MJHT chronicled the entire span of MayUr's lovelife. Their growth was paced and proportioned across the series. Yeah, there were some tracks and character development in the couple that had me squirming, but all in all, it was a yummy serving.
No bashing please, just stating a personal opinion. I like it better when the male lead is portrayed as mature, capable, reasonable and serious- when the occasion calls for it -guy. Those guys know themselves inside out, so when they fall in love, they come to terms with it with relatively fewer troubles. It's just a psychological pattern that rings true in reality as well.
Besides, with Nupur's temperament, Mayank just had to be the one. Yes, she is brave, understanding, comforting and loving, but virtues need channeling. One needs to practice them with nuances in a way that the receiver truly benefits from them. Witness Nup's protective instincts with SaJan. It backfired so bad. Mayank helped her bring her positive qualities to tangible fruition. And she in return, helped his heart thaw.
Thus, they get my vote.
