Marvellous display of emotions in this update. I loved Arnav of your story. He is simple, sensitive and don't hesitate in showing his weakness in front of his friends.
Can understand why he feel so sad about his broken relationship with anjali. After reading this chapter
we see how loving and caring anjali was before their parents death. Don't know why she believe that he is responsible for their death, but hopefully she might have realised her mistakes and now she is trying to make upto him.
But now he is too afraid of her speaking normally.
I couldn't come back to comment on Khushi's life because of some urgent work. But I was really hurt reading how Khushi suffered in her marriage. And she was in that marriage for I think 16years. I am scared what else that sick man might have done to her. Was it an arrange marriage or he himself purposed her, seeing how innocent she is and he could mould her according to his likes?
Payal is right it's miracle that  Khushi is still functioning. Because after living so many years with that phsycho, anyone would have ended up in mental hospital.
Will these two broken soul find peace in each other? Will Khushi think of being in relation with anyone after living in hell? Will she give a  chance again to her heart?
I waiting to know.
Thanks for marvellous and heart touching update.

And yet, can the heart curb the streak of anger that rises at the thought of what Anjali has done to Arnav? No. Here is a spectacularly bright boy who is smart and kindhearted - and she has managed to leave him absolutely miserable - in the clutches of heartache, doubts, anxiety and fear. Is anyone more pitiable than one who craves and fears affection at the same time?

There is something intrinsically f**ked up with these two. Anjali's point of view is messed up. They are messed up. There are some people who don't see past anything but their own grief. Yes, that's how some people are.

Its been a decade and more of slow mental anguish for him. It has risen to such a point that there is so much confusion, conflict and definitely desperation in Arnav that from "possible blame" to complete "murderer" mode.  That's why any small affection thrown at him gets that kind of response.

Wo teddy is that person who wants to control  the wife in all aspects as if she has no mind to make her own decisions. And yeah it's highly romanticised over the ages!
Payal ...I haven't formed an opinion yet.
Anjali... you have ruined not just your relationship with your brother but his spirit as well...
Waiting for more

This one however, makes me mad. I am not sure a Teddy parallel would work but the extent of emotional abuse is rather comp arable in my very unsophisticated opinion. Teddy worked to undermine Khushi's sense of self and Anjali has spent the better part of her adult life making sure Arnav destroys his. This was a boy genius - who had grown men worrying about keeping up with him. Look at what she has done - even if just by not doing what she should have - she did more.

Her anger and cruelty have hardly been masked - he has felt it after all! Her grief is not being discounted. And her anger at him for causing (will let you reveal more) their parents' death is not either. But I guess he is right. How much hatred would there have to be to replace years of muscle memory methodically one strand at a time?

And then one day, you say, stop hating, start accepting. If that doesn't drive a man to insanity, little else will

Its a different take on emotional manipulation by taking guilt as hostage and using it to direct others lives. Anjali's personal loss and grief has led to path of destruction around her. We see revenge in variety of forms. This is a way that is simply...too much for one person to handle.

The extent of Arnav's devastation is prolonged and is still in progress, unfortunately. He has managed to achieve even with the shit that has been pulled on him. In that aspect, he is really something else.

After everything that has happened, can the hate just stop and can they be what they were once before?

Can someone just stop hating?
