20 Bollywood Moments Of 2014 That Made Our Jaws Drop (All For VERY Dif

Is it just me or do you also think that this year has been particularly eventful in Bollywood? We saw the good, the bad and the ugly with some great films, heart-breaking separations, high-profile weddings and the Khan-tastic reunion (my personal favorite 2014 moment).  Refresh your memory and read this list of 20 moments in Bollywood that made my jaw drop in surprise and shock!

1. Genius Of The Year - Alia Bhatt

Alia Bhatt proved she has a sense of humor and how! Rather than being embarrassed about the Prithviraj Chauhan goof up on Koffee with Karan last year, she teamed up with team All India Bakchod to make a funny video about her IQ problem. I am laughing as I am typing this so I suggest you go and watch that video once again!

2. The Debut That Caused Ovaries Explosion

I am talking about none other than Fawad Khan. He first made his way into our hearts with Zindagi Gulzar Hai and then made our ovaries explode with his big screen debut Khoobsurat! I would like to take this moment to thank God for sending him to earth and to the makers of Khoobsurat and Zindagi TV for bringing him to India.

3. The Wedding Of The Year

This wedding has been more popular than any other celebrity wedding ever. Although I love all videos and photos from the wedding, if I have to pick a favourite, it will be the Salman Khan-Shah Rukh Khan kiss to Arpita Khan (and now Sharma!) on her sangeet. A gift for all of us, don't you think?

4. Thank You Rajat Sharma!

Salman and SRK made another appearance together after Arpita's wedding, except this time it was with Aamir Khan. 21 years of Aap Ki Adaalat was everything it shouldn't have been  but we can't complaint.  Just looking at the picture of the three together makes the world a better place!

5. Lover's Nest!

Thumbs up to the fact that Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor took a big step in their relationship by moving-in together, but it's high time they talk about it. Someone please give them a CD of Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya

6. Dia Mirza's Wedding

Another wedding that managed to create some buzz this year was Dia Mirza and Sahil Sangha. This is mostly because Dia made a gorgeous bride and looked exceptional at every function. Here's wishing her a great married life!

7. 1000 Weeks Of DDLJ

The movie that made me believe in true love and the fact that it's possible to dance in a little red dress in snow, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayegene successfully completed 1000 weeks run at Maratha Mandir, Mumbai this year. Yay to that! By the way, whenever you watch this film again, do yourself a favor and pay attention to SRK's eyes. You can thank me later!

8. 20 Years Of Andaz Apna Apna

Aila! It's been 20 years already!' was my reaction when I realized that Andaz Apna Apna released in 1994. 2014 celebrated 20 years of this cult classic, which, by the way. was a flop when it first released. And look at us now, still praying for its sequel to get made. How times change, I tell you!

9. Govinda - From Flab To Fab

When I first saw Govindas six packs in Happy Ending, I was like whoa! While the film may have been a dud, Govinda looked like a total stud! Wow, I should be a poet!

10.  #BangBangDare

Hritik Roshan came up with something rather innovative to promote his film Bang Bang this year. He challenged his friends from the industry to record their challenge on camera share on social media. Ranveer Singh was the clear winner for his Krrish' act in the middle of the streets of Mumbai, with Shraddha Kapoor finishing close second.

11. Arjun Kapoor-Ranveer Singh Bromance Roasted By AIB

The Roast as a concept was a first for India this year. It was an event where the very sporting Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor allowed AIB to insult them while theRoast' master Karan Johar supervised it. It was a-ha-mazing!

12. Bollywood's Ice Bucket Challenge

How can we forget the #ALSiceBucketChallenge this year! This was one of the coolest campaigns that not only spread awareness and raised money for a cause but also gave us some real fun celebrity moments. By the way, Daler Mehndi's challenge is my favorite. Which one's yours?

13. The Most Heart-Breaking Separation

Never and allow me to exaggerate, NEVER in my life did I expect this couple to break up (Especially after 14 years and two most adorable babies.) It's not our fault that we assumed Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan (I hate to address her like that) will live happily ever after. This was one couple straight out of a fairy tale but then real-life happened, I guess. if even Sussanne and Hrithik can't make it, then what hope is there for the rest of us? It's hrithikulous!

14. Anushka's Donald Act!

There was a whole lot of controversy surrounding Anushka Sharmas lips this year, especially after her episode of Koffee With Karan. Even the exciting news of her affair with Virat Kohli couldn't stop everyone from talking about her lips ALL YEAR LONG. She did come out and speak about it thankfully, but correct me if I'm wrong - Anushka looked a lot better before this!

15. Jackky Bhagnani's Masala Moment

Jackky Bhagnani took to twitter to congratulate Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai for her achievement, except he called her Masala! Ouch.

He later apologized for the typo and said that he was glad he could give everyone a laugh.

16. India's Oscar Entry 2015

Jackky Bhagnani went on to make news not once but two times in 2014 (who would've thought, right?). His film Youngistaan made an independent entry at the Oscar in the Best Foreign Film' category. Hmm.

17. The Cleavage Row

TOI chose to display Deepika Padukone's "cleavage show" at some event for their benefit. The very furious (and rightly so) Deepika wrote an open letter to the national daily giving her Point of view' about the report and let me say, it was brilliant. #IStandWithDeepika

18. Gauahar Khan's Slaptgate

A random person from the audience of a reality show slapped Gauahar Khan because apparently, her clothes were too revealing to be worn by a Muslim woman. What the hell? It is outright atrocious and just goes to show the shallow mindset of people. #WhatAShame. While most celebrities came out in support of her, some losers seemingly were on the side of the perpetrator. Gauahar's own official statement about the incident was moving too. However, it was Monster Shanu's viral video that told us exactly why the slap happened.

19. Shweta Prasad Prostitution Racket That Wasn't

The National Award winning child artist from Madkee, Shweta Prasad Basu was found amidst a controversy where she got involved in a prostitution racket. A lot was written about how she did this to sustain her family, most of which was not true. Once she got a clean-chit from the court, she wrote an open letter slamming the media for publishing nonsense.

20. Priyanka Chopra's Property Misuse

Apparently, Priyanka Chopra had rented one her properties to a spa owner in Mumbai who misused it to run a sex racket. Not cool!
