1. Aas Paas Hai Khuda

Idea:

What would it be like if the final days of a person's life were

put into your hands? For one guy this was the case.

Meet Arun (Arjun Kapoor), a young, laid back guy who currently works at the Make A Wish Foundation in India. Arun's hopes of working there are so he can earn some money to hopefully go abroad and do finance. While working there, Arun gets a task from a girl named Maithili (Meryl). Maithili is suffering from cancer and doctors have told her that she is going to die in twenty days. Because of this, Maithili has a list of ten wishes she would want to fulfill in those twenty days. Arun reluctantly accepts the task of fulfilling Maithili's wishes, under pressure from his seniors at work. The wishes take them from simple places to across the country and along the way, Arun begins to learn of the value of life from Maithili.

2. Mr. Lawyer

Idea:

A young guy by the name of Akshat Malhotra (Ranbir Kapoor) is a lawyer by the choice of his father as he has no ambitions in life and his father himself is one of the best lawyers in the city of Delhi. Despite being certified, Akshat loses many of his first few cases due to lack of dedication and seriousness to any of his work, much to his father. Viraj Malhotra's (Rishi Kapoor) and mother, Veera Malhotra's (Neetu Singh) annoyance. Akshat falls head over heels for Shreya (Meryl), a dance teacher by profession, who dislikes him for his careless outlooks at life. A big twist hits Akshat when a case for robbery is filed against him, even though he has not committed the crime. Many twists and turns come along the way for Akshat where he slowly realizes the importance of lawyers and begins to be interested more in the profession. But does he win the case? Who will be there to support him? And how do his parents and Shriya get involved in the mess? You have to watch to find out.

3. Har Raaste

Idea:

For many people in the world, life is a journey worth exploring. You meet different people, see different places, and find new destinations that you never thought of.

That's where we meet Devendra Singh aka Dev (Ranveer Singh), a simple businessman living in Queens, New York. Dev grew up in the US. since he was born there and has never left the country before, as he always disliked the idea of being away from his home. What's the reason for this? No one knows. People who know Dev well only know that for some reason Dev is afraid of being away from home. One day, however, he gets news from his cousin living in India, Raj, that he had seen his childhood love, Rhea, in Mumbai. This takes Dev back to when he was a young kid, he and Rhea were good friends and eventually fell in love. But after college, Rhea disappeared for unknown reasons. For the past seven years, Dev has been grieving over her disappearance. The news of Rhea prompts Dev to do the one thing he's never done: leave home and go to India to find Rhea. Though hesitant, Dev goes ahead with the trip to Mumbai where he meets a girl named Nikita (Meryl), a photographer who works at Discovery in London. Nikita is introduced to Dev through Raj as a former colleague of Rhea, who knows where she lives. Dev is forced to tag along with Nikita, even though they both seem to be annoyed by their contrasting personalities. By the time they get to Rhea's house, they find out that Rhea has left the country for Paris. This is what begins a cat and mouse chase with Dev teaming up with Nikita to find Rhea across several places in the world. And through this, Dev embarks on a journey which will let him go beyond his home and understand that beyond home is a whole world worth exploring.

4. Dhamakha

Formerly titled Pyaar Dosti Aur Shararat, Can be found on another form.

Idea:

Life can bring the most unexpected twists. People have certain expectations for how they live life and what they want for the future. But sometimes...these things are not always in our control. This is what happened to three individuals...strangers that life had twisted their fates together.

Introducing Ankur Mehta (Ranveer Singh), a laid back, greedy, mischievous trouble maker who lives up to his character description. Ankur has been living in Mumbai, trying to set up his own business, but has failed many times. He now works at a bank and still dreams of making big money. For him, money is his only love.

Then, there's Janet D'Souza (Parineeti Chopra). Janet's dream in Mumbai was to become a professional dancer. After training in a famous dancing academy, she tried to make it in Bollywood, but failed. Because of this, she resorts to working at a hotel where late after work, she usually parties and drinks at various clubs. For her, all she wanted was to live life on her own terms.

And lastly, there's Muskaan Malhotra (Meryl). Muskaan came all the way from Punjab to get married in Mumbai. After many proposals, her family selected the one guy who they thought Muskaan would be perfect with. And for Muskaan, she just wanted to settle down with her to be husband for a happily married life.

One night came. Earlier in the day, Ankur came up with an idea to steal some money from the bank for his business. He planned to go late at night and steal Rs. 25 lakhs from the bank and escape from Mumbai to Delhi by train. Though he succeeded in getting the money, the guards caught him outside the bank and ran after him. While trying to escape, Ankur found a disowned car near an alley. As he got in to take off, he found Muskaan in the back of the car. Janet joined in as well. Without any time to tell them to get out, Ankur took off and the three individuals escaped from the Bandra area.

You all know what Ankur was escaping from. What about Janet and Muskaan?

Janet: After Janet was partying at a nightclub, she came out in a drunken state after having a bit too many drinks. She got in her car and began driving until she hit her car into a pole. The police came and she knew she would get arrested for a DUI. So she escaped from the car and luckily nearby was Ankur's car.

Muskaan: Muskaan was all set for the wedding. But right before going to the altar, she overheard her fiance, Rahul, talking on the phone to who appeared to be his girlfriend, telling her he was only marrying for money. Feeling betrayed, Muskaan was heartbroken but was still taken to the altar. As the wedding rituals were going on, she knew she didn't want to marry Rahul, but was scared of her family getting humiliated. With a lot of guts, Muskaan ran from the altar before the second half of the ceremony and Rahul's friends were coming after her. That's when she found the car near the alley and decided to hide inside.

Three strangers, running from their problems, were now traveling together on the road to nowhere. It's how these individuals confront themselves and their problems that forms the rest of the story where friendship, mischief, and even love can tie three lives together.

5. Ek Tha Aladdin

Based off of an idea Riya had, with my own take on it.

Idea:

"Hey!"

"Hey there."

"So have you thought about it yet?"

"About what?"

"You know? Us? When are we getting married?"

"Oh! That won't happen till you meet the family!"

"That's fine! Who's there at home anyway?"

"Oh just me and my forty brothers."

"Huh?!"

This was the conversation Aladdin had with Jasmine. And it didn't go nearly the way he thought it would. Let's rewind a bit.

Our story starts with a young man named Aladdin (Ranveer Singh), a stunt artist working at the local circus in Bombay in order to have something to keep food on the table. With the life of a middle class man, Aladdin sees joy in the circus through its craziness and creativity. His life takes a U turn when he meets Jasmine (Meryl). Its love at first sight for Aladdin, and with time, Jasmine too falls for Aladdin's charms. Its only when Aladdin pops the question of marriage that things go crazy. Jasmine belongs to a rich family associated with underworld activities known as The Chali Pra. And this group itself consists of Jasmine's forty brothers. They're dangerous, deadly, and simply intimidating as the leader of the group and Jasmine's eldest brother,Azeem (Nikitin Dheer) is extremely protective of his younger sister.

When Aladdin meets The Chali Pra, they instantly dislike him for his middle class status. In order to get rid of him, they lure Aladdin to Maha Mountain, where they push him off the cliff to die in the river. However, in the river, Aladdin gets his hands on a golden lamp. With the touch of the lamp, a genie by the name of Shiv (Shahrukh Khan) appears and saves Aladdin. Both are grateful to one another, Aladdin for his life being saved and Shiv finally being able to get out of the lamp. It is then where the two agree to help one another, with Shiv promising to help Aladdin go up against The Chali Pra and win Jasmine's hand in marriage, and Aladdin showing Shiv the beauty of the human world. Through such a journey, Aladdin and Shiv form a strong bond of friendship, where they both learn to face the world with confidence. Does Aladdin get back at The Chali Pra and win Jasmine? Does Jasmine have more to do with what's going on? And what is the mystery behind Shiv? Based on the Disney classic, Ek Tha Aladdin is a Bollywood take on the story with its own whimsical touch to it.

6. Badala

Idea:

Revenge. Some may argue it's wrong. Others don't seem to care. The thirst for revenge is something that comes naturally. It can't be controlled. Especially in the case of one young girl.

Esha was a happy, modern girl living in a highly orthodox Hindu family. Being upper class, Esha's family held strong moral value over their status. This status was taken very seriously by Esha's elder brother, Rajbeer (Tahir Raj Bhasin), who was in charge of Esha and her younger sister, Naina after their parents died in a car crash. Everything was normal until Esha met Saurabh (Rajkumar Rao), a middle class man working at a call center. Esha and Saurabh fell in love, but Esha knew her brother wouldn't like the idea of her marrying a man from another class. Because of which, Esha and Saurabh decided to run away and get married. But they never would have thought that one innocent gesture would cause something terrible to happen to them...an honor killing.

In a world where honor killing is hardly known, it happens in many countries for reasons relating to pride, loss of respect etc. And such acts are committed even if it means taking out their own blood. On the day of the wedding, Esha and Saurabh are brutally attacked by Rajbeer and his gang and thrown into the river to die. While Esha manages to survive, Saurabh unfortunately dies, prompting Esha to a dark side of her that she has never experienced. Because of these events, Esha seeks revenge against the ones who took away what was dear to her, even if it means taking out her own blood.

7. Daddy & Maddy

Idea:

When we think of father-daughter relationships, what do we think of? Ever heard of Daddy's little girl'? For one father-daughter duo, they didn't have the ideal bond.

Samrat "Sam" Singh (Shahrukh Khan) is a man in his late forties who owns a restaurant in Las Vegas known as The Golden Apple. Sam lost his wife in a car crash ten years ago. And even after that, he acts as if he's a bachelor, ready to find the next woman to come into his life. Such a personality is an annoyance to his only daughter Madhuri "Maddy" Singh (Meryl). Maddy is a hardworking girl, working at a software company. Though Sam tries his best, he and Maddy never seem to have the best relationship with each other. Because of which, Sam isn't even aware of Maddy's boyfriend, Rahul Patel (Vikrant Massey), who happens to be Maddy's colleague at work and is keen on getting married to her.

In order to help Sam and Maddy's relationship, Rahul signs them up for the Las Vegas Father-Daughter dance competition, an annual dance contest where father-daughter duos perform against one another. While Maddy is a passionate dancer, she is not too happy to dance with Sam, who can't dance to save his life. And Sam figures this competition could get him noticed by ladies. Through their conflicts and series of funny situations, Sam and Maddy learn to cope with one another and learn the importance of family relationships as they try to mend their own.
