Scents from distant flowers

Only memories linger on.

How odd! Nandini and Shivam will never know certain things. About Khajan Singh and his lonely existence. About their paternal grandparents, daddu etc. who relocated to Singapore and disappeared altogether as if they were swallowed by a blackhole and not Singapore. Though Sanchi is supposed to live in Udaipur with her husband and in laws, she never could visit Anandi or Anandi has no time to visit her husband's sister. So the twins cant see even Sanchi who is so close and Khajan who is so close. And Mahi and Ashima disappeared into some blackhole

And the twins will never know that Jagya was their mother's ex. And they will never know the part played by Gauri. They will never know more about their dear badi naanisa. They will never know that mannu is not Jagya's real son. They will never know about Bhairon and Sumitra who were great support system to their mother. They will never know about Basant, Gehna and their kids.

The kids will never know about dadibua or gulli. They will never know about Anandi's friends like Asha. They will never know about Sugna, Shyam and their kids.

They will never know that their father had a look alike in Kashmir.

They will never know about anandi's teacher.

So many things they will never know.

They will growup without proper history. They know only about BH people and Jhalrawasis. They know Sarita and her daughter Pooja. They know Anant and his family.

But we know about many things. So their memories linger on like scents from distant flowers.

There is some hope. As Nandini becomes a doctor, she may one day meet other doctors in the family. Or may not. So Shivam lost his sister once more or vice versa?

Nandini's sister has reason to become negative. She maybe forced to share Nandini with her parents. Will Nandini endup sacrificing her happiness for the sake of her sister?

Will ever be those old dots connect through someone who knows all about them?

Sounds so similar to Uttaran story. Or should I say - seems inspired by that story😒

After certain level , they introduced many unwanted characters and given undue importance to those ones , because of that the main story line was deviated drastically and left the serial as mediocre one in between , that Amol story was unnecessary , no purpose served , Rasika story was not palpable , Gulli and her marriage was a wasted reel story , instead of introducing unimportant tracks , they should have deal properly the stories of Gowri , Pushapa , Mahi etc. The most unwanted and disturbing [ in a way have to say it caused  agony and trauma to many ]track was Sanchi's marriage and her inlaws' track .

If they showed those tracks why cant thy continue with them till the end? why to cut off in the middle? It is like a bunch of stories than one cohesive story. Aadha adhuri kahanis. Except Amol story, all the other stories were unnecessary and dragged. Amol story showed some beautiful moments between Shiv and Amol and between Anandi and Amol. Sanchi story and DB story became endless. And they started to show Sanchi in sasural also. Rasika story was unbelievable from the beginning. It was like watching a B grade movie. And Gowri coming back with a new face and going away.

That is why I was reminiscing those bygone days.

Giving undue importance to Sanchi story was the starting point of deviating from the main story . Till her MBA  , her character was necessary to show how Anandi started bonding with Shekhar family , how she understandably tried to adjust there too  in spite of  vices and negative forces in the form of Sanchi  , just like in BH in her initial days of marriage , it was useful to show Anandi's   grit and determination to reform each and every person of her extended family  there . The later part --started with dubious love for Jagdish , and then rape , marrying her rapist's brother , I was surprised , where they dumped all the nuances of  societal aspects in family relationships .

As many opined, Ananadi deserves a better treatment while ending this great character . They have to give an honorable end , dignified farewell . But in this factual world , if you see in to the history , some of  the great figures  who did good to the society / country met with a bloody death , in the hands of a very normal person  hired by someone or driven by  revenge , or by mindless terrorism . None of them deserve that type of end . That way we can say it was just like an end line of a poem . To understand it properly we have to re-read the entire poem again and again ---recollections !😊

Exactly. People who go really deep in their missions usually meet an untimely bloody death. History offers many examples. Their work creates enemies for them.

It is just like along distance train journey where many people meet and depart. We come to know something about them. A fictional serial with fictional characters make such deep impact on us. Everyday we wait at certain time before the television set to meet our favourite characters and become part of their fictional life. A sort of Maya. An illusionary world. Especially when a serial is earthy and somewhat relatively reflects real life, we feel so close to those characters that we forget it is only a fiction.

I wonder why Anandi's kids needed  to know about Gauri? Its not like i am Gauri's fan but she is not linked with them

Because Gauri is an important person who changed Anandi's life. If Anandi did not die, one day those things would have come out in the open.

Actually I am thinking of so many persons who were part of Anandi's life in some way disappeared and the kids were not aware of her entire journey. It is not necessary to know but I think there is no harm in knowing.
