But I kind of don't feel like leaving you rightnow. "
"Then don't..." She breathed. He nuzzled his nose on side of her neck, murmuring, "As you say.. " . They stayed like that for several minutes, Untill door opened again.
"Doctor Dobrial, I'm not feeling fine... " Alina walked in hurriedly, followed by jenny.Her eyes shoot open when he found AR there with piya. They both looked at her, guilty. Dressed in her bridal attire, alina looked mesmerising. Her hair tied in a Beehive style bun, that suited her face perfectly. "Damn, you look beautiful ! " AR complimented her. She blushed slightly, then turned angry "What the hell are you doing here ? " She asked, putting her hands on his hips. Seeing him in him torn jeans, she went more annoyed. "And why you both aren't ready yet ? " . They both looked at each other and expect the other one to give the answer.
"Gosh, you guys. "
"I came late. Couldn't find the right room and endup here.. not saying I'm not happy about it. " He smirked, looking at piya. Alina shook her head and told jenny to take him to the right room. He gave a quick kiss to piya and then left with jenny.
"Now, you better get ready. " She said to piya. "I'm going.. " She lifeted her hands in surrender. "But, I heard you saying you aren't feeling fine.. what happened ? " She enquired before leaving for getting ready.
"I don't know.. " Alina sat on the bed as she began saying nervously "I'm feeling restless, no nervous, I think I don't want to get married. Let's cancel it. " She blurted out. Piya understood she was getting cold feet. "Fine. Let's cancel it. " She said carelessly.
Alina eyes pop out "What? No !! "
"If It is what you want. " Piya shrugged. "No !.. " Alina swallowed "I want to get married. "
"Good. Don't distract yourself from what you want. "
Alina watched her with narrowed eyes as she stated "You should be the last person anyone should ever consider to come if they get cold feet before their wedding. "
"Spread the news. " Piya smirked.
"Meanie.. " She grumbled and walk out of the room, leaving piya laughing.

Alina hold her bouquet lower , coming infront of her father who looked misty eyes as he observed his daughter in wedding dress. She kissed on his cheek and locked her arm with him. Her eyes went at the end of the aisle from where dave was smiling at her. A group of violinist started playing a very romantic music and Guests stood up from their seat as she walk down the aisle. Every eyes was on her, It all was nervousing her but she held her nervousness back and tried to live the moment. At the end of aisle, her father gave her hand in dave' hand. He smiled at him then walked back at the start of aisle gracefully. Alina smiled nervously at AR who was standing across them, handsomely dressed up in a suit, all ready for the ceremony.
Music changed, And now violinist started playing the tone of piya's favourite song "The home is where the heart is ", as soon piya come to came to view. Dressed in off shoulder bridal dress which have massive flares she made abhay's heartbeat skip. Her hairs tied in a curly messy bun with a beautiful tiara attached to its side.
His dad smiled at her affectionately and offered her his arm. She locked his arms with him, holding her beautiful flower bouquet. He escorted down the aisle. It was all feeling dream like, and she did feared she would wake in any moment. The way AR was staring her was increasing her adrenaline. This was the man who had truly impressed her heart. At the end of aisle, her dad gave her hand in Abhay's hand, saying "Take care of her. "
"I will. " Abhay replied with a smile on his face. Her dad returned thr smile and went to stand with her mother.. He kissed her knuckles and they both came infront of minister. Music stopped as minister began his welcoming speech for the couples. Piya saw abhay' parents were standing there with dave's. They both smiled at her, his mother looked gushed. There was dean, standing behind dave as his best man. His eyes flirting with jenny who was alina' bridesmaid. It seem a new couple was in making.
Minister finished his speech and began the ceremony, it was dave and alina's turn first. "I got a smile from your father. " She heard abhay saying in happy voice.
"I told you he'd come around. " She replied, keeping her voice low so only he could hear her.
"I'm glad he did. " He said in a sing sang voice, which made piya smiled broader.
The day piya had earned her medical degree and began practicing as a surgeon, no one was more happier than her father because he always feared that her relationship with AR would distract her from achieving her goal. He never liked their relationship and AR always had tough time coming infront of him. Her dad was worried that AR would hurt her because he could see his daughter had been falling in love with him. He even warned AR several times not to hurt her. It took him seven years and a wedding setting to realised that AR might really serious about this relationship. All well when end was well, Piya sighed.
Minister pronounced alina and dave as husband and wife after exchanging their vows and said those infamous line "You may now kiss the bride. " dave kissed her and they both looked so happy. Then, minister turned to AR and Piya. They exchanged their vows before God, family and friends, then made wear wedding rings to each other. "I now pronounce you husband and wife... You may now kiss the bride." Announced the minister. AR held piya from waist and kissed her with full authority. He broke the kiss, and stared into her eyes. Everyone clapped for both the couples, congratulating them.
"I have question for you." AR brought his face near her ear and said softly "Are still virgin ? " He asked teasing her. Piya blushed hard. "No. I lost it to an idiot few years ago. " She hardly managed to reply.
"What a shame. " He chuckled, giving a peck on her earlobe. And she gone breathless.. he very well knew her sensitive places. "I Love You, Mrs Raichand. "
"I Love You Too, Mr. Raichand. " She said back.
"For life and after.. ? "
"For life and after.. " There, she made a promise to him.
