This religion has never been at peace since its inception and yet it's called a religion of peace! But if you call out the bigotry it preaches, the peacefuls become intolerant instantly instead of discussing the flaws or giving proper explanations. 

The rape threads/ intolerant threads go on for pages where the majority Indians are the targets...they come and defend themselves, agree/disagree, give all sorts of opinions but when it comes to Muslims and Islam we only get to see and read one dimensional views about their ideology. Why can't you guys open up and be tolerant of others' views on your religion regardless how bigoted it may sound? People who are objecting to this topic are the first one to come and ' comment ' if it's about Hindus/Hinduism, call them all sorts of names, make baseless accusations, mock, ridicule their practices, glorify movies like PK, give lectures on free speech/secularism/reforms and so on...

Why not extend same privileges to others' then? If islam is a religion at par or superior to others why not show/tell through your behaviour? Why always show so much insecurity if a non Muslim wants to discuss about Islam? If Muslims try, they can help nonmuslims understand Islam better/clear misconception and even dilute the hatred they may have in their heart due to the ongoing barbaric acts of ISIS in the name of Islam...

It's all about image and that is created by media. Having said, I do find a narrow gap appearing. Earlier when we were studying (in South Indian States), all educated middle class people used to send their children to good academically performing schools. Whether the morning prayer is Hindu or Christian hardly mattered. 

I attended a school with Hindu prayer. There were Muslim classmates (don't know, whether they sang). My cousins attended a missionary school and sang all songs of Jesus😆.  Religion was purely house thing, taught by our parents.

Now our Muslim friends (who read in common schools like us) are planning to send their children to one of the International school by Zakir Naik. I understand their mindset of not putting children under western influence. But their children will not mingle with the mainstream as their parents did. I do not care about statements of Zakir Naik or Owaisi or some Sadhvi. They just want to be in news. But shift in middle class mindset will be worrying thing for India in future.
