Its unfair to call Piku a women-centric movie. The movie had 2 main protagonists- a Father & a daughter.

One may call it an off-beat movie, but women-centric it isn't.

I think at the end Piku is what Bhaskor thinks about a women should be
Independent - emotionally, financially and sexually

Now next stop is Badlapur

Deepika Padukone's Piku has beaten the lifetime business of Ranbir Kapoor starrer Roy, thus taking the 4th position at Koimoi's Top 10 Highest Grossing Films of 2015 list. Roy had made a total lifetime collections of 44.50 crores nett, but with Piku doing around 48.90 crores after 2nd Saturday, it now surpasses the collections made by Roy.

The movie made around 4.50 crores yesterday, and will surely pick up today, considering it's a Sunday. Piku's 2nd Weekend collections should stand in the range of 12 crores, which is excellent.
