Deepika Thankful to Author Sudha Menon for Letting Her Read Dad Prakash Padukone's Letter to the World!

April 18, 2016 Urvi Parikh2978 reads4 comments

Deepika Padukone left everyone emotional and choked when she had read out a letter written by her father Prakash Padukone when she won the Best Actress award at the Filmfare Awards held in January 2016.

Interestingly that letter which was written by Deepika's father was published in a book, authored by Sudha Menon. Not many were aware about this initially and hence when they got to know, many speculated that the actress should have credited the book and the author for letting her read the letter.

However, a source close to the actress informs us, "When Deepika was being praised for the letter she did tell people about the letter being part of the book. In fact, Deepika even thanked the author for allowing her to read out the letter to the World."

The source adds, "Also, whether a part of the book or not, the fact remains that the letter has been written by Deepika's father."

And though many aren't aware, but author Sudha Menon had also quoted to a leading daily, just after the letter read by Deepika Padukone had gone viral, that she was touched by Deepika's gesture for reading the letter from her book Legacy.

Well, we hope now that clears the confusion!

whats the hullabaloo?
it is at the end of the deepika's father's message
to his daughters.
its her father's words.
the book author went to several fathers and told them
to write a message to their daughters in form of letters
how exactly does this becomes somebody else's
just because it was compiled in a book?
next deepika should mention the publisher, the cover color,
the font size and the number of pages the book is having
when she reads her father's message to her.

fyi, the author tweeted abt it and also talked to media
several times thanking both prakash p and deepika.

she even expressed happiness in an interview
that deepika's father's
letter which he wrote for his daughter, which was
compiled in her book was read on a big platform.

btw ppl and deepika's team had to clarify and correct the wrong info floating
because tabloid sites are headlining the letter is not by prakash padukone
its stolen from a book written by a woman. which is total bullocks.
