Chapter 5
Randhir and Sanyukta started preparing the list of things to do for the freshers party. They finalized on the caterer and also finalized the menu. Then came the performers for the party. Randhir said "yoyo singh will give a comedy performance and Arpita will sing"(here Yoyo and Arpita were in Randhir's class)
Sanyukta immediately said "Randhir we will ask Parth to play the guitar . you know he plays it very well" she was so excited about explaning parths ability she didn't notice a fuming Randhir. He held her wrist tightly " you cannot think beyond Parth always parth parth" his eyes were red with pain anger. She moaned in pain "Randhir you are hurting me" He left her hand with a jerk and after few minutes he noticed red mark on her wrist and he felt the pain that he had given her. He took her hand in his gently and blew air from his mouth so as to soothe her pain.
Sanyukta was confused to see this side of Randhir. He was caring her like mother does to her child. She was mesmerized by his actions. Then Anju brought some samosas and jamoons and Randhir was introduced to her by Sanyukta. When he saw mother and daughters bonding he felt jealous and he remembered his mom who was never ever cared for him or for his dad. He thanked Sanyus mother and also touched her feet before leaving her house which made Sanyukta smile.
Next day was Freshers Party. All girls were wearing sarees of their choice and boys were wearing blazers. All girls were looking beautiful and boys were looking smart in their attire.
He was standing in the gate itself to have a first look of his farzi in saree. Here she came wearing a black net saree with a golden border and her silky hair pinned behind with a clip. Her eyes kohld and her lips were highlighted with gloss and a bindi. She was looking like a princess. Randhir stunned to see her . she was looking so beautiful. He went close to her and she stopped and she was greeting him good morning when he raised his right hand slowly and took of her clip and his eyes were just looking deep into her eyes " ab achi lag rahi ho" he said and left with the clip leaving behind a blushing Sanyukta.
They all gathered in the auditorium and performances were started. After Parth performed everyone went to him and congratulated him. When Sanyukta was congratulating Parth she heard a beautiful voice coming from the stage which was singing "ek ladki ko dekha to aisa laga jaise kilta gulab jaise" when she turned towards the stage she was surprised to see Randhir singing the song and his eyes fixed on her. She was really surprised to know that Randhir was a fabulous singer as well.
After the performances there was a speech by Vardhan and Maya and when they left the venue students were being served the food. Sanyukta took a plate for herself and put some food and was searching for a chair to sit when someone stamped on her saree and her saree pleats were coming off. She was embarrassed and her eyes were filled with tears and her face has turned into red as if all the blood from the body has flushed to her face. With plate in one hand she held the pleats from the other hand. Tears were dripping from her eyes as she knew she cannot do anything and if she tries to move a step also her saree will fall. Her vision was blurred. When she felt two strong hands lifting her upand when she opened her eyes she saw herself in Randhir's arms. He carried her to an empty class room and putting her down carefully."tum apni saree teek karlo iam going outside" and he went outside and closed the class room door.
She thanked him for the help. He held her shoulders gently and looking into her eyes " Sanyuktaa..." He stammered. "Muuujhe tuumse kuch kehna he Oh I "
She said bolona what you want to say?
