CHAPTER-18
At Manik's bungalow-
Manik had dinner with Raj and Nyonika and Aarav-Khushi.
Then he tucked them in bed wished them good night and came out.
He discussed the arrangements with Raj and Nyonika about the kids birthday party.
When the kids fell asleep the three of them went in silently to the kids rooms and filled the room with various gifts they had got for them and went away.
All three of them went to sleep to get up early next morning as they had to go to Murthy Mansion to celebrate Aarav-Khushi's birthday there.
Next morning the Aarav-Khushi woke up and saw with sleepy eyes their room which was filled with gift of different sizes.
Aarav-Khushi started to jump on their bed clapping their hands and shouted- Dadooo...
Manik understood that Aarav-Khushi had seen the gifts and that's why they are shouting in excitement.
He went to their room and Aarav-Khushi hopped into his arms and kissed his cheeks several times .
Manik- HAPPY BIRTHDAY my babies.
Aarav-Khushi- Thank you Dadooo...
Manik kissed their cheeks one by one and put them on bed.
In the meantime Nyonika and Raj also came and wished Aarav-Khushi.
They all were spending happy family moments when they heard a voice from downstairs.
Voice- AREY BHAI KOI HAI IS GHAR MEIN ... HAMARA SWAGAT KARNE WALA...
Manik recognised the voice and said- CABIR...
Aarav-Khushi got excited hearing Cabir's name and shouted in unison-
CABIR CHACHU...
Everyone went down and saw Cabir standing in the hall with Navya and their son.
Manik - CABIRRR...
He rushed to cabir and hugged him tightly.
Manik- Missed you so much yaar... Kaisa hai tu aur kab aaya.
Cabir smiled and said- Missed you too. Mai bilkul theek hu. Tu kaisa hai.
Manik- M fine.
Cabir observed Manik's face carefully .
Aarav-Khushi came running to Cabir and he picked them in his arms and said- Kaise ho bachcho. CHACHU ko miss kiya.
Aarav-Khushi nodded.
Cabir- Kitna miss kiya mujhe.
Aarav-Khushi spread their arms and said - Itna saara.
Cabir and Navya smiled seeing them.
Then Aarav-Khushi went and hugged Navya.
Then they went to Manav(cabir and Navya's son) and shared greetings.
All the three kids were almost of the same age and were best friends.
Aarav-Khushi took Manav to their room to show him their new toys and gifts.
Cabir and Navya took Nyonika and Raj's blessings and all of them settled in the hall.
They talked for sometime, when Manik received call from Padma .
Manik- Namaste Amma.
Padma- Namaste Beta. Aap log kab aarahe ho.
Manik- Bas thodi der me nikalne wale hai hum log.
Padma- Acha Beta. Aap log breakfast yahin pe karlena. Hum intezaar kar rahe hai.
Manik - OK Amma. Hum pahunch jayenge.
Saying this he kept the call.
Manik told Nyonika not to prepare breakfast as Padma had asked them to come over for breakfast.
All of them agreed and got ready.
They left for Murthy Mansion in 2 cars. Manik with Raj and Cabir in one car and Nyonika , Navya and kids in another car.
They reached Murthy Mansion and were greeted by Padma and Pia.
Padma- Aayiye na andar Aayiye aap log.
Aarav-Khushi- Naniii...
They ran to her and Padma bent on her knees and hugged them.
Then they went to Pia and hugged her.
Pia- Aaru Khush did you guys miss Maasi.
They called Pia as Maasi.
Aarav-Khushi- yesshhh bahut saara.
Everyone laughed seeing the kids .
The kids then looked around and didn't find Nandini . So they asked Pia- Maashhiii... Mummaaa..
Manik heard this and looked around.
Pia- Wo to kitchen mein hai. Jao jaake mil lo usey.
Aarav-Khushi rushed to the kitchen to see Nandini.
Padma asked everyone to have a seat.
Everyone sat down on the couch.
Padma- Aap log baithiye mai khana lagadu hu.
Pia- Amma aap baithiye mai dekhti hu.
Padma on seeing everyone didn't say anything .
Pia went inside to set the table.
Aarav-Khushi reached the kitchen and shouted in unison- Mummaaa...
Nandini on hearing them rushed to them and hugged them. They kissed her on her cheeks and they kissed her back.
Nandini- Happy Birthday Aaru Khush.
Aarav-Khushi- Thank you Mumma.
Manik was getting restless to see Nandini . Though he had promised himself that he would stay away from her but now that he was at her home , he needed to see her at least once.
He was constantly looking around to see if Nandini was there or not.
He couldn't ask anyone .
Finally Nandini came with the kids to the hall and said- Breakfast ready hai . Aap log Aayiye khana khalijiye.
Manik looked at her and heaved a sigh of relief.
Everyone settled at the breakfast table.
Nandini served them. When she came to Manik to serve him her hand accidentally got brushed with his hand.
Manik closed his eyes in response and took a deep breath.
Padma- Beta hum decorations to bacho ke samne nahi karsakte to bacho ko kahi bahar bhejde.
Cabir- Aunty aap bura na mano to mai lejata hu Baccho ko apne sath bahar ghumane.
Manik- That's so kind of you cabir. Baccho ka dhyan rakhna.
Cabir- Sure . I will.
After breakfast, Cabir took the three kids with him .
Then Manik started the prepations while Padma led Raj and Nyonika to guest room so that they can take rest till the prepations are done.
Phewww... Done with another update. It was a long one compared to my other updates.
