Coming back to the chapter,
CHAPTER-49:
Manik and Nandini reached Malhotra Mansion.
Manik got out of the car and opened the door for Nandini.
Nandini was lost in her thoughts and didn't realise that they had reached home.
Manik saw this and called out Nandini's name.
Manik-
Nandini... We have reached home.
Let's go inside.
Nandini was in two minds whether to go inside the house or not.
Manik forwarded his hand .
Nandini looked at Manik's hand and then at his face.
Manik's face fell as Nandini didn't give her hand .
He was about to take back his hand when Nandini held his hand and got off the car.
Manik smiled a little and took Nandini alongwith him towards the house.
He rang the doorbell while Nandini stood behind him and a servant opened the door.
Nyonika who was in the hall with Aaliya and Soha stood up and said-
Manik kaha chala gaya tha Beta is waqt tu?
Pata hai mai kabse tera wait kar rahi thi...
Manik- Mom wo mai kisi ko wapas lane gaya tha.
Nyonika- Kise Beta?
Manik moved aside and Nyonika's eyes fell on Nandini.
Nyonika- Nandini... Ye yaha ????
Manik- Yes. Ab ye yahi rahegi.
Nyonika-
But Beta iski to shadi ho chuki hai to ye yaha kaise reh sakti hai.
Isey to iske husband ke ghar rehna hoga na.
Manik-
You are absolutely right Mom.
She is married now and this is her house . So she will stay here.
Nyonika- Matlab... Mai samjhi nahi.
Manik- Matlab ye ke maine aur Nandini ne shadi karli hai.
Nyonika- What??? Kya bakwas kar rahe ho Manik tum?
Manik- Mom its the truth.
Nyonika- But how? I mean why? Nandini ki shadi to already ho chuki thi aur vidai bhi isi ghar se hui thi phir how is it possible ?
Meanwhile Shanti also came there as the servants had informed her about the arrival of Nandini.
Shanti rushed to Nandini and hugged her.
Shanti- Beta ye sab kya ho raha hai?
Manik- Bua its a long story.
Nyonika-
But Manik you can't marry her.
Tum aisa kaise karsakte ho...
Apni life ka itna bada decision le liya tumne aur mujhse poochna to dur, batana tak zaruri nahi samjha.
Manik-
Mom...I am really sorry for that.
But believe me mai apko hurt nahi karna chahta tha.
Nyonika-
Rehne do Manik ab in sab baaton ka kya fayda.
Tumhe agar hamari parwah hoti to tum aisa bilkul nahi karte.
Manik went to Nyonika and held her hand and said-
Mom please aise mat boliye.
I do care for you both equally.
Manik's dad was also present there.
Manik went to him and said-
Dad aap to jante hai na ke i will not do anything that will hurt you both.
Kya aap bhi mujhse naraaz hai kyunki maine Nandini se shadi karli aapko bina bataye?
Raj didn't say a word and went towards Nandini .
Raj-
Nandini Beta ... Welcome back to our family.
I am so happy to have you back as my daughter in law.
Infact mai to chahta hi nahi tha ki tum is ghar se kabhi bhi jao.
But i am glad that mere Manik ne meri ye wish puri kardi.
Manik i m so proud of you Beta.
Manik got happy that Raj was not angry on him and he was supporting his decision.
Manik hugged Raj and said-
Thanks Dad.
Thank you so much for understanding me.
Nyonika was shocked but kept quiet as she didn't want to create a scene infront of everyone.
She thought to talk to Raj later.
Raj-
Haan theek hai.
But tum dono ashirwaad nahi loge kya mera?
Manik bend down to take the blessings of Raj .
Raj-
Oye... Ye kya kar raha hai.
Sath me loge tabhi milega aashirwad.
Both Manik and Nandini took the blessings of Raj and then went towards Nyonika and took her blessings as well.
Nyonika half heartedly blessed Nandini.
Manik looked at Nandini who was all this while silent and had her head lowererd.
In all this , everyone forget about one person who was standing there with tears in her eyes.
Suddenly Nandini's eyes fell on that person.
The person was none other than Aaliya.
Realisation struck Nandini that she had come in between Manik and Aaliya.
Nandini selfthought-
Oh God... Ye humne kya kardiya.
How could i let this happen?
I have come in between Manik and Aaliya.
Though it was unintentional but in a way i have hurt Aaliya .
I need to talk to her and explain her everything.
Raj to Shanti- Shanti... Nandini ko room me lekar jao.
Shanti- Ji ...
Saying this Shanti took Nandini to Manik's room.
Aaliya couldn't take all this and silently went away from there without anyone's knowledge.
But Manik saw this and followed her.
Before Aaliya could sit in her car, Manik stopped her and said- Aaliya... Listen to me.
Aaliya-
Kya sunu mai Manik?
Itna sab hone ke baad bhi tumhe kuch kehna hai.
Manik-
Aaliya i know you are very upset with all this but i couldn't just let Nandini go away.
She has suffered a lot.
She doesn't deserve all the pain she went through.
She deserves happiness.
Manik told everything that happened .
Aaliya couldn't believe how much Nandini had suffered all this while.
Aaliya composed herself and said-
Mujhe nahi pata tha ki Nandini was hiding so much behind her smiling face.
Manik uska khayal rakhna aur give the world's happiness to her.
Never ever leave her side.
Manik-
Yes...Her happiness is my first priority from now on.
Aaliya smiled and said-
Manik can i get a hug for the last time?
Manik hugged her in a friendly manner and said-
I m really sorry Aaliya for whatever happened .
I hope you will not break your ties with me after this.
Aaliya broke the hug and said-
I won't. Itni aasani se mai tumhara peecha nahi chodne wali.
You have to promise me that you will be my friend for life.
Saying this , Aaliya forwarded her hand.
Manik took Aaliya's hand for a handshake - I promise...
Manik again hugged Aaliya and said - Thanks Aaliya for understanding...
Aaliya- Ok fine... Ab mujhe chalna chahiye.
Manik- I will drop you. Raat bahut hochuki hai.
Aaliya- Its ok Manik. I can manage.
You need to go to Nandini.
She needs you more at this point .
With this Aaliya bid goodbye and drove away.
Manik too went inside and saw Nyonika sitting on the sofa and Raj trying to pacify her.
Manik-
Mom...I know ke aap mujhse bahut naraaz ho.
But believe me maine jo bhi kia soch samajhke kia.
Nandini has suffered a lot Mom ab aur nahi.
Raj-
Bilkul theek keh rahe ho Beta tum.
Mai bhi yahi samjha raha tha but tumhari Mom hai ki kuch sunne ko tayyar hi nahi hai.
Nyonika-
Kya sunu mai?
Aur kyu sunu?
Meri to jaise is ghar me koi value hi nahi hai.
Jo bhi decision lena hota hai tum dono le lete ho.
Aur mujhse to kabhi Kuch poocha hi nahi jata.
Manik- Mom aisi baat nahi hai.
Raj-
Bahut hogaya Nyonika.
Ab bas bhi karo.
Jo mann me aaraha hai bina soche samjhe bole jarahi ho.
Tum samajhti kyu nahi .
Jo bhi ho ab Nandini hamari bahu hai.
Jitni jaldi ye baat maanlo tumhare liye acha hoga.
Nyonika didn't say anything.
Raj got up and said - Theek hai tumhare jo mann me aaye wo karo.
Nyonika went away from there in anger.
Raj turned to Manik and said- Beta tum jao jakar rest karo.
Hum kal baat karte hai.
Jab tak tumhari Mom ka gussa bhi kam hojayega.
In the meanwhile, Soha went and searched her car and found the kid missing.
Soha selfthought-
I am damn sure ye sab Nandini ne hi kia hai.
Usey pata kaise chala in sab ke baare me.
Kahin us orphanage ke caretaker ne to nahin bataya sab kuch Nandini ko?
Agar aisa hai to mai usey chodungi nahi.
Soha went to the orphanage and found out that the caretaker with his family had already left the place.
This angered Soha more.
She couldn't digest the fact that her plan was spoiled by Nandini.
Soha-
Ye tumne acha nahi kia Nandini.
You have to now bear the consequences of all this.
