^^^Haha loll...well DrM was sleeping; and I went out for lunch; back now.

and yes please-- read an article that was talking about patent protection and I was a bit annoyed at the company. Will send you a link to the article.

I want those shoes!!!seriously I NEED to be put on a shopping ban!!!

i am really annoyed at KW; if its true. thought she was more professional than that. Do not like it when actors influence story telling.

I think I like Scandal too much to be over it; I am a bit addicted to the paroxysmal AF inducing storylines😆

BB- Read the patent one, hmm I know the two companies mentioned. I get your point, we had this massive debate about generic meds in India too.I think the nexus is more economics in nature which is why it will never come through for NHS.

Never say never to shoes.

DrS- SSIA;'s gujju message be cute.
Now you know travelling for work can be big pain too.

Well one of the companies's sister firms makes a NOAC and considering how that particular drug shows superiority over the gold standard as opposed to the other 2 NOACs which are non inferior and their drug is favored by the stroke physicians; they have loads of money to make with that. Also bleeding risk with their one is monitored over a longer period of time compared to the others.
A certain statin had patents for ages. Well there is loads of money that goes from the cancer drug fund into these companies.
As for NHS, well there are deals where contract prices are used but nevertheless if we are to keep the enterprise that is the NHS running as it was intended to, somewhere there has to be price and patent regulation.

DrS is hating on her trip and she has become very irritable ; at least she has her buddies with her.

I hate SSIA; then he asks why I adore OW beyond...

See for special cases or where there is genuine need for a superior drug , nobody would mind the extra money spend , but the disparities for generic situations is where NHS should bring some sort of price-patent regulation. But this is such a political , legal tangle mess.

But problem is by selling over priced meds which maybe as effective as generic meds , these companies create a buffer. Physicians, policy makers find it difficult to break this economics model because it needs to be replaced by something as effective or cash flow drain out.

SSIA should know that I am hating OW, he needs to give up on converting you to our side. You are team OW through and through.😆

Well the NHS will be more than happy to bring price-patent regulations. However, as you said the companies drag the hospital trusts through lots of legal mess so it is somewhere better to pay for the patent drugs and focus time on improving patient care and saving money elsewhere.
My issue is with the barriers then;  there are lots of other drugs that are more expensive where companies can make their cash. Especially with cancer drugs which even have a separate dedicated money pot from the DoH.

There has to be a solution reached somewhere;

Just wait for Boehringer to release its monoclonal antibody that is meant to be an antidote to its NOAC. The sale of the particular NOAC for particular patient groups and its recommendations by haematologists will rise. Pradaxa is a direct thrombin inhibitor whereas the other 2 NOACs are factor Xa inhibitors. therefore the antidote may not necessarily be used for the other NOACs. Check the clotting cascade if you please. That is just an example. Therefore Boehringer will make enough money there.

My example above was to state that there are enough areas where money can be made; so why go through all the effort to get 2nd indications patented. That is just being greedy.
+++++++++++++++

SSIA is stupid. I hate him. He is jealous because he has always been the most popular. Now he is all OW be stealing his popularity. Funniest thing is I love how OW is so anjaan to all this.
LOL Genie, I am team you; just OW be so heartwarming. And unlike SSIA he makes me smile always; doesn't call me temperamental.

BB- See we see those loopholes and opportunities but like you yourself mentioned greed and that can be tangibly covered up by various other examples. Remember the Euthanasia one you mailed me, the whole thing is being supported by so many doctors too.
Pharma companies make money they will never give up and take to generic meds. It's for state to decide but NHS already has so many financial woes that I doubt we can ever hope for a settlement .

Haha aww, I am feeling bad for SSIA , i can so relate to his veggie troubles. That place sucks though. They need to go back to DrS's new ghar.

Nah, BB , you be OW's fav girl. He will keep you in his team and I don't mind that. Because I am anyway going to win the war.

There is a book I need to send you; you may have already read it but we should discuss.

NHS woes will be there but we have to give it to all the NHS workers that their primary concern be patient care and that has never intentionally been compromised.

However, there is so much more to be done. There is so much to read about how NHS is moving towards patient focus. White papers and reports.

As for Euthanasia; I think there will have to be set doctors who even walk that route; there will have to be stringent guidance from the DoH and laws from the councils governing health care professionals. It will have to be done by specialists in palliative care. I mean imagine screening/signing a script that is for a lethal dose? None of the ones with lesser experience will be able to do that. It will be an extremely difficult burden to carry.

Also spiritually, who is responsible for giving and taking life?

And there is always the question of human rights.
+++++++++++++

OW is my most favorite too; he be bestest and he and I have totally different thing that I do not have with surgeon boys or SSIA or AS or V or MH.

NHS as a system is amazing but the financial burden is more due to legal, administrative and some outdated policies, will talk more aobut it later. But to sustain it for future , they really need to cut down on expenditures.

Euthanasia debate goes for ages, BB, because they are so many angles, no wonder OW sat this on out.

OW is lucky , he got you in his corner but he won't survive my attack.
