CHAPTER -59
Manik and Nandini shared a cute eyelock.
But their moment was again disturbed by someone who knocked at the door.
Nandini tried to go and open the door but Manik held her hand.
Nandini - Kya kar rahe ho aap... Jaane dijiye na hume. Shayad Di hongi.
Manik nodded his head in a no.
Manik- It's Ok. Whoever it is. They can wait. Abhi to Maine tumhe theek se Dekha bhi nahi.
Nandini - Manik please leave my hand. Di kya sochegi...
Manik - Sonchne do Jo sonchna hai. I am not leaving your hand.
Saying this he pulled Nandini towards him with a jerk.
Nandini - Kya kar rahe ho aap?Jane dijiye na...
Nandini struggled to get out of Manik's grip but Manik held her more tightly and kissed Nandini's hair and said- Nandini... You are looking so hot . I just can't take my eyes off you.
There was a knock again.
Nandini was feeling good with the closeness of Manik but she had to open the door so she pushed Manik slightly and rushed to open the door.
Manik who was still lost in Nandini came out of his trance.
Manik - Nandini... This is not fair. Come back.
Nandini - No ... Catch me if you can ...
Nandini showed her tongue to Manik and opened the door .
It was Pia.
Pia - Ye kya hai Nandini... itni der lagti hai kya ready hone me. Chalo jaldi we are getting late.
Saying this Pia took Nandini with her.
Manik - Nandini wait... Listen...
But Nandini had already gone.
Manik smiled and said - So you are trying to play games with me. It's gonna be too much fun.
Saying this even he went down and joined others.
Nandini looked at Manik but he ignored her.
Nandini self thought - Kahi Manik naraaz to nahi hogaye mujhse. But Maine kya Kia???
Nandini's thoughts were broken by Aarav-Khushi.
Aarav-Khushi - Mummaaa Dekho hum ready hogaye apne aap.
Nandini - Oh wow... Aap dono toh bahut bade hogaye ho aur responsible bhi.
She said this while adjusting the stole of Khushi which she had tied around her neck too tightly and was feeling uncomfortable.
Nandini set it right and said- There you go. Now you are looking like my cute Doll.
Khushi - Thank you Mumma.
Nandini kissed her cheek.
Aarav-Mumma how am I looking?
Nandini - Aww... You are Looking handsome my baby.
Aarav - Just like Dadoo. Hai na...
Nandini - Yes. Just like Dadoo.
Aarav-Khushi kissed Nandini's cheeks and Nandini looked at Manik who was still ignoring her.
Nandini got sad seeing this.
All of them sat in the car and went to explore the place.
They first visited the Table Mountain National Park.
All of them took the Table Mountain Cableway to cross the mountains.
(The Table Mountain Cableway carries visitors from the Lower Cable Station on Kloofnek Road to the top of Table Mountain allowing visitors to avoid the fairly arduous walk up.)
Pia and Arjun sat together.
While Manik sat with the kids.
Nandini went and sat beside Manik.
She looked at Manik and smiled.
Nandini tried to start a conversation with Manik.
Nandini - Manik ye view kitna beautiful hai na... The mountains and everything... Kya aap Pehle bhi aaye ho yahan pe...
But Manik was in mood of some fun. He was teasing Nandini purposely by ignoring her.
So Manik got up and went and sat beside Arjun.
Nandini's face fell seeing this.
She thought to talk to him as soon as they get down.
And got busy with Aarav-Khushi as they were asking her a lot of questions regarding the mountains for which she didn't have answers so she just made up some stories.
Manik looked at Nandini through the corner of his eyes and smirked.
As soon as Nandini looked at him, he averted his gaze to the other side.
All of them got down and visited the Cape Point and then the light house.
Cape Point is situated within the Table Mountain National Park within a section of the park referred to as Cape of Good Hope. This section covers the whole of the southern tip of the Cape Peninsula and which takes in perhaps 20% of its total area.
Cape Point is the small cape jutting out towards the east from The Cape of Good Hope at the southern end of the Peninsula. The Lighthouse is on Cape Point, rather than on the Cape of Good Hope to the west.
Next they visited the Boulders Beach.
Boulders Beach is a sheltered beach made up of inlets between granite boulders, from which the name originated. It is located in the Cape Peninsula near Simon's Towns towards Cape point near Cape town in the Western Cape province of South Africa It is also commonly known as Boulders Bay. It is a popular tourist stop because of a colony of African penguins which settled there in 1982. Boulders Beach forms part of the Table Mountain National Park.
Arjun and Pia went in the waters along with Aarav-Khushi.
The four of them were enjoying in the waters throwing water at each other.
Nandini and Manik were just observing them from a distance.
As Arjun and Pia were busy with the kids and were not paying attention towards Manik and Nandini,
Nandini took it As an opportunity and came towards Manik.
Nandini - Aap Hume avoid kyu kar rahe ho tab se.
Manik smiled inwardly and said- Nahi toh... Mai kyu avoid karunga tumhe. Tum to khud hi busy ho. Kabhi Aarav-Khushi ke sath to kabhi Pia ke sath.
To avoid kaun kar raha hai... Mai ya tum...
Nandini - Aap naraaz ho na isi wajah se.
Manik - No.
Nandini -
Jhoot bol rahe ho aap.
Mujhe pata hai aap sach me naraz ho mujhse.
I am really sorry. Please maaf kardijiye mujhe.
Nandini was on the verge of crying.
Manik -
Nandini tum ro mat Ab.
Why are you apologising?
I am not angry. Mai to bas mazak kar raha tha.
Nandini looked at Manik on hearing this.
Nandini - Mazak????
Manik - Haan Baba mai to bas mazak kar raha tha.
Nandini faked anger and said- Acha toh apko mujhe tang karne me maza aata hai na... Jao mai aapse baat nahi karungi...
Manik held his ears and said- Sorry. Fir se Nahi karunga aisa mazak.
Nandini - Sorry se kaam nahi chalega...
Iski punishment to zaroor milegi.
Manik came close to Nandini and saidin a husky voice -
Ok. I am ready to undergo any punishment from you.
Batao kya punishment dena chahti ho tum mujhe.
Nandini blushed very hard as Manik's proximity was affecting her.
Inspite of feeling shy , Nandini held Manik's hand and took him at an isolated place away from the crowd.
Manik - Nandini tum yahan kyu layi ho mujhe.
Nandini - Shhh... Don't say anything.
Nandini kept her index finger on Manik's lips.
Manik looked at Nandini's finger and then at Nandini.
Nandini - Apni aankhen bandh kijiye...
Manik - Why?
Nandini - Sawal mat puchiye. Bas mai jaisa keh rahi hu Waise kijiye.
Manik -Okay...
Saying this He closed his eyes.
Nandini came very close to Manik and kept her hand on his chest.
She stood on her toes to match Manik's height and lightly pecked his lips .
Manik opened his eyes in shock.
He hadn't expected Nandini to make such a bold move.
Nandini then turned towards the Other side .
Manik smirked seeing the shyness of Nandini.
Manik turned Nandini towards him and said- Wowww... This is the best punishment I could wish for. Aisi sweet punishment ke liye to mai hamesha ready hoon.
Nandini with her head lowered said - I think Ab hame chalna chahiye... Sab wait kar rahe honge.
Saying this Nandini was about to go but Manik held her hand and said-
Kaha jarahi ho. Pehle punishment Puri to karti jao.
Nandini - Manik please...
Manik - Nandini... Look at me.
Nandini looked at Manik.
Manik - Tell me honestly Do you really want to go right now...
Nandini didn't say anything.
Manik - Should I take your silence as a no.
Nandini - Manik koi aajayega...
Manik - Come-on Nandini... No more excuses.
Nandini - But...
Manik - Don't try to make excuses ke koi aajayega and all. Just tell me what your heart says...
Saying this Manik came close to Nandini and held her by her waist and pulled her close to him with a jerk.
Nandini - Manik...
Manik closed the gap between their lips and didn't let her complete the sentence.
Manik started kissing her gently and slowly.
Both of them closed their eyes to feel the moment.
Nandini completely surrendered herself to Manik.
After a few minutes,Manik broke the kiss as he felt Nandini getting out of breath.
Manik joined his forehead with Nandini's forehead and said with his eyes still closed - I love you Nandini... I love you so much...
Manik opened his eyes to see Nandini.
Nandini was looking worried About something.
Manik - Nandini... What happened. You look worried. Kya hua?
Nandini - Nahi Kuch nahi. Bas I m scared.
Manik - Scared about what?
Nandini - Pata nahi...
Manik - Nandini don't worry. Everything will be fine. Mai hoon na tumhare sath.
Nandini smiled weakly and hugged Manik tightly.
Manik hugged her back and kissed her hair to assure her that everything will be Ok.
Nandini felt relaxed and relieved in Manik's arms.
(Author Note- Nandini was feeling comfortable with Manik. She was slowly shedding her inhibitions and uneasiness she used to feel in Manik's presence. After the kiss she started to feel some strong bond with Manik. This is just the beginning of their love story. There is lot more to come.)
