Thank You everyone. I am so floored by your response. I tried to reply to each of as much as I could but was unable to due to lack of time. Still, thanks for all the comments and likes. Also, those who want pm's, it would be easier for me if you could send me friend request.Well, here goes the first part.
"Yeh madrasan sirf khud saaj rahi hai yah phir apne pure gao ko sajwaa rahi hai? Kab se intezzar kar raha hu. Kar kya rahi hai bathroom mein?" He muttered to himself, irritated with his wife as he paced on the living room floor. He had been waiting for the past fifteen minutes and Madam ji still hasn't shown up yet. They were going to Ishita's old friend marriage today, someone named of Sahana. Any other day Ruhi would be coming with them too but she has refused in order to play with Shravaan and he was somewhat grateful to Ruhi for this for Raman wished to spend some time with Ishita away from their family, even if it meant he had to go on one of her friend's wedding.
Thankfully Ishita's friend friend wasn't tamil- he might have went through the torture of Tamilian functions for Ishita quite some time ago but he didn't think he could sit through another Tamilian wedding, even as a guest. No, his own had been enough, a wedding which had ended in him having a very, very bad stomach condition.
He smiled to himself as he remembered their so called Suhaag Raat. They could probably get there name in the Guinness book for that one. Unusual would be putting it mildly. The way they had spent the whole night fighting, his frequent visits to the bathroom and last, but not the least, Ishita's misunderstanding with the so called medicine. Back then he had been irritated and angry and had considered that to be the one of the worst day in his life. Now, he just found it plain funny and actually a sweet memory.
He was so busy in reminiscing that he did not notice when Ishita had come out of their room and was slowly walking towards him. She was wearing a dark green coloured saree with golden border, matching jewelry with minimum make up. Raman, who had been standing in front of the kitchen table, smiling to himself, looked up at her. Beautiful. That was the first thing that crossed his mind. He felt his jaw drop as he let his eyes roam all over her, noting the way the saree clinged to her at the right places and accentuated her curves. The dark green suited the creamy expanse of her skin. He had made too many jokes on her favourite colour- calling it Karela- but by god, green might have just become his favourite colour from today. Finally, he looked at her face and saw that she was smirking, no doubt she has noticed his close inspection and was enjoying his dazed look thoroughly. He opened his mouth to say something, to compliment her but words failed him, so he settled for a simple, "Sundar lag rahi ho." Ishita smiled. "I know." She walked past him and opened the door. "Chale?" She asked, inclining her head towards the door and walked out without waiting for an answer.
He blinked and shook his head. "Akkar toh dekho iss madrasan ki. Sundar lag rahi ho bola toh ek thank you ke wajay I know bolke chali gaya. Itni bhi sundar nahi lag rahi." Who was he kidding, though? He knew very well how beautiful she looked.
It had been quite some time since that day in his office. He had been contemplating his and Ishita's relationship for quite some time now, after their chat in his office and Ishita's hand injury and the pain he had felt when he had saw her lying on the ground clutiching her hand, forcing him to rethink their relation all over again. Raman was still unclear of his feelings and even more of Ishita's but at least he had acquainted himself with some facts about their relationship.
One, he was physically attracted to Ishita. Who wouldn't be? As much as he would like to pretend she was fat and average, he knew very well that she had a perfect figure and was extremely pretty as well. Yet, even the physical attractions felt different in a way he could not explain. There was just something between them that made it feel like there was sparkling of electricity whenever their hands touched. But was she attracted to him? Sometimes, he felt so but he could not be sure, since Ishita had an amazing ability to act like nothing happened even after the most awkward romantic situations they unknowingly sometimes got tangled in.
Secondly, he cared about her, a lot. A person he had once hated had become one of his reasons for living to him. Ishita mattered to him in a way even he wasn't completely aware of, but he knew that seeing her in pain hurts him-be it emotional or physical, that he liked taking care of her, that for some reason he liked doing little things for her and watching her smile filled him with a strange sense of calmness.
Third, he had started to think of them as a couple and was quite possessive about her. He had claimed her to be his wife that day in court and he had truly given her that place. They might not be husband and wife in the conventional sense but they had something which was even more precious to him. He, without even realizing it, gave her full right on him and he thought of her as his too, someone he has a right on, someone's attention he wasn't willing to share with anyone else, not even Ruhi. However, he was pretty sure Ishita was still living in her bubble of "Ruhi ke liye" marriage and of him as "Ruhi's papa"- something that had been apparent to him after her she is happy being Ruhi's Ishima talk in his office.
He really needed to burst his Jhaansi Ki Raani's bubbles and show her the truth and who knew, he might be able to understand the truth in that process too. For, all his contemplations, he hadn't yet figured out what all these three facts pointed towards and there were still many facts left untouched.
"Raman, we have arrived," Ishita said, touching Raman's hand.
Her voice shook him out of his thoughts on their relationship and what he planned to do about it. He nodded in yes, getting out of the car and opening the door for her.
Ishita smiled at his gesture. The Raman Kumar before their marriage wouldn't have done this for her.
"Yahi, baitha baitha mera muh dekhna hai yah phir aandar bhi jaana hai?," Raman said in his usual Raavan Kumar tone.
She pouted at him and started walking towards the wedding venue. Raman quickly caught up with her, their hands entangling with each other without both of them realizing it.
