Chapter 10

She felt her neck getting wet and tried to pull back but his strong hold kept her close in the same position.

"Arnav, what happened? Are you okay?" She asked in a low but very soft voice.

Gathering all the courage in him, he finally pulled back and stared deep into her hazel orbs.

"Oh god! You're crying! I.." Her hand went to his face as she tried to wipe his hot tears only to see him holding her hand, his touch like melting honey.

"Khushi, I know I'm screwed up. And I know I'm hopeless and stupid and I don't know what. Yet, even after all this you've never left my side. I.. I couldn't believe it ever that you could love me so much that you won't leave me even after all this. But now, I want to change. I want to change for you. I..I want to fall in love with you. Please give me a chance, I promise I'll try and change myself, I'll try and love you. I promise. Just don't leave me please."

She stared at him dumbfounded as her heart raced like a wild horse. Since the first time she had met him, she had had a crush on him, an instant cute crush. But as she had gotten to know him more and more she hadn't herself realised when she had fallen in love with him and now, he had for the first time ever confessed his feelings to her, he had shared his feelings with her, done something she had always dreamed of. 

He waited patiently as he saw her trying to digest what all he had just said. 

"You don't know how long I've waited to hear that." She sobbed as she hugged him tighter, dissolving him more and more in her embrace as she tried to feel his warmth.

 She woke up in the morning to see him unpacking various boxes. 

"What are you doing?" She asked curiously as she sat down next to him.

"It's a surprise." He smiled at her and her heart skipped a beat. 

He..he smiled at her. 

She waited impatiently and then her eyes widened with shock.

Inside the boxes were bills, rusted flowers, dust covered letters, a little torn pictures. 

Her eyes dropped a few tears as she looked at him.

He smiled at her and nodded a yes as she took out all the things carefully.

"You...you saved all of my gifts."

She spoke softly and he just nodded a yes before he kissed her eyes ever so softly.
