Diya Aur Baati Hum Written Update 21st July 2014
Pooja preparations going on, neighbors have arrived. Some ask Bhabho about Chavvi and she replies maybe she is late. Meena interrupts saying maybe Chavvi could not make it and wonders about Taisa and Misri not arrived yet. She tells Bhabho that she will go to Taisa's house to call them again. Bhabho stops her saying she needs to go to the kitchen and she might send someone else.
Chavvi is sitting in the hall and feeling happy and tells this is what she wanted, sit leisurely and watch TV. Chavvi's mother-in-law comes there with juice. She is concerned for Chavvi's health and asks her to rest on bed and not to sit. Chavvi fakes concern for her mother-in-law is doing all the work. Her mother-in-law says it is fine as she can manage and makes her drink the juice. Just then her mother-in-law's friend arrives running and says she searched the whole area multiple times and could not find any Rajani Hospital. Chavvi is shocked as she had said some hospital's name. All wonder but Chavvi says she meant Dr. Rajani. The neighbor lady says she knows that doctor very well but she has shifted to Jaipur six months ago. Chavvi is again in trouble and is thinking when her mother-in-law replies Chavvi is not well and she could not remember now and she will get her a good doctor's name later. The neighbor lady leaves from there and Chavvi's mother-in-law is upset and thinking something.
Suraj brings Kavitha and Rathis welcome her. Bhabho and Bhabhasa are grateful that she had come in spite of being a busy day for her as results are going to be out. Sandhya also comes back to the house. Kavitha informs Bhabho that she needs to watch TV news and Bhabho asks Sandhya to take her inside. Kavitha starts watching election news.
Sandhya distributes tea/juice to all. Suraj asks her whether her friend Zakir will come. Zakir comes at the right time and standing near the door watching SurYa. Sandhya says he may not as it is going to be very for him. Zakir says that Sandhya has no trust on their friendship. SurYa turn back and go to welcome him. Sandhya says she has trust on their friendship but thought he would be very busy today. Zakir says then she is going to be double happy as he has brought someone with him whom she knows from training days. He asks her to guess and Sandhya guesses Rahul's name. Zakir asks the person to come and Agrima Singh comes there. Sandhya is surprised to see Officer Singh. All are shocked to see her. Sandhya blabbers she is very happy and did not expect her, etc. and Zakir reminds her about her hospitality. Sandhya excuses and then welcomes them to come in. Suraj and Bhabhasa welcome her. Bhabho asks Officer Singh whether she has come to take Sandhya for any training again. Officer Singh laughs and says she had come to Jaipur to attend a seminar and decided to meet her two able officers. Bhabho is happy now and asks Sandhya to make her sit comfortably. Sandhya takes her in while Lachman asks something to Sandhya and she excuses from Officer Singh. Officer Singh asks her to go and says she will find a place by herself.
Officer Singh enters the TV hall and sits on a sofa and starts watching news. She sees Kavitha from back and then asks her whether she has too much interest in politics. Kavitha says yes. The TV news announces that JCP candidate Kavitha is leading and expected to win. Officer Singh remembers the phone call with Kavitha. Just then Bhabho calls them for pooja mentioning Kavitha's name and Officer Singh is shocked.
Pooja is done and all do aarthi. Bhabho gives aarthi plate to Kavitha who does aarthi. Officer Singh is observing the amount of respect Kavitha is getting in the family. As soon as the aarthi is done, Kavitha goes to watch TV again. Officer Singh follows her. All others do bajan for some time and then pandit asks them to distribute prasad. Bhabho asks Vikram and Sandhya to distribute and tells she will take prasad for Kavitha and Officer Singh.
News announces that only four places are left for counting and Kavitha is leading. Officer Singh tells Kavitha that she is nearing her win. Kavitha turns and says thanks Ms. and pauses and Officer Singh says her name as IPS officer Agrima Singh and asks whether she remembers her. Kavitha says she does not remember having met before. Officer Singh says they have not met before but have talked and she remembers the voices of special people well. She reminds her about the phone call made to Hyderabad Police Academy. Kavitha now remembers. Officer Singh tells after seeing the respect given to Kavitha by the Rathi family, she is wondering why Kavitha did not want Sandhya to win BCT. Kavitha does not answer but Officer Singh insists her to reply. Kavitha then says she did not want Sandhya to win BCT because she did not want Sandhya to get Pushkar posting. Bhabho listens this from behind and drops the prasad plate down in shock.
Precap: Looks like Bhabho is questioning Kavitha about her betrayal in BCT issue and Kavitha replies that the deal was done for both of their selfishness as Bhabho wanted her bahu Sandhya to win BCT.
