Episode 603 Discussion: 18th June 2014, Wednesday

Welcome to the Episode discussion thread which we call as Viewer's and Reader's Respite.  That's very apt, don't you think ? 😉. And that proves our objective.

Objective behind the thread is
  1. It helps in keeping the forum clean without much litter
  2. We can have it like breathers at first followed by analysis.
  3. It also helps like-minded souls and pals bond and gel together to drop in their thoughts for themselves as breathers and for their friends as a peep into the episode and for others to post their reviews.
  4. And those from different time-zones, who do not get to watch the episode at this time of telecast (Indian 8:30 PM), without any worry to trace or keep track of all their buddy's posts, they can come here, read with leisure and later post their analysis after watching it from their Time zones.

Note for All posting reviews and thoughts over this EDT

Please read the pointers below for posting on EDT.

Extremist thoughts and moralizing thoughts are not welcome over this thread. This is anentertainment show we are watching. The channel calls their programs as entertainment and we are watching the show. Discussions are welcome in light hearted and in realistic manner. Moral policing is not appreciated.  Neither is ranting or bashing actors or makers of the show.  Please exercise judgment.

Please heed to this as direct request and conditional requirement to participate in this thread.
  1. Page 1 - post only reviews (which can be one liners - if you wish.)  Also, please don't clutter up page 1 with multiple posts - give others a chance to post their reviews.
  2. Many reviewers add an "ETA" to their original post, if they want to make an additional point soon after posting.
  3. Do not litter the thread with chit-chat conversations. A little is permitted to have the friendly atmosphere, but when you feel like chatting more and the discussion becomes irrelevant to the topic on hand, please take your conversation with your buddies to chat clubs, pm mode etc.
  4. The thread becomes a mess when you give your review and do not REST for sometime until others have posted. Please understand, respites or reviews; once or twice are good for few pages...don't make a regular chat thread with your reiterating /whining / complaining on the same point. For the online readers, the thread becomes unpleasant read. There is a separate Complaints thread in Main Forum
  5. When episodic content is emotional, take a deep breath, give a good lengthy review; that acts as your vent in one single post...and make an exit to calm down your nerves if you still are possessed by only what you've seen.
  6. Regulate the font size and colors. Keep remembering that. It is really not pleasing to see big bolded letters, or multi-colored font for no special reason.
  7. Quoting Policy: refrain from single, double, triple and multiple quoting of posts on a repetitive basis.  Pick out the parts that you like to quote as opposed to quoting the entire post.   IF has a rule that more than three times quoting is not allowed. But nowadays as people read IF posts over phone, and multiple quoting makes it very hard to scroll though.
  8. Feel free to post links of other members posts which had been "delightful read" towards analysis of episodic event/s or character analysis.

Cheers,
MAS

There is nothing to say anything about episode.

Is this the same EDT which used to gets flooded with plenty of reviews once upon a time?

Am really very very sad that the EPIC MB show transformed to WORST MB show. Silence of forum members indicates that the forum is counting its last few days?

EDT turned out 'Sannaata...the silence'.

The best thing that they could do is this:

Episode should start and then Textmessage on screen -->

Because of my big ego, I Rangeela shut down this show !!!!

and then there is no episode.

We will be spared of a nonesense track and dont have to turn on Colors TV.

😡😡😡

The problem - in terms of enough or not enough millions of viewership - is not with what they showed Raja apparently doing.
The male lead can do that as well as kill the female lead's entire family, and still the pairing and the series is safe with adequate millions of mass-audience to carry the track with regular daily viewing.
The problem was that they decided to have the female lead first repudiate her marriage for weeks, and then set out to punish him legally - in a situation where most of the mass-audience supports tracks of her hushing up the matter and gradually reconciling -, when the only mass-viewership point of this series is this pairing together.
The female lead has to build up a stock of connect with majority-audience for at least 2-3 months to ensure their support for a subsequent track of her fighting.
The whole village-track and even after the return to the city showcased the female lead's characterization as sure to get only strong disapprobation from that massive audience.
If a serial shows the female lead wife who feels stuck in her marriage reacting in a traditionally pleasing way, the viewership goes up wonderfully. The opposite conduct from her, and the cosmopolitan audience will be pleased but the viewership will be staggeringly inadequate millions.
The longer the wife looks disgusted with the husband - while the mass-audience expect the couple to stop behaving like kids and honour the marriage as a nontransient commitment -, the more the viewership remains not enough millions.
For the female lead to have mass-support, she must be the more understanding and adjusting of the couple. If the husband is more adjusting, or if neither of them are adjusting much, then the mass-support goes to the husband by default.

Hope that Raja gets Madhu - with or without Radha - back to her conjugal status in RK Mansion (since it's the only opulent set we have currently in the series).
Want to see her away from that chawl-apartment set with no internal partitions and constricted space, and the consequent reworking of scenes with the lack of privacy-potential.
If Bittuji, Leelawati and their kids - presence and mention - could all be left behind in the chawl, that would be great.

Would be best if the lead couple reconciles soon, regardless of the anyways long-absent logic, in a conservatives-pleasing way with Dauji and Radha established as the family-elders. Dysfunctional families are anyway a MEIEJ norm.
Whether the other characters - Agni et al - suddenly turn positive or whatever should be fine either way. But Dauji remaining as family elder should prudently be considered essential.
The female lead's family dropping dead or disappearing is not much of a problem except in a nostalgic way. But the male lead's family or at least the elder thereof remaining, as at least a nominal social aegis for the couple, should be considered a consistently crucial factor.

Today was an acceptable episode in most facets.
Hoping for the absence of Bittuji and his family, and the story focussing on the lead couple resuming a conjugal life under one roof and speeding up the reconciliation process - with mutual understanding, regard and care rather than one-sidedly - should make for more mass-appealing episodes, and make it easier to cleanslate the foreseeably mass-unappealing just-concluded track that has been finally put out of sight.

Today I wasn't particularly watching the show itself (do you blame me?), but just DVD, and entertaining myself with trying to identify the BD moments (they're making the BD move, not just have that weird stillness thats a dead give-away.)

Come on CVs, give us something good to watch. Even if the show is wrapping up soon (which I'm very very sad about) end it all on a high note!  And if it isn't ending, just want to put it out there - I'll still be watching 😃. And I sincerely hope TRPs tomorrow are decent.

Don't ask for too good before wrapping up... we might end up with seeing reconciliation, pregnancy, giving birth and what function that give rice to the baby, all in one episode 😆
