Part 7
Jaggi and Billa go to the gaudam where Nihaal was killed. They search up, down and all around but find nothing useful. Tired, they sit down to on the floor to relax a bit and Billa's eyes fall on shiny thing in between the hay stacks. He reaches over to pick it up and finds a button.
"O Jaggi! Ae wekh.."
Jaggi comes over and sees the button and says "O ae kiska hai? Paaji ka to nahi lagta.. unke paas to ek do jacketein hi hai aur unke button aise to nahi.."
"Chal ise wapas le kar chalte hain.. ab to paaji hi bata sakte hai ke ye kiska hai."
They go back to the tapri and see Baldev putting glass on the bench and turning around to leave.
"Baldev paaji Baldev paaji!" they say running over.
Baldev turns around to look at them as soon as he hears them and stops.
They run over panting and Billa says "O Paaji.. Hame na.. Ae mila hai" he puts the button in Baldev's hands and asks, "Ae ki.. aapka hai?"
Baldev takes the button and turns it around in his hand slowly "Nahi.. Ae mera to nai hai... Iska matlab.. Us din wahan koi aur bhi tha.." He is still turning the button in his hand and feels something bumpy on it. He looks closely and sees that there is something engraved on it. "Oye iske upar to kuch likha hua hai!.." He tries to read it "R...RT... Bas. Aur kuch nahi."
Jaggi tries to figure it out "O matlab, ye jiska ka bhi hai uska naam R se shuru hota ho ga"
"Aur shaid surname T se.." Billa adds in.
Jaggi continues. "Ab iss pind me kaun hai jiska naam R aur T se shuru hota hai?.. Bas yahi to pata lagana baki reh gaya hai Paaji.."
Baldev gets irritated at their cluelessness "Oye khoton! Isme zyada damaag lagane ki kya zaroorat hai!" He takes a deep breath and then continues in a calm voice. "Dekho, is waqt is pind me sirf ek hi insaan hai jiska naam R aur T se shuru hota hai.. Aur wo insaan hai... Inspector Rajveer Thakur" Baldev looks around nervously and says "Ye jaga theek nai hai.. Ae sab baate karne ke liye.. Chali polyhouse ke aafis (office) chalte hain" Baldev, Jaggi and Billa go to the office to talk.

Baldev walks in and scans the room to make sure no one else is there. Then the three of them sit around a table and Baldev says "Hame Rajveer pe shaq to hai ke usne Nihal Chachu ka khoon kia hai.. Par ye saabit kis tara karen??" They all start thinking of ideas to make Rajveer spill the beans. After 5 minutes..
"O kuch socha?"
"Nahi Paaji kuch samajh nai aa ra"
"Haan Paaji menu bhi nai"

Rajveer is in his "Veera room" and is standing leaning on a chair with his hands on the chair's back. "Ughhh ye me kya sun raha hoon Veera!? Tum chali gayi?? Par tum aisa kaise kar sakti ho?? Tum mujhe chod ke kese ja sakti ho??" Now scared and determined.. "Ab mujhe bhi yahan se jaana chahiye. Tumhe dhoondna chahiye. Akhir ek police officer hone ka farz bhi to nibhana pare ga..." He smiles wickedly. "Par pehle tumhare 'Veerji' se to pooch loon tum kahan ho? Use to zaroor pata ho ga. Use nahi to... Baldev ko to lazam pata ho ga.."
Rajveer calls Ranvi but his phone is unreachable so he gets angry. "Uffo! Ek to ye Ranvi ne dimag kharab kar ke rakh dia hai! Jab zaroorat ho tab kabhi nai milta!" He smiles his evil smile "Koi baat nahi... Ab Baldev ko dhoondna parega." He leaves his house in search of Baldev.
Rajveer drives in his jeep and passes the chai ki tapri because he knows that that's where Baldev usually hangs out but he of course doesn't find him there. "Ab ye kidhar chala gaya!!" He thinks for a while then says "Haan! Wo zaroor polyhouse ke office me gaya ho ga!"
And so Rajveer drives over to the office. He sees Baldev, Jaggi, and Billa sitting in deep thought and senses something mysterious. Still he barges in and says "BALDEV!" in his loud yet calm voice. Baldev instantly stands up worried that Rajveer has come to arrest him for something he hasn't done once again.
But Rajveer runs over to him and holds him by his collar and now angrily says "Batao mujhe Veera kidhar hai!! Are batao!"
Baldev pushes Rajveer off of him and says "Acha hua ke tu yahan aa gaya.. (with emphasis) Inspector Rajveer.. Hamen tere sare sach pata chal gaye hain"
Suddenly Rajveer becomes cautious and all his anger turns into fear "K-kya pata chal gaya hai?"
Baldev notices his reaction and continues.. "Wahi.. Jo tu chupana cha raha tha.." He walks towards Rajveer and says "Yahi ke tune hi Nihaal Chachu ka qatl kia hai"
Rajveer tries to act cool but in a way admits it by saying "Kese saabit karoge tum Baldev ke mene hi Nihal Singh ko maara hai.. Koi saboot hai tumhare paas??"
"Saboot to hai par ab ye tu faisla kar ke kya tu abhi apna jurm kabool kare ga ya adaalat me?"
Rajveer tries to toughen up and says "Kya tumhe pata hai ke ek inspector pe ilzaam lagane ki kya saza hoti hai..?"
Baldev smirks and says "Agar saboot ho to inspector ko bhi saza ho sakti hai.."
Rajveer realizes that Baldev is so confident he must know the truth so he pounces on Baldev and grabs his collar and Jaggi and Billa try to pull him off. Rajveer elbows them and pushed them off and pulls out his revolver and points it towards Jaggi and Billa, "Ye to tum jaan hi gaye ho ke mene khoon kia hai to ye bhi samajh sakte ho ge ke me ek aur khoon karne se nahi katraonga!"
Ranvi who had been passing by had heard the whole conversation. He goes to the door, picks up a stone that was lying on the ground and throws it at Rajveer's hand to knock out the revolver out of his hand, the revolver flies out of Rajveer's hand and the four guys turn around to look at the door.
Rajveer is shocked to see Ranvi there and thinks *Kahin isne meri baat to nahi sun li...* The next instant a police officer walks in
P: Mujhe khabar mili hai ke yahan koi maar peet ho rahi hai
Ran: Jee inspector, mene hi aapko bulaya hai..
Rajveer hopes that Ranvi heard nothing and acts like a police officer and says
Raj: Koi baat nahi Ranvi.. mene sab sambhal liya hai.. pata nahi aaj kal BAldev ke sab se pange hote rehte hain.. apne doston tak ko nahi choda isne
Baldev gets angry
B: Oye mene kuch nahi kia!!
baggi: Haan Paaji ne kuch nahi kia
Raj: Ranvi tum inki baat mat-
Ran: BAS!! (he grabs his collar) Rajveer kitna jhoot bole ga tu!? Mene sab sun lia hai!!
He pushes Rajveer towards the other police officer and says to the officer..
Ran: Ise le jayiye inspector! Yehi hai mere Nihaal Cahchu ka qatil!!
The police takes Rajveer away and Ranvi is left in the room with Baldev and baggi.
Ran: Baldev wo-
But Baldev walks out of the office without sparing him another look. baggi leave with him. Ranvi feels guilty for not believing Baldev and thinks he has to apologize.

2 weeks later..
Veera had gotten a job in a nearby office thanks to Amrit's references. She was going to leave the office but before she left she read the news online since it was a part of her routine.
V: Hai o rabba e ki ho gaya! Rickshaw ka strike chal ra hai!? Ab me ghar kese jaongi..
She calls Amrit to ask for a ride but Amrit doesn't pick up since she's in a meeting at her office. Veera decides to walk home. After walking for hour..
V: Ae ki? abhi to mene sirf adha rasta teh kia hai! menu nahi pata tha ghar itna door hai.. by god subhe jate waqt to boht kum same lagta hai.. aur bhook bhi lagi hai hai o rabba..
She walks a bit more and sees a roadside dhaba and decides to stop, eat, and then go. Veera doesn't realize how much time passes while she eats, she gets up to leave..
V: Hai ab ae ki ho gaya.. Inna time lagati hoon me khana khane me!? Ab to sooraj bhi doobne wala hai.. Jaldi chal Veera jaldi chal!
She starts walking and soon the sun is about to set as well, she sees another road that is somewhat deserted with large trees on either side and thinks..
*Ye to shortcut hai na, yaha se jaati hoon, jaldi puhonch jaongi*
And she goes down the shortcut road, soon night falls and it starts getting really cold. Veera is shivering and walking as fast as she could. Suddenly she hears loud noises from behind her and turns to see a jeep full of drunk guys riding by, she turns back around and starts walking quickly to avoid them. The guys noticed her walking, sped up their jeep and stop it infront of her and block her way. Veera suddenly feels really scared, she tries walking around the jeep but the two guys jump down and block her way, Veera tries to go around them again when more guys block her way..
Guy: Oye hoyee bari jaldi hai jaane ki.. humare saath hi thoda waqt bita lo..
He starts walking closer to her, Veera walks backward and bumps into another guy, he tries touching her but she moves away
V: Chodo mujhe! HELP!! HELP!! Bachao menu!! HELP!!
A guy puts his hand over her mouth to shut her up but she bites his hand, he jumps back in pain which opens up a way for her to escape and Veera runs as fast as she can. She hears the jeep engine start and soon the jeep is parked infront of her again. The guys jump down and start towards her again she walks backwards and away from them but soon she's trapped against a tree and the guys keep walking closer. Tears start rolling down her face as she says between sobs..
V: Jaane do mujhe! Please.. jaane do.. HELP!! Bachao!! BALDEV!! Koi hai!!
Guy: ek to tu chup nahi karti
He's about to touch her when a strong pair of hands pushes him away..
