My vote goes to -

1) Pickled Love... just because it gave me a happy feeling and made me think of simpler times and simpler lifestyles. I don't know... it must have been based in the present, but it made me wonder about a time gone by. The setting was just lovely, and the story - so simple, romantic and sweet - just what I had needed on a day like this.

2) I met him in the Shower... aah well a hot body with flexing muscles and a tall lean frame a lot of fictional characters have, but a smart mouth and a saucy tongue? Boy, I love everything coming out Aaryan's mouth!  And I loved when he referred to Krishika as Kiss. Such a smooth man. I really enjoyed reading this one.

-------

There are few others that deserve mention:

-> Of Immortality and Radiance - This was beautiful and melancholic. I loved the narration and it touched me to a point that it made my eyes fill. If I had a third choice, I would have gone with this for sure.

-> Summer Mist - I loved Aahna's character. She was real and one could relate with her. I liked the ending but really missed  seeing Nachiket's reaction to Aahna's return :)

-> It Happened One Summer - Cute! You had me at the use of "Chocolate intolerance?" 😆 i don't particularly enjoy chocolate ice creams myself but everyone around me seems to be obsessed with it.

My votes go to 1) Pickled Love and 2) I met him in the shower !

Summer mist and It happened one summer were also very close , but since only two votes are allowed i had to make a choice.
I wanted to thank the MOD for coming up with this lovely contest and this one was really well executed !

My votes go to:
Summer Mist - I loved the love and longing of this story. The depiction of adjustments in married life between couples and how mutual love and affection can conquer the biggest of differences was beautifully portrayed. With a sombre start, it progressed perfectly to leave behind a feeling of hope in my soul.
Pickled Love - The innocent love of this story shone through so beautifully alongisde this unique raw earthiness. The simplicity of this one really won my heart.
