Raman curled up in his mother's lap and shrieked in terror
F/B
It had been two months since Ruhi had been declared dead after her body had been found burnt along with Nidhi's. Raman had gone into depression as a result of the guilt he carried on his heart. He had been running a high fever since a couple of weeks and the barrage of mixed emotion didn't help him any better as his health only deteriorated with the passage of time. Even in his unconscious state, tears rolled out his eyes; pleading forgiveness from the innocent soul who'd lost her precious life due to his misdeeds; that of the past gone by where, even though, he was capable of stopping the mishap; he let things be, resulting in the death of his soul, metaphorically and literally! He had become empty. Neither did he speak, neither did he show any emotion. He had become numb; guilt eating his insides like a parasite!
Ishita, slept, hugging Ruhi's pillow close to her chest, every night. She would scream in agony and doctor's would have to be called, in the middle of the night to inject her with heavy dosages but no injection could help her numb the pain of her daughter's departure. Ishita had began to form a very cynical view of the world from which pessimism started to consume all inches of her existence.
Distances had cropped between IshitaRaman and their relationship as both were too weak to tolerate their separation from Ruhi. On the one hand, where Ishita blamed Raman for Ruhi's untimely demise, on the other, Raman continued to drown in guilt. Cracks had developed and it was now that their relationship had become very fragile and susceptible to break.
