Scene 1
The episode begins with the CID team comprising of Abhijeet sir, Freddy sir, Purvi and Pankaj arriving at a building. As they move inside, we see a couple discreetly filming them from behind. Eventually the cops outsmart and capture both of them, and demand an explanation for their behaviour. The couple says they're CID trainees and have been asked to do this by DCP Chitrole.
Scene 2
We see Abhijeet sir, ACP sir, Freddy sir, Purvi and Pankaj in the bureau. The two trainees explain themselves again and Abhijeet sir wonders what Chitrole is upto this time. Purvi checks their camera and says that it only contains the video of them entering the bureau. The male trainee explains that Chitrole suspects the CID for something and before he could explain further, someone sold him a tiger tooth and he went off to investigate in the Khojguri jungle. They request to have their camera back and continue to do their task, or Chitrole will get angry and cancel their training. (Oh boy! Kya idea hai. 🥱) ACP sir grants their wish and then decides to go to the Khojguri jungle and find out what Chitrole is hiding from them.
Scene 3
Abhijeet sir, Purvi, Mayur, Pankaj and the two trainees (who keep recording everything 🤔) make a bumbling and tumbling tour de force through the jungle. There's some comic relief as everyone drinks up from Pankaj's water bottle. Eventually they arrive at a tent where they see men armed with rifles. Purvi says that the DCP might have been after these men. The cops draw their weapons for battle. Inside the tent, we see the men preparing to hunt tigers. The leader spots the CID outside and opens fire. There's a brief gunfight until he discovers that his men have fled in fear and deserted him. The cops capture him and send him to custody along with the bags they find there.
Scene 4
In the bureau, the captured poacher tries to proclaim innocence and tries to bribe the cops. He says he knows nothing about Chitrole. Freddy sir prepares to have him thrashed with sticks. Purvi di finds a handycam and box containing a tiger tooth in his trunks. The trainees say that this is the same tooth and box sent to Chitrole. The poacher says the tiger tooth was found by his friends, and the handycam he found lying in the jungle. In the camera they find footage of a group of three teens named Manav, Bikram and a girl camping and having fun in the jungle. At night, a little crying girl walks up in front of the friends before wandering off into the brush. We see a large hooded figure with a skull mask and wielding a scythe, appearing in front of the camera. The girl cries that the apparition has killed both her friends. The skull figure appears behind her and kills her with his scythe. ACP sir says they need to go to the jungle and find out what happened.
Scene 5
Abhijeet sir and the team returns to the forest hoping to find the spot where the teens had been camping. They take along the poacher to help them locate the spot where he found the camera, but he says he doesn't remember anything. Eventually they find a water bottle marked "Bikram", "PNC College". Abhijeet sir says this might've belonged to one of the camping youths, and asks Purvi to call the bureau and inform them about this. Pankaj wonders if Chitrole is in trouble.
Scene 6
Daya sir, Sachin sir, Nikhil and Shreya arrive at Panchgani and enquire at the college. The principal recognizes them as Priya, Manav and Bikram and reveals that Priya and Manav were killed when their car crashed into a ravine three weeks ago, while Bikram is mentally affected as a result. He says the bodies were never found, and everything was told to them by the local police. Daya sir says the accident was actually a murder, and asks them to call the victims' families. The principal complies and says that the three kids were good natured and never got themselves into trouble. Priya's mother Meena and Manav's elder brother Samrat arrive. Daya sir informs them about the murder and shows them the attack video they found in the handycam. The teachers are surprised to see the little girl and skull figure in the video, and it's revealed that this actually was the theme of a horror drama conducted in the college. The principal wonders how this could've happened in real in Mumbai. Daya sir orders him to summon the drama group and Bikram.
Scene 7
In the forest, Abhijeet sir and team comes across a clearing with a scarecrow and boulders. The poacher and trainees get cold feet and Abhijeet sir ask them to stay back and moves ahead with Purvi and Pankaj.
Scene 8
Daya sir and the others meet the drama group (including a sweet moment Daya sir shares with a little girl in the group), and those people including one Deepika and KK say they have nothing to do with the murders. The principal supports them and says that on the day of Priya and Manav's deaths, these kids were with him in his office. Daya sir says they'll find out the truth, and asks for Bikram.
Scene 9
In the Mumbai forest, Abhijeet sir, Purvi, Pankaj and Mayur come across a tree with three skulls with hair still intact, hanging from it. They discuss who the killer and his/her motive is.
Scene 10
Daya sir and the others meet Bikram, who merely stammers in terror. The college people explain that he's suffering from PTSD and under medication.
Scene 11
In the forensic lab, Dr. Salunkhe explains that two of the skulls belong to Manav and Priya, both of them aged about 20 years. He shows the reconstructed faces to Abhijeet sir. The third victim is an unidentified man. Abhijeet sir asks Purvi to send his pic to Daya sir for identification, as in all likeliness he was a student at the PNC college as well. Dr. Tarika says that before being murdered, the three of them had been drugged and beaten up. Salunkhe sir says Daya sir had called them with some details. (Unwanted details omitted for the purposes of this WU, keeping in mind the very sensitive nature of the critter typing it. 🤢)
Scene 12
In the college, the principal reveals to Daya sir et al that the third victim was another filmmaking student named Satya. They search his locker and find storyboards and sketches of the skull man drama inside it. The principal says that Satya and the others including the victims had been planning to make a film on this drama. He says they didn't have any money to carry it out yet. Sachin sir wonders why Deepika and KK didn't inform them about this. Both of them don't answer their phones. The principal calls the hostel and is told that both of them have left for Mumbai. Daya sir is concerned about their safety and asks Sachin sir to call the bureau and find out if any Mumbai-based financer is going to make a film on that drama.
Scene 13
In the bureau, Abhijeet sir tells ACP sir that there indeed is one such financer named Dhanraj. Freddy sir finds out that his phone has been traced to the Khojguri jungle - same as Deepika and KK's phones.
Scene 14
Abhijeet sir and team find Dhanraj in a tent in the forest. He explains that he's been asked to come there to witness the shooting of the horror film, which is visible on the monitors in his tent. We see Deepika and KK suddenly running, screaming for help. The cops rush out to help them. Deepika and KK find the little girl and are soon ambushed by the hooded skull figure. Just as he's about to slice them with his scythe, Abhijeet sir shoots him down. He unmasks the guy who turns out to be Bikram. Abhijeet sir hands him a tight slap. He says he was doing it all because he wanted to make a very realistic looking horror film, and that would be achieved if the actors were actually being killed. 👏 👏 👏 🤢 🤢 Thus he killed Priya and Manav, and Satya who tried to save them. He lured KK and Deepika there after lying to them about the financer. Abhijeet sir says he needs an extended stay in the asylum.
The team moves ahead wondering about the DCP, and finds his coat lying on the ground.
