Part-2
Everyone started moving towards the table for dinner. Ishita was stumbling while walking in high heels. She was about to fall when Raman held her by her waist as she closed her eyes in fear.
He looked at her for a few seconds while helping her balance herself on her feet again.
She slowly mumbled a thanks to him as he broke his gaze and looked around.
He commented with a irritated face "jab heels pehne ki adat nahi hai to kya zaroorat thi pehnke yun matakne ki? Khud ko aishwarya rai samajhti ho? Upar se ye dress! Aisa lagta hai jaise curtain ko kaatke uska dress banadiya ho!"
ishita became sad on his comment as she cutely pouted saying "aap na! Jab saree pehnti hu to aapko pasand nahi...ab jab aapke liye western outfit pehni hu tab bhi aapko prob hai! Aur ye heels mihika ne diya pehenne ko as iss dress se matching sandals nahi the mere paas."
Raman smiles slightly on knowing that she wore this for him. She doesnt realise that she said it on his face.
"Pata bhi hai kitni mehnat karni padi mujhe...aur aap ho ki ek shabd tareef ki nahi nikalti mere liye! Bala jiju aur mihir ko dekho...kitna praise kar rahe the akka aur mihika ko!..."
She suddenly realises what she said as raman looks on in amusement.
Ishita shyly looks down while murmuring to herself- 'ye kya boldiya ishu! Ab pata nahi ye ravan kumar kya taunt karega!'
Raman keeps his eyes fixed on her as he smiles. She looks up and asks "kya? Aise kyun ghoor rahe ho?" While adjusting her dress.
Raman feels elated to know that his wife got ready only for his sake and that she wants to hear his compliments to her.
But being the man of attitude, he covers up his feelings by asking her "to tum khud ko Christmas Tree ki tarah saja rahi thi sirf mere liye?" While trying not to laugh at her.
She feels sad that all her efforts went in vain as he would never compliment her beauty.
She tried to remain calm as she replied "aapke liye sajne ka koi shauk nahi hai mujhe. Mai to sirf ye dikhana chahti thi ki i can carry any look. Par aapse to baat karna hi bekaar hai. Mai ja rahi hu dinner karne sabke saath.".
She walks away as he says her "areh sambhalke kadam rakho...warna gir jaogi to dharti pe cracks padh jayenge!"
Ishita hears that and is mad at him as she hurries towards the table and takes her seat.
Raman follows her while smiling to himself thinking - 'ishita, tum to humesha se hi khoobsurat ho, bina kisi makeup ya saaj sajawat ke bhi."
Raman walks towards the table to take a seat next to ishita when she realises and immediately calls ruhi and shravan to sit beside her on her both sides so as to not let raman sit beside her.
Raman stares at her as she gives him a winning smile. Romi teases Raman saying "areh bhai, aap do minute late hogaye. Ab to bhabhi ke saath baithne ka chance gaya!"
Everyone laughs at this as raman is irritated and walks to sit next to mihir while replying romi "tu chup chaap khaana kha beta! Zyada daant dikhaye to dobara kuch khaane ya bolne ke layak nahi rahoge!"
Romi hides his smile and they all have their dinner.
There's an announcement from the event organiser requesting all the couples to join him on the dance floor for a dance.
mihir-mihika and Bala-Vandita makes everyone agree for the couple dance. Ishita is still mad at raman for his comments on her. She refuses to take part in dance.
Raman offers his hand to her for a dance without anyone forcing him which amuses everyone including ishita.
She looks at him in shock as he smiles and says "chalo na ishita, sab couples part le rahe hai to hume bhi lena chahiye."
Mrs.Iyer also tells her to agree for the dance as they all are participating.
Ishita has no choice so she gives her hand in his while looking away from him angrily.
As all the couples assemble on the dance floor, they all are given a huge square shaped paper on which they are asked to stand for paper dance.
The organizer explains the rules of the paper dance.
"Rules are-Once the song stops, the partners should step on the piece of newspaper and avoid touching the ground. The paper is folded in every stop so it gets smaller and smaller and so as the number of couples.The couple whose feet don't touch the ground outside the newspaper will be the winner."
The music starts and all the couples start dancing. As the papers gets smaller, couples lose their balance and are disqualified.
Mr and mrs bhalla gets out as mr bhalla steps outside the paper for balance.
The paper gets even more smaller that only it fit one pair of feet. Mr and mrs iyer lost it. Bala and vandu themselves quit since they didnt want to risk vandu and the baby.
Ishita and raman were finding hard to balance on the small piece of paper. Both were dancing by balancing on their toes. Since it was getting uncomfortable for them both, raman suggested her to keep her feet over his so that they both can balance.
Ishita did as he said and both were dangerously close to each other's body as they both looked into each other's eyes passionately.
Raman whispered to ishita "I'm sorry."
Ishita didn't understand and asked "kisliye?" As she wrapped her arms around his neck to gain balance.
Raman was more and more affected by the close proximity though even ishita was getting affected equally.
He tried to control his thoughts as he confessed "tum sach me aaj bahut achi lag rahi ho. Aur sach kahun to you don't need any accessories to enhance your beauty."
Ishita blushed as she looked down unable to meet his eyes.
He smiled looking at her lovingly as the music stopped and the paper was folded one more time making it difficult for 2person to even stand on it.
Only mihir-mihika, raman-ishita and one more couple was left.
Mihir tried to lift mihika but lost balance so got disqualified for which mihika was angry at mihir.
Raman took ishita in his arms and danced standing on the paper as ishita snuggled closer to him to help him balance himself.
Everyone was happy seeing raman-ishita enjoying their dance. They seemed to be lost in each other completely.
Ruhi clapped her hands and jumped screaming "yaayyy ishima! Papa! Aap dono ko jeetna hai... all the best".
Soon the other couple too lost the balance and raman-ishita were declared winners.
Ruhi ran towards the stage and jumped into the welcoming arms of raman and ishita as they hugged her together kneeling down on the floor.
Both Bhalla's and iyers were happy and wished these 3 stay happily like this forever.
As they got down from stage, mihir teased raman saying "kya baat hai bhai! Aap to bade romantic nikle! Kya dance tha...wah!"
Bala added saying "sach me raman! Tum dono to ek doosre me itne khoye hue the ki aas paas kuch nazar bhi nahi aa raha tha!"
Raman and Ishita felt awkward and shy at their family comments. Ishita gave excuse of finding ruhi and left leaving raman to handle the family alone.
He got angry at her for leaving him like this in the mess. He stared at everyone shouting "areh kya faltu ki baatein karte ho tum log! Ye sirf dance ke liye karna pada. Ab ullu ki tarah aap sab jaagte rahoge ya sone bhi jaoge? Khud araam karo aur mujhe bhi karne do plz!" He joined his hands faking his irritation as he walks away to his room.
Soon everone is back to their rooms and call it a day.
They all retired to their rooms calling it a day.
Ruhi insists to sleep with raman and ishita but mrs bhalla promises her to tell a new story for her and takes her along to their room to let ishita and raman be alone for the night.
Ishita feels awkward initially since there was no couch in their room and that would mean that they both would have to share the bed.
Raman understands her tensed face and offers her the bed and says he'll sit in the chair and sleep.
Ishita agrees and lis down on bed but feels sad as the night before too he slept in the chair as she had developed allergy in that dingy hotel and before that he was driving whole day which just aggravated his back pain. She also knew that today he danced lifting her in his arms which would have just made the backpain worser.
He locked the room and went to settle in the chair when she gets up to see if he slept or not.
As she had feared, he was turning sides in the chair, trying to forget his backpain and get some sleep.
She knew that if she would tell him to sleep on bed, he would never agree to it as he wouldn't let her sleep sitting in the chair.
Hence she makes a plan and screams loudly making raman awake in terror as he runs to her and asks "ishita kya hua?"
She closes her eyes tightly and grasps his hand. He holds her hand tighter as he reaches for the switch with his free hand and turns it on.
He looks around to find nothing as he sits beside ishita and asks again "areh bataogi bhi ki achanak kyun itni zor se chudailon ki tarah chilla rahi thi?"
Ishita pretends to be scared as she cooks up an excuse saying "raman...mujhe ajeeb sa lag raha hai. Pata nahi wo veham tha ya sapna ya sach. . . Aap plz yahin raho mere paas."
Raman believed her words and thought she was really scared of something. He didn't want to leave by her side but he was feeling awkward to sleep in the same bed.
Ishita understood that and said "aap bed ke uss corner pe so jao. Main iss corner pe so jaungi. Theek hai na?"
Raman thought for a while and then agreed to it.
As he slept on his side of the bed, ishita smiled and turned to her side and slept hoping raman would sleep well atleast tonight.
Raman turned to look at her who seemed to have dozed off. He knew that his jhansi ki rani is not someone who will be scared of anything. He then understood that she created drama so that he could sleep well as she know about his backpain. He smiled and turned back to his side and dozed off telling himself that -ye jhansi ki rani sach me amazing hai!
