Why Gopi needs someone?

First of all, I am not a regular viewer. Stopped watching after Rashmi died. Ya left way back. But sometimes have to watch bcoz of family.
I'm really frustrated by the news of new lead against Gopi. Com'on she's gonna be a granny and they r thinking of her marriage. Why can't be there some logical track like Vidya having problems in motherhood and Gopi helping her. Or Gopi opening a NGO or such?
