Chapter 1 : The unexpected encounter

" Navya! Shaadi, aur vo bhi sirf tais saal mein?" shouted Ritika (Navya's best friend) for the third time while everyone gave a weird look at them in the canteen of SP Jain Institute of Management and Research.

 Navya looked around and gestured Rits by putting a finger on her lips to speak softly. She was looking beautiful in a light pink coloured chudidar kurta with her long hair loose open falling down her waist.

  "Okay fine. But Navya what about job? Tum MBA complete karne ke baad job nai karogi?" asks Ritika worried while sipping her cold coffee.

 "Asa tumse kisne kaha ki shaadi ke baad log job nai karte?" Navya smiled calmly.

 " Haan karte honge but uncle ne tumahri shaadi ke liye ek paper ke matrimony ad section mei diya hai which means ki tumhe koi aisa parivaar bhi mil sakta hai jaha ladkiyan shaadi ke baad job karne ke liye allowed na ho tab? Asks Appy (Navya's second best friend) while eating a samosa.

 "Guys tum log itna pareshan kyu ho rahe ho? Maa papa kabhi mere liye koi galat faisla le hi nai sakte. Vo ladke walo se baat karenge iss bare mein,agar unhe meri shaadi ke baad MBA continue rakhne se ya job karne se koi problem hogi toh vo vaha mera rishta kabhi taih hi nai karenge." says Navya with a assured look to pacify her friends while sipping coffee.

 "Vaise Navya" Appy asks with a naughty face " Tujhe love marriages mein koi interest nai hai kya?"

 "Love marriage ke liye kisise love bhi toh hona zaruri haina!" says Navya and the three of them chuckled.

Vedant Publcations Office

 "Ah Anant zaraa vo Jain document wali file pass karna" says Mohan while engrossed in an another file.

 "Jee bhai" says Anant while he passes the file. He was looking extremely handsome in a sky blue formal shirt and black pants.

 "Anant, tumhe pata haina ki Mr. Jain, SP Jain Institute of Management and Research ke founder aur director hai?" Asks Mohan.

 "Jee bhai aapne kal mujhe bataya tha iss bare mein" says Anant.

 "Toh vo chahte hain ki unke college ka editorial work hum sambhale. They want to make a deal."

 "Ye toh bohut achi baat hai bhai" says Anant with a smile.

 "Haan isliye main chahta hoon ki yeh deal tum finalize karo." Says Mohan and finally lifts his head from the file and looks at him.

 "Bhai par main kaise? Ye sab deals toh aap ya papa.." Anant tries to speak while abruptly cut by Mohan.

 "Main jaanta hoon Anant ki tumhe humari Publication join kiye hue zyada vaqt nahi hua hain but main chahta hoon ki tum ye kaam sikho infact papa ka bhi yehi kehna hain isliye tum abhi unke college ke liye niklo aur ye deal finalize karke aao." Says Mohan with a firm smile.

 "Thike bhai as u say" He took the file and went out of the office. He sat inside his car and drove to the college.

Anant stopped at the gates of the college. He put off his black aviators and went inside the college.

 On the way Navya was running behind Rits and Appy as they were constantly teasing her about her would be husband. She bumped into Anant. He tried to balance himself but his leg slipped and they both fell on the floor. All the notes which Navya was carrying flew in the air and showered upon them while Anant's file also fell at the corner. Navya was on top of him. Anant tried to lift his head to see her while Navya was struggling hard to get up. He could only see her pink lips while her hair was all scattered over her face. He suddenly felt an urge to remove those strands from her face which were blocking him to look at her properly. Without a second thought Anant removed those strands and Navya stopped struggling as his brown eyes met her black ones. Navya was confused at why he was looking her like that while Anant was lost in her beautiful face. They could have remained for a while but were disturbed by the giggles of Rits and Appy. They both were back to their senses and tried to get up only to be fell down again. Navya's dupatta was struck on Anant's watch which made her hands land on his chest. They both looked the struck dupatta first and then at each other. Both said sorry together and tried to get up.

 Rits and Appy have turned to the other side to suppress their smiles.

 "Kuch toh sharam kar,hanse ja rahi hai aur udhar teri dost phasi hui hai" whispered Rits slightly annoyed at Appy.

 "Ohho Rits, Yehi toh hota hain love at first sight aur dekh na vaise bhi vo ladka" she turns a bit to look at Anant, turns back and continued "kitna cute hai aur tu hi toh has rahi thi na aur vo teri dost nai hai kya?"

 "pagal hai tu" says Ritika and they both smile again.

Anant and Navya both stood up with great difficulty and then Navya started unpinning her dupatta from his watch. All the while Anant looked at her. He was lost in her beauty.

 Navya finally succeeded in unpinning her dupatta and heaved a sigh of relief.

 Meanwhile Rits has collected all the fallen notes of Navya and Appy has lifted up Anant's file.

 "Vo aap thik ho?" asks Anant a bit concerned.

 "Haan main thik hoon and am sorry,ye meri galti thi,mujhe hi asae corridor mei bhagna..." says Navya as she looks down feeling embarrassed.

 "Nahi ye meri galti thi,mujhe hi dekhe chalna chahiye tha" says Anant.

 "Nahi ye meri.." Navya tries to say but was cut by Appy.

 "Ohho galti kisiki bhi ho but itne handsome ladke se bhidne ke baad kise acha nai lagega" says Appy shyly.

 "Appy!!!" Navya whispers angrily and hit her arm by her elbow. Appy gives a -so-what- look.

 "Ahh aap please iski baton ka bura mat manna ye toh bas mazak kar rahi thi." says Navya softly.

 "Nahi, koi baat nahi" smiles Anant awkwardly.

 "Haan ye lo tumahri file" and Appy hands him the file and continues "aur bura mat manna main sachme mazak kar rahi thi aur vaise" she looks at Navya and winks "tujhe zyada pata hain ki usae bura laga ya nai"

 Navya glares at her angrily. "okay then bye and sorry once again." says Navya to Anant and drags both of them with her towards the other side.

 Anant looks at her with a smile, walking away with her friends and turning to the left side.

                                                                            ***

"Appy,tera na kuch nai ho sakta,koi asae kisi ajnabee se baat karta hai kya?" Asks Navya with an astonished look and threw her hands up in the air.

 "ohho Navya tu kitni senti ho jaati hai aur tune dekha nai ki vo tujhe kaise dekh raha tha"Appy nudges Navya with her elbow.

 "Main usae jaanti bhi nai hu,tu..tuna sachme pagal hai" Navya glares at her angrily and turns to the other side.

 Rits keeps a hand over Appy's shoulder and gestures her that she will handle now.

 "Acha ye sab chod Navya tujhe kya lagta hain" Rits says changing the topic "vo ladka yaha kyu aaya hoga?"

 Navya turns towards her with a thoughtful expression "pata nai, humare college ka toh vo nai lag raha tha kyuki usne formals pehna tha aur principal office ki taraf jaa raha tha,shayad vahi kuch kaam ho"

 "hmm ho sakta hai"says Rits.

 They all sat straight as the Professor entered to take the next class.

Anant was walking on the corridors with a happy face as he had finalized the deal with the director.

 *Bhai ko bataonga toh vo bohut khush honge* Anant thought.

 Just then he passes by Navya's class and stops there. He looks at her sitting at the first bench. She was looking keenly at the professor and nodding her head while writing down some points in between. Some strands of her hair were falling over her face which were disturbing her to write properly.

 Anant again felt a sudden urge to tuck them back behind her ear which he felt a moment ago. But he quickly brushed off his thoughts, stood there for a minute or so and then left from there smiling.

Navya reached back home and sat on the sofa. Her mother came with orange juice and gave it to her. She sat beside her with a smile.

 Navya took a few sip and then looked at her mother's cheerful expression.

 "Kya hua Maa? Aap itna muskura kyu rahi ho? Asks Navya confused.

 "Vo beta aaj tumahre liye ek rishta aaya hai,kaafi acha khandan hain.,Vo aaj shaam ko hi tumhe dekhne aa rahe hai,tum tyaar rehna" says Meeta and patted her cheeks affectionately.

 "Maa lekin.." Navya tried to say something but was cut by Meeta.

 "beta baaki ki baatein baad mein karenge abhi mujhe bohut saari tyaariya karni hai,tu bhi shaam ke liye kuch acha se pehne ke liye nikaal le" and she went to the kitchen.

 Mixed feelings were going inside Navya. She was happy but nervous at the same time.

 As she kept the glass on the table, her eyes fell on an envelope kept there. She picked up that envelope and took out a photograph. She saw the boy's photograph and her eyes grew wide. "Ye toh..." Navya whispered shockingly.
