SRK was always popular overseas. Salman was in the 90's then in 2000-2009 just like in India his films didnt do to well there with the exception of a few films like Partner and MSK did well. His Salaam-e-ishq which flopped in India was a huge success overseas. Then post Dabangg/Bodyguard he regained his standing.Then Bajrangi was a big film for him. Aamir in the 1990s wasn't a big star in Overseas. , If we compare DDLJ/HAHK to Raja Hindustani. Both DDLG,HAHK did 4/5 million. RH did not even cros 1 million. Post Lagaan I think it changed. Fanaa in 2006 was an all time opener in Overseas. Then 3 Idiots was another game changer for him. I will give credit to SRK cause non holiday films of Salman/Aamir (Talash,Jai Ho) were moderate success's in overseas. But his Fan still crossed 10 million.
