Lavanya grabs the newspaper from Meghan's hands and tell her to go and eat her breakfast. Lavanya rushes with the newspaper to her bedroom. It reads "Trisha Swaika was shot by Lavanya Grewal" & has a photo of her shooting Trisha at the bottom. Lavanya panics reading the news. The unknown caller calls again & tells her that this news hasn't been printed in the newspaper yet but this is how the headlines could look like. He disconnects the call. Lavanya grows anxious after realizing that someone saw & clicked her picture while she was shooting at Trisha.
The police finds Vivaan in an unconscious state at a park. They bring him to the Swaika house. Kabir informs Prateek that he's unconscious due to drug overdose. Amrita tries to thank Kabir for bringing Vivaan home but Prateek interrupts & says that Vivaan is a loser & it's all due to his bad upbringing by an adamant mother (Sonali) & a spineless, dull father (Gaurav).
Kabir offers to provide a police cover for Prateek as his car had exploded earlier. But Prateek refuses it & tells him to concentrate on catching the 2nd shooter. Amrita tries to convince him too but he starts accusing her instead for plotting to have him killed. Amrita is shocked. Prateek says that his trust has been broken by his own (Neha & Kushan) and so he is free to suspect anybody. Kabir tells him that they've found some clues at the car servicing centre where an unknown individual with a yellow car was spotted when Prateek's car was being repaired.
At the Grewal house, investigating officers interrogate Meghan. She doesn't tell them about noticing an unknown individual outside her house. The officers go away. Meghan tells Lavanya that although she saw that man in the yellow car but she trusts her & is sure that Lavanya isn't involved in any of this.
At the Swaika house, Trisha tells Vivaan not to do drugs. Vivaan tells her to leave him alone. She leaves. He desperately starts looking for drugs and finds them. Amrita catches him & takes the drugs away.
Kabir interrogates Lavanya regarding the gun she didn't tell him about. Lavanya refuses to cooperate & says that she's being harassed. Kabir says that he's just trying to do his job. Lavanya sends him away.
Dr Aditya gifts Trisha her favorite chocolates but she suddenly recalls how Kushan used to bring her the same chocolates while she was being held hostage. She feels scared and hugs him, & asks him to help her get over this trauma. Aditya advises her to give herself enough time to recover. Meghan notices them together. She returns to Grewal house in a bad mood.
Dr Varsha tries to evaluate Kushan at the mental asylum. She sends the guards away. Kushan repeatedly says that he wants to kill Prateek Swaika. Varsha gets up to leave & Kushan attacks her & tries to strangulate her. The guards rescue Varsha & take Kushan away. Kabir apologizes to her for going through all that. Varsha says that to help Kushan recover from his current state they'll have to put on a show where he'll be made to believe he's killed Prateek for real. Kabir plans out a confrontation between Kushan & Prateek where Kushan would be given a gun with fake bullets & he would assume he has fired at & killed Prateek.
Kabir goes to Prateek with this plan & he agrees to do it. Kabir reassures Amrita & Trisha that he'll be kept safe.
The next morning, Lavanya goes to visit Kushan. The cops inform Kabir about her visit.
Kabir gets the gun with fake bullets ready. He keeps it locked inside a cupboard. He tells Prateek to keep a blood pouch under his clothes so that blood oozes out when he's shot. Prateek is also made to wear the bullet proof jacket.
Kushan is bound by a chain (around his leg & hands) that'll restrict his movement so that he doesn't lash out. Varsha goes to visit him & says that she's fulfilled her promise of bringing Prateek to him.
Kabir, who's watching them through the security camera, asks officer Sharma to get the gun from his cupboard.
But an unknown individual in a 'burqa' (with his face entirely covered) reaches the cupboard before officer Sharma & manages to switch the fake bullets with real ones.
Officer Sharma takes the gun out to the room where Kushan has been chained. Prateek comes in front of Kushan & starts taunting & provoking him. He accuses him of killing his own son & calls him names. The gun is thrown towards Kushan. Prateek asks him to pick up the gun & shoot at him. Kushan shoots him & Prateek falls to the floor. Kushan is taken away. Kabir goes to Prateek & asks him to get up as Kushan has left. Prateek writhes in pain on the floor. Kabir immediately sends him to the hospital. The bullet has just brushed past his shoulder so he's administered stitches & sent home.
Kushan is given a sedative and he rests in his cell. Varsha is shocked to know that someone replaced the fake bullets. Kabir tells her that he suspects either Kushan, Lavanya or the 2nd shooter behind all this. Amrita calls Kabir & is shocked to learn that Prateek was injured. Kabir apologizes & assures her that he'll be fine. Trisha tells Amrita not to worry & asks her to stop thinking about the case.
At the Grewal house, Lavanya receives another phone call from the unknown individual. He asks her to check Meghan's email as he's going to send her picture (of her shooting Trisha) there. Lavanya panics & quickly calls Meghan to know her password. She gives her the excuse that she has to send some important emails & her own ID is not working. Meghan tells her the password, "bobbyMyBro". Lavanya realizes that no picture has been sent to Meghan.
The unknown individual calls again & tells her that he was just playing with her. Lavanya says that she's had enough of his games & she won't take him seriously after this. The unknown individual next informs her that he's the 2nd shooter who actually shot Trisha that day. He tells Lavanya to check her emails. Lavanya finally realizes that she's not the one who had shot Trisha as she fired at her from behind & Trisha was hit by the bullet in the stomach.
Precap: Kabir comes to know that the man who planted the bomb in Prateek's car was Prahlad. Prahlad is brought in the police station for interrogation.
