Yes have read the books but 2 books are not yet published. So their fate is pretty much hanging in the balance.

Robb - dead

Sansa - in the Vale being manipulated by Little Finger to marry Harry the Heir (not in the show)

Arya - in Braavos & learning to be a Faceless Man

Bran - with Blood Raven in that tree

Rickon - with Osha on Skaagos amidst cannibals

Jon - dead, waiting to be resurrected

as far as the Starks go the show has caught up with the books

Cat is resurrected by another Fire Priest Thoros of Myr. Her dead body was thrown in the river by the Freys where Berric Dondarrion n his men found her. Berric sacrificed himself to get her back & now she lives only for vengeance. She cannot talk because her throat was slit by the Freys & she is terrible to look at because her body was lying in the river for 2-3 days before she was found & hence had started decomposing.

In the books she captured Brienne & Pod. She found Brienne had Oathkeeper with her & also in her unconscious state kept taking Jaime's name & hence assumed that Brienne has turned a Lannister loyalist & betrayed her. She gives Brienne a choice: bring Jaime to her so she can kill him OR she kills Pod. Brienne chooses to save Pod & goes to bring Jaime.

sometimes I think they will just show us Lyanna dying in Ned's arms & the "Promise me Ned" thing. They might not show who the child actually was though I hope they do!
