Does the night out tie into the murder?

Just a thought but maybe Baldev and Veera staying out all night might tie into the murder? What if they think Baldev was with Nihal during that time and he won't want to say the truth because Veera will get incriminated because people will wonder what they were doing out all night alone before the wedding? I just feel like there might be more to them clearly showing us that they were out all night.
