May I ask you - as you have written this down, have you not looked down upon villagers yourself?
Just saying...

He who is without sin... and all that...

huh?
i dnt wanna argue here. its not like only villagers can be gawar.. anyone can be gawar.. it depends from person to person
my life doesnt revolve around fitin and defendin celebrities who are bein paid for this show. i jus wrote my opinion. if u cant get it please ignore it. i wud request u the same, dnt get emotional abt the people or show.. jus enjoy the show and discussions here

Fortunately, I know my Hindi. The word "gawaar" - means "gaon waala". Literally. Here:

So, no -  "anyone can be gawar.. it depends from person to person" is an incoherent assertion. Tongue Dead

If you read my post carefully, you will see that I haven't invited any discussion. I was only just pointing out the irony of - mocking somebody for looking down upon villagers, but having no qualms calling that person a ganwaar. English mein gaali -gaali hai, Hindi mein nahin? DeadDeadDead

dekhiye bhai sahab/behenji -
It was no trouble for me to fish out the link. Also, just so you know, my question was rhetorical in nature.

@Discussion: Certainly - country people can be well-mannered, and urban folk can behave shamefully. I agree with you.
But let me again point out --  you called Karishma Tanna a "ganwaar" - which literally means "country person", a "village girl". I don't see any context here... I don't see the need to invoke any context here.
