Firstly I'd recommend you to get Photoshop because editing is actual fun when done in PS. You get to learn so much and do so much more. With what software you're using, you have been doing fairly well. I like the simplicity of your edits/icons. May be, make them more brighter as some of them seem too dark. Goodluck for the future updates!
