Storms, fast and furious,
Lightening strikes
Tumultuous waves , crash into each other,
Travelling ships shudder,
Each trying to hold on the rudder,
Moments of fear, flashes of light,
Terrified eyes , and screams of fright ,
Holding on to dear life ,
Storms pass, as quickly as they come ,
The calmness belies the moments before
Sighs of relief , and echoes of prayers galore,
Storms of life , come and go
Devastating , frightening
Destructive and disheartening ,
Test your strength and your fortitude ,
The courageous will face with rectitude ,
Serenity and peace will reign,
And the world will be whole again.
