Chapter 10
Sanyukta turned around to look at the person. A bright smile appeared on her face seeing the person.
"Omg, Dhruv", she said smiling and went towards him.
Both them hugged each other.
"Kaise ho?", Sanyukta asked excited.
"Acha hu. Tum kaisi ho?", Dhruv asked smiling.
"I am fine. But first tell me tum yaha kab aur kaise? Aur mujhe bataya kyu nahi?", sanyukta said smiling.
"Batata hu pehle mujhe Vardhan sir aur Niharika mausi se milna hai", Dhruv said smiling.
"Bass tum aur tumhari mausi. Abhi baba toh busy hain, Aai se mil lo tabtak", sanyukta said and both moved towards Niharika's cabin.
"Aai dekho kaun aaya hain?", sanyukta said entering the cabin.
Niharika, who was busy reading a file, looked up at Dhruv.
"Dhruv", she said excitedly and went to him. Both shared a hug.
"Kaise ho?", Niharika asked caressing his hairs.
"I am fine mausi. Aap kaise ho?", Dhruv asked smilingly.
"Bilkul theekh", Niharika said happily.
"Yeh pagal ladki apka dhyan toh rakhti hain na?", Dhruv asked looking at sanyukta.
Sanyukta narrowed her eyes and gave him a what the hell are you asking' look.
"Tum aate hi meri beti ko tang karna shuru kar diya", Niharika asked smiling.
"Aai chodo na iska toh kaam hi yahi hai", sanyukta said faking anger. "ab yeh batao meri princess ko laye ho ya nahi?"
Dhruv acted as if he is thinking. Sanyukta gave him an angry look.
"Haan baba laaya. Iss bar toh woh khud tumse milne ke liye itni excited thi ki mere sath office aa gyi", Dhruv said smiling.
Dhruv, 30 year old, a doctor by profession, lived in Singapore. His mother died when his was 12. After that Niharika took care of him as a mother. She was his mausi. Dhruv always shared his feelings with her. He was very close to him.
"Office? Duffer kaha chod diya usse phir? Where is she?", sanyukta asked sternly.
"Bhar waiting room mein hain", Dhruv said.
"Esse koi 6 saal ki bachi ko akela chodti hain bhar. Tumhe toh bhagwan ne akal hi nahi bheji", sanyukta said and left the cabin to meet her princess.
Dhruv and Niharika too followed her. On their way Niharika told the receptionist to inform vardhan to meet her in waiting room.
"Princess", sanyukta chirped cheerfully entering the waiting room.
The girl turned around and looked at her smiling.
"Sanyu", the girl too chirped cheerfully and came running towards her.
Both shared a hug. Sanyukta took her into her arms and stood up.
"kaisa hain mera sonna bacha?", sanyukta asked pulling her cheeks.
"I am fine. What about you?", the girl asked innocently.
"I am very happy seeing you", sanyukta said smiling.
"Lair. If you would be happy then you would have to come to receive us at airport", the girl said and turned her face.
Meanwhile Dhruv and Niharika entered the room. Sanyukta looked at Dhruv angrily. Her princess was angry because of him.
"It's all because of him. He never told me that you are coming to meet me", sanyukta said pointing towards Dhruv.
"I knew it would be him. He always does like that", the girl agreed.
"Nona but you were on my side?", Dhruv said playing along.
"Never. I was always on Sanyu's side", the girl said and hi fived with sanyukta.
"Koi kisi ki bhi side ho main toh nona ki hi side dung", all heard someone saying entering the room.
Nona looked at the person and chirped, "Dadu."
There was vardhan who walked towards sanyukta and nona. He took nona into his arms and kissed her soft cheeks.
"How my bacha?", vardhan asked sweetly.
"Sad", nona said faking anger.
"Aap mein se koi bhi mujhse milne nahi aata. Bass promise karte ho but you never fulfil it", she said with full drama.
Nona, a girl of 6, daughter of Dhruv. Her mother died 5 years ago in a car accident. From the Dhruv takes care of her. She lives with him in Singapore. Always comes to meet sanyukta during her summer vacations. She is a Xerox of sanyukta. She likes machines, smell of grease and the most important, she cares for everyone around her. She too, like sanyukta, is the topper of class. She is indeed attach too sanyukta a lot. She is like a mother to her. And the most special thing about her is, she is a drama queen. She knows very well to how to let her work done.
"Hogya shuru tera drama. Aab dadi se bhi mile", Niharika said smiling.
"Main kyu milu apse. Aap toh papa ki side ho. Meri aur Sanyu ki side par aa jao toh mil lungi apse", she was trying to bribe her.
"Oh toh essi baat hain. Then leave it. maine jo chocolate pudding banayi hain who main sirf tumhare papa ko khila dungi", she said controlling her smile. Niharika very well knew the weakness of nona. She loves chocolate pudding especially made by her. She did the same nona was trying to do, bribing.
"Nooo. Sanyu toh hamesha galat baat bolti hu. I know you are right. I am coming", she said and came out of Vardhan's grip and went to Niharika.
"You cheater. Don't come to me know", sanyukta said faking anger.
Nona just struck her tongue out and went to Niharika. She said, "Come on dadi. Chalo abhi. I cannot wait for the pudding now."
Everyone smiled seeing her antics.
"Chalo phir. Main aur dadi toh ghar ja rahe hain. If you want than you can come. I don't mind sharing it with you all," she said with attitude.
"You all carry mujhe todha kaam hain, I will join you later", sanyukta said.
"Okay then main bhi yahi ruk jata hoon tere sath", Dhruv said.
"But tum takh gaye hoge na. you go and take rest. Hum sham ko baat karenge", sanyukta said.
"Please don't say anything. Main teri baat nahi sune wala", Dhruv protested.
"Okay fine", sanyukta said defeated as she knew there was no use of fighting.
Vardhika along with nona went to their home and sanyukta and Dhruv went to Sanyu's cabin. Dhruv settled him on the couch and sanyukta sat beside him.
"Aur batao, sab theekh hain Singapore mein", sanyukta asked.
"Tum batao tumhe kya hua hain ?", Dhruv said out of blue.
"Mujhe. Mujhe toh kuch nahi hua", sanyukta said avoiding his gaze.
"Jhoot bol rahi ho aur who bhi mujhse. Oh common sanyukta main tumhe 8 saal se janta hu. Ab aur sunogi ya bataogi", Dhruv said keeping his hand on sanyukta's.
"Actually jo competition hain next week uske liye baba ne unke purana wale ki location final kari hain aur...", sanyukta didn't complete her sentence.
"Aur tum waha nahi jana chahti", Dhruv completed her sentence.
"Hmm", sanyukta nodded.
"No problem Sanyu. Main hu naa aur waise bhi iss baar nona bhi participate karegi competition aur main bhi tumhari help karne ke liye waha hu. Toh chill", Dhruv said smiling.
Sanyukta smiled. She knew that nona and Dhruv will keep her engrossed and then she will feel alright.
