Ananya is upset as she thinks over Kabir's scolding. She is sad that no one cares about the individual anymore as now it is all about making news and giving headlines.She adds that initially she had wanted to bring Mahi onscreen too but seeing her condition, she is unable to do so anymore. Ronnie and Richa try to console her. Kabir finds out that Mahi is in Ananya's house and he instructs his help Lakshman what to do next. Ananya is in the washroom. She is still upset and cries over all that happened and remembers how Kabir had vowed that he would do the 9 pm show no matter what.
Khalid calls to meet up with Ananya. He acts soft with her, trying to coax her to reveal something about Mahi but she tells him that the only reason she doesn't want to bring her forward was on the basis of humanity. Khalid gets angry and argues that they have never hurt anyone morally before and tells her that junior reporters only in this channel get too much freedom. Malvika also adds that her loyalty should be towards the channel and not to the individual. Ananya retorts that to her, humanity ranks more than loyalty. She promises that she would never sell Mahi like the others and leaves.
Kabir has instructed Manav to read the 9 PM breaking bulletin however the latter finishes his news reading without doing so. Malvika is angry and questions him. Manav answers instead that he had an affair with her only because he found her hot and he loved their chemistry etc and not because he was jealous of Kabir or wanted to use her to become the Editor and Chief. He asks her to move on and leaves. Everyone hears this and is stunned. Manav comes to Ananya and tells her that what she did was right but adds that she shouldn't expect anyone else's support.
Kabir instructs Richa to come for a live telecast and gives them an address. Ananya reaches home. She asks her mom if only business is everything to which she replies that her dad when accused wrongly then,used to ask just the same. Kabir reads the 9 pm bulletin and he begins with the topic of the connection between drugs and celebs. He tells how few minutes back a hotel party was raided and drugs were found in use by few well known celebs. Richa on location, speaks to the inspector and he confirms the same. Kabir thanks her and tells the viewers how easy it is off late for circulation of drugs and asks them to think about it and ends the news. Everyone is impressed.Ananya is stunned.
Kabir ends by saying that a reporter's job is just like a soldier on a battlefield. His relation was only with his duty, neither with himself nor with anyone else and it is only because of a reporter that a person woke up the next day with renewed hope.
