Hey guys! As I said in my previous post, I tried to write something on Olicity and here it is! All the scenes described in it are from the series itself. It's my first on Olicity so please bear with me 😆
Never in his life he had felt this way about a woman. He had blamed his double life for the reason why he is still not with her. But deep down his heart he knew that it wasn't his life as the Arrow he was afraid of; it was Oliver Queen himself. With his history of doomed relationships, he was terrified that he might hurt her. And he can't even stand the thought of hurting her. Hurting his Felicity.
Felicity. She was so similar to her name. Her presence brought joy and bliss to his woeful life. Even at the worst of times her presence contented him. He knew he was falling for her and he did everything in his hand to keep that from happening and yet he failed. He has fallen deeply in love with her. Oliver Queen had lost control over his heart.
When Felicity saw him with Isabel, it hurt him more than it has hurt her. He hated himself for doing that. But he had thought it was better if he had not explained himself to her as it would lead her to think that he hasn't changed afterall. He is the same rich playboy he used to be. But she knew him better than that. She knew he was pushing himself into a world of loneliness because he didn't think he deserved to be happy. And he had almost confessed his feelings to her that day when she had questioned him about Isabel. He wanted her to know that it wasn't her who wasn't right for him; it was him who was all wrong for her. He knew she deserved much better than him.
He still remembered the day when The Count had kidnapped her. How he had fired three arrows right into his chest when he tried to hurt her. In that moment he realized how much he loved her. How far he could go to protect her.
She was strong herself. It was never like she needed him to protect her. She has proved herself to be a hero when she took that bullet for Sara. That's who she was. She would do anything to keep the people she love safe. That was the thing that made him and her so alike.
Whenever he comes to a dead-end, she was the one who always pulls him out of there. When he had given up on the battle with Slade Wilson, it was her who still had faith in him. She believed in him and that was all he needed to win. And when he had told her he loved her, he only knew how much he meant it.
His friend John Diggle was the one who kept on forcing him to work on his life as Oliver Queen rather than just hiding in the cave. He was the one who always understood how Oliver felt about Felicity. And Oliver did listen to him. He had asked her out on a date and it was the first time that Oliver Queen ever felt nervous asking a girl out. She had looked so beautiful in red. He felt like everything was finally getting in the track. With all the enemies of Starling City gone, he felt he could finally be with her. But he was wrong. When he carried her limp body to the cave, he cursed himself for involving her in his dangerous life. He loathed himself for believing that something could go right in his life.
He knew he had to tell her that he was never going to be the right man for her. He was never going to be able to give her the happiness she deserves. But when she asked him to say he never loved her, he just couldn't hold it inside him anymore. He wanted to scream and tell her how much he loved her. How much he wanted to be with her. And in that moment he just couldn't stop himself from kissing her. It was as if he didn't kiss her then, he would have exploded. And when his lips touched hers, he felt alive. He never wanted that moment to end. He could kiss her for eternity. It was as if he was made to love her. To cherish her. It broke his heart when she pulled away from him. But he understood the pain she must have to deal with. And he knew it will be best for her if he just stayed away from her.
It hurts like hell when you are in love with someone who you could never be with. And there is no one who could know this better than Oliver. But as he would watch her every day, he couldn't help but wished if someday she would be his. And he would be hers. Someday.
