In the journey of life when you meet a person with infinite dreams in eyes, passion in heart, determination & dedication in mind, you're approach & perspective towards life change & how? It's exactly what happened to thousands of fans & wellwishers when this just turned 26 years old Kolkata boy stepped into their hearts. It's 7^th March finally & we are here to celebrate the birthday of Shantanu Magical Maheshwari who acted & danced his way straight into our hearts to uphold a permanent place forever. We laughed, cried, grooved into joy with him over years as well as cherished his success & happiness. Everytime he rose & shined with his powerhouse of acting & dancing skills, his achievements filled our hearts with pride as his fans & wellwishers. So here's wishing the one & only SHANTANU MAHESHWARI A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY who brightens our life with his mesmerizing smile, mischievous glint on eyes & magnificent persona.

When there is a will, there is a way, & here the will was so vehement that it leads this Kumartuli boy from city of joy to city of dreams. As a kid he learnt his initial lesson of dance from Anurag Mohta & Subrata Roy. He participated in Kya masti kya dhoom, dance bangle dance & boogie woogie where he was immensely praised for his moves & expression. He also went into winning many State & National level dance competition during schooldays which ultimately led him moving into Mumbai in 2009 to prove his mettle as dancer.

In Mumbai he joined to HR College of Commerce where he became part of Street Soul Dance crew. Along with teammates he won many street dance battles & solo battles too where he as a dancer explore various dance form like hip hop, popping, locking, liquid waving.

His journey with SSDC got him into first Nokia India Fest, a great platform for talent in 2011, followed by winning the solo footloose hiphop championship which brought him into the eyes of the creatives of Channel V Dil Dosti Dance, the first youth dance based daily soaps, where he bagged the role of Swayam Shekhawat. Rest is history.

The character of Swayam is best described in two simple and by now very familiar words: lover boy. He is every girl's dream come true: so unconditional in his love for Sharon that it was a wonder how she didn't fall for him sooner. He saw, felt and breathed her as so central to his existence that his entire personality was defined by his love for her. As we accompanied him on his journey through the years, we uncovered more layers and more shades to him, brought out to perfection by Shantanu, who lived Swayam in a way no one else could have. He garnered immense fan following as Swayam thanks to his impeccable dancing skills, his acting chops and his beautiful on-screen chemistry with Vrushika as Swayam-Sharon.

Post D3 he explored his talent purely based on acting as Rahul, a cancer patient in the episodic Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, dejected & despaired by terminal illness who found back happiness, love, life in a fellow sufferer. Rahul was exactly pole apart from Swayam which he managed to pull off with such visual brilliance left us awed & astounded on his acting ability in just his second acting project. He went into ruling our hearts in back to back episodic Yeh Hai Ashiqui on Bindaas TV as Shaan, a law intern with speech disabilities, casted opposite Vrushika Mehta, his most loved onscreen partner, who overcomes his disabilities by the midus touch of the girl he loved, Rukshaar & Twist Wala Love; Fairytale redefined on Channel V India as Vivaan, a passionate dancer who dreams with his feet to fly high along with DID fame Mohena Singh. He has lent his voice over for the character Purab in yeh hai ashiqui episodic. Every character was complete different from previous one but Shantanu being his own standard setter went into breaking his previous record of finesse with next excellence.

Emerging himself into acting he somehow was missing his passion for dance & to replenish that passion he presented himself along with his crew Desi Hopper in the International platform of WOD Championship where they not only won the trophy but grabbed the hearts of judges & many. Bidaas Naach, his First Non fictious reality show documented the whole journey to get the viewers the insight of the extremely hard but beautiful journey of Desi Hoppers to WOD. Later on Crew Desi Hoppers conducted many dance workshop named Streetmation across the various city of India. After the victory the crew was called to showcase it's move in the stage of America's Got Talent & popular TV show Day Day Up in China.

Some people are born to conquer in every field, every aspect of life & once you come across Shantanu Maheshwari You'll what does that mean. He always gave us opportunities to praise him to bits & be proud of him.

Box Cricket League

Shantanu appeared in two season of BCL: a television celebrity cricket league where his contribution to team Gheant Punjabi led his team to win. The team was later renamed as Chandigarh Cubs of which he's a very part of.

In 2015, Shantanu was the face of the Hewlett Packard pavilion X 360 product last year with the 40 seconds of the ad focusing primarily on him. Directed by Chak De! India maker Shimit Amin, the ad sees Shantanu play a young and yuppie start-up entrepreneur. Shantanu's smile and pointing to his laptop, saying: "I like your soch, but love my approach." won our hearts. The ad went onto win the best ad award at Prime Time Awards 2016.

In the year of 2016, He also appeared in a promotional dance video for Fashion at Big Bazaar alongside Terence Lewis (Choreographer).

In 2017, He also launched the Spring Collection of The Maxx Retail store(Mumbai).

Shantanu is featured into PCRA, SakshamPledge Campaign 2017, an initiative by Govt. Of India for saving fuel & natural secources in 2017.

In the same year, Shantanu became part of prestigious Bollywood Theme Park in Dubai alongside SRK.

Shantanu along with vrushika were blessed with the opportunity to give tribute to the iconic couple SRK-Kajol on the stage of Telebration by Saas Bahu Saazish on the song yeh ladka hai deewana in front of the aforesaid actors themselves & made their way in to the heart of actor Varun Dhawan & Kriti sanon who not only praised them but shaked their legs with them coming on stage garnering them a lifetime moment to cherish for them as well as their fans.Edited by Mellifluous - 7 years ago

Shantanu Maheshwari led crew Desi Hoppers created history by winning the 1^st ever World of Dance Finals at Los Angeles on 16^th August, 2015. They did India proud by defeating 34 hip hop crews from several countries to clinch the much coveted trophy along with the title of Crowd favourite'. They not only got a standing ovation, but the audience was seen reaching out to them after the performance to applaud their effort. One of the judges at the WOD Finals summed up their win beautifully by saying "Desi Hoppers really stood out as original. What was entertaining about them is that they incorporated and fused their cultural roots in their choreography and music choices, so it really drew the audience in and felt refreshingly new."

In November 2014 he Indian Television Academy Viewer's Choice Award for Favourite On-screen Jodi went to Shantanu Maheshwari and Vrushika Mehta. Shantanu along with Vrushika also made us proud by adeptly hosting the first segment at the awards night. The two of them became the first actors from Channel V's fiction line up to win an award...and it was justice long overdue and recognition well deserved, for the talent, hard work and resilience that both of them had put in against massive odds. Come November 2014 , and the magazine cover with Shantanu holding his ITA trophy along with Vrushika is one that every VruShan fan will preserve in their memory for eternity.

Shantanu earned a nomination at the Indian Telly Awards in September 2014 for Best Choreography along with Macedon DMello for Alvida - one of their personal favourite pieces as they themselves put it and one of their most heart-touching pieces of choreography too. Though they did not finally win the award, like Shantanu said, the nomination itself was worth a lot.

Shantanu Maheshwari had been selected as the first Teen Sensation of India, which meant that he became the first actor from the entertainment industry in India to have his own range of merchandise. As he put it - "This was a medium of getting closer to well-wishers and connecting with them," which is now possible through things that can be a part of our daily lives with Shantanu etched onto them, ranging from notepads, laptop and mobile covers to pillows, mugs, keychains, bookmarks, coasters and more!

Shantanu portrayed a passionate musician Sahir Bhasin in MTV India's youth show Girl's On Top who has temper issue. So unlike from his previous roles but the common thing is he again pulled it off with great eminence & overshadowed all.

With every ups & downs, odd & even he never left dance & this intense passion for dance again knocked his way in the year of 2016 in the form of Jhlak Dikhla Jaa, India's most popular celebrity based dance show where he shows his tremendous potential to grow as a versatile dancer by attempting dance forms from hiphop to bollywood, to folk, to popping, to contemporary, to house, to quick step, to chhou, to robotics. Along with choreographer partner Alisha his moves kept the viewers, judges & many renowned personalities from cultural industry captivated. Though he couldn't manage to win the trophy & finished his journey on 3^rd position but the recognition & fame he got from JDJ is more than winning' in his own language. Well, needless to say we over again fell for his dance moves & delighted to get the chance to be called proud fans.

Shantanu was last seen playing a boy named Rishabh, in a scenario of 2027, where he meets his love Sonia, whom he fears to speak with in reality, played by Sheikh Nadia, in a virtual reality app, in Thought process film's first ever short film Something Like Love which released on 24^th February,2017. Once again he got back to his acting zone & played it with absolute conviction.

Many Step has taken, many to come, we only know he will shine & shine, because sky is the limit. We wish you all the very best in your every future endeavors.
