Actor Imran Khan, whose last three films didn't perform well at the box office, was missing in action on the silver screen. After a gap of almost two years, Khan will be seen in Nikhil Advani's upcoming film 'Katti Batti' opposite Kangana Ranaut.

When asked what took him so long to do a film, he stated, "My last three films didn't work and I was suddenly not considered bankable. The day 'Gori Tere Pyaar Mein' tanked, I lost two more films. I received a call from Nikhil the very next day. He wanted me to do the film and I gave him a nod."

He adds, "But then the time when Nikhil wanted to shoot, my wife Avantika was pregnant. Hence I couldn't allot him dates. So then we decided to delay the film and it is finally releasing now."

Out of the two films which Imran lost out after the failure of GTPM, one was Vikramaditya Motwane's 'Bhavesh Joshi'. Probe Imran as to what went wrong. he reveals, "Vikramaditya Motwane and I were seeing 'Bhavesh Joshi' differently. And essentially, in terms of the genre and the style of the film, he felt a certain direction that it should go and I felt opposite. That vision we were not able to align and I didn't feel comfortable asking him to change it to what I wanted. I as an actor didn't want to do something that I didn't like and hence we parted ways!"
