"I am sorry I cant Jacque is in town and I am meeting with him early tomorrow at the Maurya gym and then we meet two unicorns" he said firmly
"U cant go to Maurya from here" she scoffed
"OK I am not about to fight in your parents balcony" he hissed
"Downstairs?" "Lets go down" she suggested
"No... I stayed two weeks ago for Diwali I stayed two weeks before that during Navaratri one night" he said
"that was because I was performing at Malai Mandir and Nivi had to be nursed" II argued loudly
"Doesnt matter... I STAYED" he whispered a lil loudly
"dad said u have to go to Pune and Hyderabad next week so u are free this weekend"
"Well... he is NOT my admin" R&B responded
They both glared down from the balcony
Nivi snored cutely
"Then u hold her all the way to the temple and back" she "punished" him

"NO... U HOLD her... whole DAY... WHOLE FRICKING DAY.. she has been a pain in the ass... getting into every box, every empty basket, pushing books down, creatinga BIGG MESS" Ii vented

Amma brought coffee in a davara tumbler for R&B
"ishita bring the baby in.. its sandhya kaal, standing outside is not good while the baby is asleep"

R&B took his coffee thanked Mrs Iyer and went to II's room
"Enna solraan, iru sonnana?" (Did he let u stay?) Appa enquired
"NO" II said fuming
"WHY do u make it difficult for her every time?" Amma hissed to Appa?

II went to the bedroom, he had laid the baby down in her crib by II's divan
She looked like a goddess in her lehanga and blouse
Thick gold bangles on her fat wrist and a tiny purple bindi
II used the bathroom, washed up, hit the light
"If u want to baby sit her, I can go to the temple since its about MY alternative career" she took a pot shot
He leaned on her window, one hand in his pocket the other scrolling through the phone
"U are wearing SHORTS!!! Last time Satyamurthy Mama said u need to wear veshti" she mocked him
"Hes probably gotten over it by now" he said with mock grief "If he hasnt, he can get some therapy" he threw the shot back at her
"ISHITA" amma warned from outside
"If he has to fight why does he come?" Appa hissed
"Ur daughter is an angel I agree" Amma cackled cynically
"She needs R&R... she cant get it there" Appa lied
"I will remember to tell Ranjanji" Amma ridiculed Appa's blatant lie
