Manan Os : the key to him
It wasn't just another day in his life , it was the day in his life .
He brushed his hair to perfection standing in front of the mirror .
Had anyone seen him smile and blush like this all by himself in the huge empty aloof house he stayed in , they would think he had gone crazy.
Well , not that he would mind , he was crazy , just for her !
For her scent which still lingered around him all the while ,
For the touch of her fingers etched on his bones,
For her eyes which sparkled like the milky way , making him lose himself into them all the time.
He , then grabbed a shirt from his closet , totally unmindful of the colour , still lost and when he suddenly felt a coldness surround his neck .
He felt the same heaviness around his neck that day
Although that day the neck piece i.e. the chain around his neck had become lighter.
. He had promised to wait.
Wait for 6 months
Not that, these months he hadn't talked to her
He had , he had talked , he had fought , he had seen her sleeping every night ,
he had blown thousands of kisses to her while her cheeks blushed a crimson red
.But the feel of her in his arms was missing.
Those moments when he came home tired , when she came to her home tired
All they could exchange was a video chat , and not each other.
Its in those moments ,that they realized what the distance meant !
It meant the heaviness that you experience for a moment when the only person you want to be with,
can't be there with you at the moment.
The only person who you want to hug , will have pass that warmth only through a call.
Smiling to himself again, he grabbed the keys and head to the airport .

She stood in the waiting area , managing the luggage and her phone in another hand
When suddenly she felt a tug on her shoulder
. It was him .

She remembered how that day was,
Just a contrast to this one.
He had to be the most supportive boyfriend one would ever find .
After convincing her for a month on how the course for which she got a scholarship would make her career,
Totally irrespective of the fact that his own heart knew , even a second without her would be difficult !
He sent her off.
He knew he couldn't see her going
Even if it was for a few months ,
it stabbed him deep to be not be able to kiss her , hug her , cuddle her every day
For that wasn't any intimacy to him ,
they were the feel of the reassurance of the light that she had brought back into his life !
He had that day , slowly closed her eyes , exactly on this airport
his hands caressed her face ever soo beautifully
like memorizing every bit of her
then he slowly placed his lips on her eye lids , one after the other
he seeked strength , to love her even when she wouldn't be around
then he slowly removed a piece from his chain and kept it her hand
and whispered slowly while her hand was just above where his heart was beneath
" its yours , until you' re back with it , my heart is padlocked "
Saying that he sent her off .
Nandini's eyes had vapors of moisture clouding them for the amount of loyalty that he had for her .
The emotion for her was indescribable

She smiled and wound her hands around the the person who tugged her
She dint need to see his face to recognize him , did she ?
He smiled seeing her in front of his eyes.
They both smiled the widest.
The sudden emptiness of 6 months had vanished in a millisecond.
Without wasting a moment more,
She connected her lips to his.
Pouring into him all the promises that she fulfilled and all the making up sessions pending on her.
While their mouths were sill connected.
She slowly took out a piece from her jacket
And slowly slid it into his chain
She slid the key to his heart in again
.The key.
The key to his heart was back again to where it belonged , dangling just near his heart after being with her for the past 6 months
While the universe moved , these two still stood there like jigsaw puzzle put together perfectly.
For , only Nandini could unlock his heart
Only she could unlock his beautiful padlocked soul , with her key , with herself
Indeed she was the key to his lock .
