Altunia was unable to recognize himself ever since he left her at the grand doors of the palace, he had almost forgotten to smile, something was wrong and he didn't know what, he kept searching for answers within himself but all he could think of was her, he sat still staring at the glass of tea thinking what exactly was the cause of his distress when he heard some men talking.
"suna he saari sultanate me mithai bat rahi he" said one
"haan Sultan ko nayi dulhan jo mil rahi hai" replied another.
Altunia got curious and joined the men in their conversation.
"ama hamen bhi to btao kya ho rha he" he said curiously.
"kuch nahi miyan ye to roz ka he, hamare Sultan Yaldoz phir se nikaah kr rhe hen wo bhi Delhi ki shehzaadi Razia se" a guy replied
Altunia's heart sank, so this was the cause of his disturbed state, his princess, the love of his life was going away from him, but how?
"Kya? Sultan Iltutmish ko hua kya hai? wo shehzadi k saath esa kese kr skte hen?" he asked in anger
" are miyan Sultan Iltutmish ko to khabar hi abhi hui hogi suna he Shehzadi akeli aayi hen kisi madat k liye aur Sultan ne unki majboori ka faida utha liya he, akeli pareshan bechari shehzadi ko ghutne tekne pade honge" another guy replied.
Altunia fumed, "koi hamari shehzadi k saath esa nhi kr skta" he thought and clenched his fist, he moved away.
"pehle mohtarma aur ab ye shehzadi, is yaldoz k paas konsi jadoo ki chadi he jo sbki museebaton ka hal dhund niqale ga, dikha di na apni auqat is budhe ne" he punched a wall, "nahi hamen shehzadi ko wahan se niqalna hi hoga, hamari shehzadi sirf hamari hai aur kisi ki nahi, khas tor pe us budhe ki to har giz nahi"
He sat down and thought of a plan to enter the palace without being noticed.
Razia was in a room lying on the bed with tears in her eyes, she was dressed like a princess now but she was not feeling like herself. She looked at her necklace and sobbed.
"kyun aise khwab dikhaye hamen Maula jo pure hi na hone the, kyun aisi roshni dikhai, jiska waqt mukhtasar tha, aur aage sirf kaali ghani raat thi, kyun milaya humen us se jab hamari qismat yahan thi, ab use dil me chupa bhi nhi skte aur bta bhi nhi skte"
Just then there was a shadow and she got scared, she took out her knife and was ready to attack but she was pulled and pinned to the wall, with her hand with the knife held behind her and another hand was kept at her mouth, and in the dim light she could only see a pair of beautiful emerald eyes staring at her, a spark traveled down her spine and she finaly found her lost breaths again and started panting.
"aap fiqr na kren shehzadi, hum aapko yahan se door le jayenge" he said confidently
Razia was shocked, why was he calling her shehzadi.
"hum kal raat ko ayenge aur aapko le jayenge, aap tayar rahiyega" he said
she blinked, he let her go and was leaving, but he stopped and said, "agar aapko ek nakchadi mohtarma milen to unhe kahiyega aapke saath rahen, bht bahadur hen wo, aapko mehfoos rakhengi jab tk hum na ayen"
and then he left, Razia couldn't believe her ears, he didn't know she was the one whom he accompanied, and she was the princess he had been talking about all along, but how couldn't he, she was confused and shocked and furious, how could he still be in love with the princess, even if she was the princess, she was so mad at him that she forgot Yaldoz and his disgusting ways.
The next night Altunia arrived as promised and grabbed her wrist, she had her veil on.
"chaliye" he said smiling
"lekin hum, hamare abu aur bhai jaan ki jung?" she replied
"agar aap lapata hongi to wo aapko dhundenge ya jung krenge, wahan pohonch kr aap unhe keh dijiyega jung roko wrna hum Yaldoz se nikah krlenge, agr aapke abu aur bhai me zari bhi sharm baqi hogi to wo jung nhi krenge ab chaliye" he said quickly, before she culd say anything he pulled her and threw a long cloak on her.
"chup chaap chaliye hamare saath shehzadi, wrna badi diqat hojayegi" he said and started walking, she walked with him
"acha aapne kisi nak chidi mohtarma ko mehel me aate dekha kya, humen pta he unhe bhi mehel me aane ki ijazat nhi mili hogi, najane kahan gai, ab hum do do ko kese bachaye, khair unhe taleem to de hi di he khud hi sambhal lengi, filhal hamari zimedaari aapki taraf ziada he" he whispered
Razia was fuming, she was so angry that he was unable to recognize her, he somehow managed to get her out of the palace and got her on his horse, he got on the horse too and moved away from the palace as quick as he could.
"dekha na aapne, kese hum aapko bahar le aye aur kisi ko kaano kaan khabar tak na hui, abhi wo hti to pta chalta unhe, kahir chodiye, aap theek to hen na" he said.
She nodded, "hum bhi tab tak nhi btayenge jab tk khud nhi pehchaan jate" she said to herself
Altunia; kuch kaha aapne
Altunia; aap akele kese aayeen yahan tak?
Razia; wo hum, humare saath pura kafila tha
Altunia; acha? lagta he aapka kaafila humare baad ghazni pohncha hoga
She was rubbing her hands, he took her hand into his
Altunia; kya hua shehzadi? aap theek to hen?
Razia; jee bilkul theek hen hum
Altunia; is tarah ghode pe aapko diqat ho rhi hogi, hamen maaf krdijiye hum kuch intizam nhi kr paaye aap k aram k liye
Razia; koi baat nahi hai, aap ne hamen wahan se niqala yehi bht he
Altunia; aapko wahan se hum na niqalte? esa kese hota?
Razia was again jealous of her ownself, how could he forget his mohtarma.
Altunia felt strange while holding her hand.
Altunia; ajeeb baat he, esa lagta he aapka haath humne pehle bhi kabhi chua he
Razia; ghor farmaiye thoda janab, shayad ye sach ho
Altunia wondered what she meant
