Episode 7: Jyotika is saved
Neeti had a friendly talk with Anandrupa about Rohit. Anandrupa's feelings for Rohit were getting very obvious and Neeti advised her to stop trying to hide it. Vidhan was still reeling after Daler said he was suspicious about his stuttering. Banjo and Ashutosh tried to calm him down, but the more they tried the more upset Vidhan got. Dean Palash called a meeting with the three participants in the Danger Zone to express his distress. He was particularly unhappy with Vidhan's performance. But Rohit wasn't spared either. The Dean said he needed to improve, fracture or no fracture. Jyotika had performed solidly and, hence, was not ticked off by the Dean. In the voting round, Dean Palash called everyone together and asked them to show whom they had voted for. Almost everyone had voted for Jyotika, which was not surprising. Anandrupa voted for Rohit, which, too, was not surprising. What was surprising and a bit sad was that nobody voted for Vidhan. Even Dean Palash expressed his regret about this fact. Vidhan lost his cool for a moment during the voting when his friend Banjo tried to justify his not voting for him. Dean Palash intervened and settled the matter.

Later on Vidhan patched up with Banjo, ending the episode on a hopeful note.

Episode 8: Fame X-ians win a night out
Vidhan, as a special concession, was allowed to call home and talk to his mother and father. His father encouraged him by saying he had already made them proud. His mother wished him lots of luck and asked him to stay strong. Dean Palash called Anandrupa into his office and asked her if the rumours about an affair between her and Rohit were true. Anandrupa denied it, saying they were just good friends. However, it was evident that they shared a special bond—she always took care of him during lunch and teased him while he practiced. Dean Palash surprised everyone by announcing that his band, Euphoria, was in the Academy and would join the students. The thrilled students were given a further surprise when they were told that they would get a chance to sing with the band. Dean Palash divided them into three groups and gave each group a song from his band, asking them to re-compose it any way they liked. The winner, he said, would get a night out! The first group—Ashutosh, Sammy, Vidhan, Arunima and Priyanka—got the famous song Mayeri. They changed it completely, yet kept the soul intact. The second group—Jyotika, Rakesh, Alok, Neeti and Banjo—got the song Sason me jo, meri baton me jo and sang it beautifully. The third group—Rohit, Anandrupa, Ritu, Aditya and Rehan—got the song Aage jane Ram kya hoga and gave a powerful rendering of the song. Dean Palash admired everyone's performance, but declared the first group as the winner. They won a dinner in one of Mumbai's popular restaurants, Aura, which they enjoyed thoroughly. Vice president of the Academy, Sowmya Rao, was in charge of the rehearsal session for Rohit and Vidhan. She was unhappy about Rohit's performance and told him so, but Rohit quickly improved and sang well. Vidhan was slightly nervous, but Sowmya's gentle encouragement helped him regain his confidence. Later the Fame X-ians played a game of Truth or Dare. Though a fun game, it could get pretty tricky at times. Neeti chose 'Dare' and was asked to kiss Rakesh on the cheeks as if she were admitting her love for him. She carried the task with aplomb. Sammy chose 'Truth' and Ritu asked him if he would prefer a love marriage or an arranged one. There was much cheering when Sammy chose the former. Arunima was given, perhaps, the most difficult task. She had to hold Rakesh's sweaty, smelly sneaker to her nose for a full minute. And she almost completed her task! Ritu showed her glamorous side when she had to sing seductively to Ashutosh. And Vidhan, upon much urging, finally agreed that among the girls, he liked Arunima the best. But the crme de la crme was Banjo's 'Dare'. He wore Arunima's clothes and danced to the tune of Patali kamar lachakake. It was a hilarious performance and as expected, was aided by whistles from the boys and uncontrollable laughter from the girls.

Lastly, various students appealed to the audience to vote for either Vidhan or Rohit.

The bigger, better and stylish version of Fame Gurukul. And this time it's on SAB.

Y oung is what defines today. Fame X is here to find the omnipotent talent, and the firepower with respect to music performance.

X is bold

X is on the face

X is raw

X is the attitude you wear

X is the head held up high even when the chips are down…

X is here to stay…

X is the X-Factor

The Concept

16 young and raring-to-go individuals will try and survive 13 weeks of tough competition in the university of music (Fame Academy) under the vigilance and tutelage of great music maestros and other professionals from different fraternities. Week on week whatever they've learnt will be tested and adjudged by our distinguished and powerful jury and of course, the nation. Every performance round will mark the ouster of one contestant, so the competition keeps getting tougher at every stage of the show. At the end the best performing contestant shall be crowned the winner of the FAME X.

The Reality

Fame X is more than just singing…it's life… and in life what does it take more to win a competition…Fame X is a search, a hunt to find those contestants who have that X-factor in them…who will survive the test of time and breed only the spirit of winning. For these 16 contestants, it's dog eat dog…since the stakes are very high…Fame X will unleash conflict…that conflict which will thrive on competition and the contestant's need to win…

The New Generation X

The soul of Fame X is music and the music will reflect the X factor. Fame X will explore all genres of music.( Pop, Rock, Remix, Bollywood, Punjabi, Disco, Hip-Hop, the regional flavor et al)

Journey of the X-Factor

After the auditions in Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Delhi, Kolkata & Mumbai Palash Sen selected 200 aspirants finally reducing the number to 64 finalists. The journey to Fame is full of surprises & the contestants at every step had to showcase their talent, drive & their X factor to make it to the next level!!!The 64 finalists had to face rigorous schedule at a two day workshop. The contestants went through training sessions with Dean Palash Sen & vocal coach Sowmya Raoh.

Second day of the workshop saw Ganesh Hegde troupe train the contestants. Finally 16 finalists who exhibited talent & X factor were short listed to be a part of the Fame X Academy.

Reality in store

The coming weeks will take you on a roller coaster ride with all the excitement and frenzy reaching soaring heights. The show will take you on a higher level entertainment platform with grand sets, startling costumes and impressive performances by the 16 finalists. The 16 contestants will live together at the prestigious 'Fame X Academy 'where their raw talent will be tested to it's core by industry experts, who train them vocally. They will also get to meet and perform alongside some of the music industry's biggest stars who also mentor the contestants. Meanwhile cameras follow the students' every move, 24/7. You all get to see their talents blossom and the drama of their personal relationships unfold as every week passes by.

Fame X Show Format

Each week will showcase individual contestants perform live and the judges will nominate four contestants for eviction in the DANGER ZONE. In the moment of high drama, every Monday, one out of those four contestants will be saved by the Faculty & three still remain in the danger zone. But the drama doesn't end here… In a highly charged moment on every Tuesday, the fellow aspirants too get a chance to vote on which one amongst the final three should remain in the academy while two still remain in the danger zone. The competition gets fierce as the fellow contestants vote against each other to save themselves & that leads to greater, behind-the-scenes drama, as the contestant could go back to live at the academy with some of his fellow contestants who have voted him out. Every Wednesday, you get to watch the reality episodes, behind the scenes drama, training sessions at the Fame Academy…basis which you will vote for your favourite contestant. The voting lines close on Thursdays and the entire nation's verdict is announced wherein one out of the two nominated contestants gets evicted.

So let's see who's X-factor wins…

In today's caf round, Fame Kudi Sophie Choudhry introduced the two Danger Zone contestants, Rohit and Vidhaan. The buzz, she said, was not from any coffee vending machine, but from the competition.

Sophie mentioned how Vidhaan had been depressed the last time because of Daler's remarks. She said Daler had clarified that Vidhaan would have to grow a thick skin because he could encounter similar situations in the future. Vidhaan, brimming with confidence, replied that he did not resent anybody.

Ganesh told Rohit, whose problem was over-confidence, to enjoy the performance. He observed that Rohit, in trying to prove a point, was losing the essence of a good performance, which was taking pleasure in what one was doing. Rohit assured him that he would do so from now. Among the contestants, Ashutosh and Sammy said they respected Rohit as a singer.

During the performance, for the first time in the contest, Vidhaan seemed extremely confident and comfortable on stage. He sang Yun to odhale chunariya with such gusto that, at the end of his performance, Dean Palash got up from his seat, went up on stage and gave him a hug. Daler compared him to Sonu Niigaam, one of the finest singers in the industry today. Ganesh made a pun on Vidhaan's favourite phrase sahi hai, saying, "Sahi hai to dahi hai or na bhi ho to dudh to hai hi!"

Special mention was made of Neeti who had choreographed Vidhaan's steps on stage.

Rohit still had his leg in a cast, but he concentrated on his singing and sang Suraj hua madhdham. A sensual song, Rohit got the emotions so correctly that Ganesh couldn't help saying that he was not just happy… but VERY happy about the performance. Daler still voiced some doubt about the limp, but quickly clarified that he was just pulling Rohit's leg. (Pun intended!)

Then it was time for a one-on-one round called 'Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahi'. This was a jugalbandi round in which Vidhaan and Rohit, along with some of the students teased each other with their versions of famous songs. Rohit's Kurta ye jaali vala was answered by Vidhaan's Ai meri joharajabin. Rohit sang Tu hi meri sab hai to Anandrupa followed by Vidhaan teasing them with Kala kauwa kaat khayega.

'Mentos—Dimag Ki Batti Jala De' was a round of fun questions. Ganesh asked Vidhaan what he would do if he snuck into a theatre to catch a show and found Dean Palash in the next seat. Vidhaan immediately said his signature line: "Ye sahi hai, Sir, ye sahi hai!"

Daler asked Rohit what he would do if just before a show he lost his voice. Rohit replied that he would get a readymade track and lip-sync.

Dalerji sang an encouraging verse in his inimitable style wishing the participants all the luck.

Vidhaan appealed to the voters to vote for him using endearing words, while Rohit asked them to vote for him because of his talent.

India will decide now if Rohit's talent will give him a second chance or whether sympathy for Vidhaan will be a deciding factor in Thursday's elimination round.
