Originally posted by: GudakeshaThis part is dedicated to BurnTheAshes. I have been following her works lately but couldn't comment on all the works. This is as an apology and also a respect to her.
I read this in the break after my German Lecture. I had less time so I did not stoppen to read the author's not and directly jumped to the Synopsis. This is a nasty habit of mine when I am online from my cellphone. Other habits ofcourse include not directly liking and commenting. So, got home and decided to comment and read the A/N.Dedicated to Moi? And you are reading my stuff? Woah. That's Amazing to read.Apology for not commenting? Granted. I can't blame you lol, it's okay, time restraints, lazy fingers and my mountain of work. I'm extremely honored to know that you...(this is me, getting all formal when I am out of coherent friendly words.)I'm Ashlesha. You are?Synopsis:They say Blood is thicker than water. Is it true?Inspector Vardhaan brings a criminal's son and raises as his own along with his wife Maya, a journalist. I love Varya. They are my second Ship after Vidarth! Journalist Maya seems a really interesting one. I can almost picture her typing away, interviewing people and grilling them! πTwenty years later, the criminal Harsh comes to claim his son and reveals how Vardhaan, now Commissioner killed his mom, implying that Maya, now a newsreader is not his actual mother. Will the true blood show its color? Randhir being raised by Varya, again a different twist. It intrigues me. Normally when I do brain storming and stuff Parth always ends up being Varya's son. I don't know why!Prologue:It is raining rigorously, the thunders are unkind too. Near the railway tracks of Bombay, a little cottage shielded by the branches of a huge tree, is echoed by the cries of an infant. A lady in mid-twenties took the child in her arms, consoling him with her warmth when she hears the door being banged continuously."Renuka!" "Renuka, It's me Harsh. Open the door."Harsh? Renuka panicked. She put her son down and went to attend him immediately."Oh, Renuka," Harsh hugs her, "I so missed you. Where is my child?" He left and looked his son."Harsh, how did you come here?" she asked worried."I escaped from prison - to see my son," he went near the child and picked him up, planting several kisses on his face. "My son!" "Did you see, he looks just like me?" he said in excitement.Renuka snatched her son from him. "Stay away from my son. If he stays under your shadow, he'll become like you." Her fear is tangible."But I took such huge risk only to see my son. MY BLOOD. My family is complete now. You cannot keep him away from me. I'm pleading you..." I expected him to threaten her. Oh well, but begging wala Harsh is just more fun and satisfying. Again the desperation to have his family. I feel sad for him.Just then they hear siren of the police van."We should leave this place. Come," Harsh said taking his son from him."No Harsh wait." Renuka tried to stop him."Please listen to me. I know committed many crimes. But believe it or not, I did everything for you. Because I love you and only to give you a good life." Stop making me feel for evil people you awesome writer you!"I never wanted money colored with blood Harsh" she cried."I know, but I promise, I'll leave everything now. We'll start a new life with our son."Outside police has surrounded the cottage. Inspector Vardhaan, the vigilant and encounter specialist headed them. Taking the mike he announced loudly, "HARSH!!! Surrender yourself. Don't you dare try to play games with me..."Harsh panicked inside. "Renuka lets go from backdoor... Come." He dragged her."HARSH!! You know I have done 17 encounters till now. You really don't want to be the 18th, do you?" Vardhaan warned him."No Harsh," Renuka said, "he will kill you. Surrender yourself"Harsh chided her, "Are you crazy?" They hear the train coming. "See, good train. We'll embark on it."Outside Vardhaan has given the final warning, "I'll count three Harsh. Afterwards, not me, my revolver will speak." "ONE..."Backside the train has almost reached them. "TWO"Harsh started running parallel to it holding the child tight, while Renuka is trying hard to follow him. "THREE" And Vardhaan and his team showered bullets at the door. Hearing no sign of people inside they break through."Sir.. there is a back door which leads to the tracks," Kabir, his assistant told him."And just now a train siren was here..." Vardhaan said, "Quick boys.. he should not get out of hand." They rushed towards the train and saw Harsh already trying to board the train, while Renuka caught up with him and snatched her son."Renuka, what are you doing.." he stopped, "Give him to me.." he tried to take him."No, I won't give my child," she fought.Harsh saw Vardhaan aiming him and on the other side the train has just left past him and he started running. Vardhaan shot from his revolver towards Harsh, seeing this Renuka came infront taking the bullet on herself. Vardhaan was shocked, Harsh has boarded the train and as he looked back to extend his hand for his wife, he saw that she is left far behind and fell on the ground. He realized what has happened and fell in tears seeing his beloved wife, as the train went out of sight in few seconds.Vardhaan, reeling in shock went to Renuka. He regretted big time."I'm sorry!" he muttered, discouragedly, taking off his cap."Don't be. I'm happy my son is safe," Renuka kissed the child. It was obvious that she won't live. She removed her chain with a star in a circle locket and put it around her son's neck. She gestured Vardhaan to take him. "Promise me, you'll make him a good human being," she asked him low breath and tears.Vardhaan is moved too, "I promise, I will never let any criminal's shadow to fall on him and make him best of men." This was beautiful!Getting assured, Renuka passed away with a content that her son will live a dignified life and everything happened for a good.-----------Vardhaan entered his house with a gloomy face. His journalist wife Maya saw the child in her hands and questioned him."Vardhaan? What's this? Whose child it is?"He told her the entire story. Maya took the child from him and changed his clothes with her just born son's."We have put our men along the railway line Maya, Harsh has been caught. He is likely to get 14 year term in prison" he sat on sofa with his hands on his face."Then what's the problem Vardhaan?" Maya asked feeding her own milk to the infant Vardhaan brought."Problem is that.. An innocent has been killed Maya, I have orphaned this infant. What is his fault in all these? It must not have been even a week he entered this world. Perhaps, his mom has not yet even named him.. and I?" he was on the verge of breaking down."Then we will name him Vardhaan," Maya said."What?" he looked at her."Yes, instead of sending him to an orphanage we'll name him, along with our son in tomorrow's christening ceremony. I have developed a motherly affection for him after feeding my milk. We have not one but two sons now. And no one will ever know about it."Vardhaan knew Maya is a wonderful human being. It was during one of his secret missions that he met Maya and fell in love instantly. He realized he is not really an angry-young-man always on mission terrorizing everybody as the department perceived him to be. When he pursued her like a school-boy, Vardhaan himself was surprised at his hidden traits. With her around, he changes - he shows his vulnerable side to her, share his fears with her. But today, his respect for her increased thousand folds."I love you, Maya," he said pulling her into a hug. Lemme make myself klar. I'll be reading this only for Vidarth and Varya and Randhir. I don't really like Sandhir, but maybe I MIGHT because you are a skilled manipulator of emotions. Loved it and can't wait to read the rest!Keep me updated!- Ash!Precap: 20 years later.
