Part Five

Kunj arrived home tired after his court case. Again he had to work really hard to win his client's case. There would be more hearings to come due to the money the opponent had, but he was sure they could win this case. He had also completed some requirements for Twinkle's case.

He couldn't believe who his mother and Bebe were fussing over when he walked into the family room.

What was Twinkle doing here?

"Maa, Bebe yeh yahan kyun hai?," he inquired.

The three women turned to see him startled.

"Isne humari dono ki jaan bachi hai Kunj puttar," Bebe declared.

Kunj looked at Twinkle stunned.

"Aap dono theek toh hai na?," he asked concerned.

"Haan hum theek hain iski vaajha se,"Usha said happily.

Kunj turned solemn when he noticed a fresh bandage on Twinkle's left forearm.

"Bebe, Maa, yeh meri client hai. Mujhe isse akele mein baat karni hai," Kunj stated.

He led her quickly to quiet hallway of the house.

"Yeh chot kaise lagi tuhme?," he asked sternly.

Twinkle realized what it must look like.

"I didn't break the contract. I got hurt when I fell. There was a truck coming, so I got them out of the way  in time but.."

"So this wasn't from a suicide attempt?,"he asked.

"Agar aisa hota Mr. Kunj Sarna phir main abhi yahan kari nahin hoti," she snapped slightly.

She quickly regained her composure.

"Sorry I don't want to be rude, but  I  keep my promises," Twinkle added.

"Theek hai. I am sorry for not trusting you. Since you are here, have dinner then I will drop you home," he offered.

"I am not sure. Don't want to bother you all more than I already have today," she stated.

Kunj looked at her puzzled.

She quickly told him what had happened after she left the police station  earlier that day.

"Bebe is really sweet. But you can stay for dinner. Papa and Surjeet Uncle will be back later this week, we won't have to explain anything. Maa and Bebe already seem to like you.  Thanks for saving them,"Kunj added.

Twinkle nodded.

At dinner, it was Kunj, Cherry , Usha , Bebe and Twinkle. Twinkle learned they had a brother named Anand who was currently in London for a month with his family.

Twinkle felt very welcomed in the Sarna household and was eager to meet the other members of the family.

"Phir aana beta. Ab apna khayal rakna. Kunj aur Cherry ab tumare saath hain. You will win this case," Bebe assured her.

 Twinkle took blessings from Bebe and Usha.

Cherry followed her and Kunj.

"Aaj tum yahan akeli nahin rahogi," Kunj stated.

"But Kunj  I am  trying to prevent from too many people from getting involved. I don't want to get anyone else hurt," Twinkle stated.

" We are going to bring you to a safe house. You will have an undercover lady officer staying with you when myself or Cherry Bhaiya  aren't around," Kunj stated.

She looked at him dumbfounded.

He gazed at her arm.

"We have to get to the court in one piece on Monday Ms. Taneja," he hissed.

She fumed.

" I am usually not this..

"Careless? Go get what you need, then we have to leave," Kunj urged.

She groaned in frustration.

" Be a good girl, go ahead," he said.

She rolled her eyes and walked ahead.

 Twinkle told the  boys to turn their heads as she grabbed her things and placed them in a  suitcase.

Thirty minutes later, they headed towards the safe house.

A woman opened the door. She was young around Twinkle's age.

" Arre Chinky, been so long,, kaisi ho tum?," Twinkle exclaimed.

Chinky gave her smiled back.

"Yeh officer Chinky Sharma hai," Cherry stated.

"Guess you girls know each other," Kunj commented.

"Jee sir. But as she is my friend I will work extra hard to keep her safe," Chinky assured the two men.

"If there is any issue, you need to call me. Don't be a good for nothing," Cherry said trying to sound like her senior.

The girls tried not to laugh aloud in his presence.

"Yes sir," both chimed.

Kunj gave them a considerate look before he left after Cherry walked out of the building.

Twinkle turned to her friend.

"Tune police join karli?," Twinkle asked.

"Yes I did. We can try to have fun. But I have to go change quickly now. I need to keep my cover," Chinky stated.

She returned a few minutes later.

Twinkle filled her in on the case.

"That Yuvraj Luthra was in our school before his mother shipped him off to London years ago. It's a shame he bought your company when he returned. We'll find this Badshah and punish him for sure," Chinky assured her friend.

"Haan meri zindagi mil jaye dobra Chinky, baas yeh chahti hoon. I will do whatever I can to gain my freedom. There is so much I want to do in this life," she declared.

"You will win . Yuvraj Luthra will pay for his crimes!"

The girls slept soon after.

Chinky woke Twinkle up in the morning.

"Twinkle uth ja," she shook her friend.

"Kya hua?," Twinkle asked sleepily.

" Cherry sir called. He needs you ready soon. He has a lead and needs you to meet him somewhere," she replied.

Twinkle recalled she had asked Cherry to involve her actively in the investigation.  She rushed to get ready for the day ahead.

Chinky had her dress up in a disguise.

She attached a small gps in her clothes and a small camera.

"If anything seems amiss , click this twice. This is just a precaution in case Cherry sir gets separated from you," Chinky assured her.

" Theek hai Chinky," Twinkle stated.

Chinky quickly told her how to get to the meeting place.

Twinkle gathered her wits about her. She hoped she would find Badshah soon.

Twinkle peered around the area looking for signs of Cherry.

She suddenly felt a nudge.

"Hello Twinkle jee," he spat out.

She turned around and realized it was Cherry in disguise.

"You look like a decent lawyer," he commented.

Twinkle straightened her collar and thick glasses.

"What are our names in case they ask us?," she asked.

"Aap ho Alisha Kapoor, aur main hoon aap ka pa Sundarjeet," Cherry replied.

"Theek hai," she stated.

"Now one last question, did this Badshah ever see you before?," he asked.

"Nahin toh," she replied.

"Phir chalo. Apparently he is meeting Yuvraj today. Our focus is to intercept him before they both meet," Cherry stated.

"But how will we know if he is the right person?," she asked.

"I have a plan, let's go inside," he stated.

Twinkle sighed.

She never thought she would feel scared . But of course she was meeting a drug dealer very soon.
