This romantic couple met in 2004 in Sahara's Bollywood Star Contest. Gurmeet came from Mumbai and Debina from Kolkata, and both were shortlisted in the top 15 candidates. One day during dinner at a 5-star hotel with the other candidates, Gurmeet and Debina were sat next to each other and struck up a conversation. Debina told him that she was from Adarsh Nagar, and Gurmeet faked being from there too. He joked that now they must get married and settle happily ever after in Adarshnagar. Little did he know the magic that his words would carry!
