And the F1 season has started!!!

- Hamilton takes pole position but retires from the race after being overtaken by Rosberg in the first lap itself.. And Rosberg holds the lead throughout the race to win the first Grandprix of the 

season

 

- Vettel does not qualify for Q3.. I can't remember when that happened last. 

- Vettel reties too during the race

- Ricciardo ensures a  RB is in the top 2 showing that the car has potential..    But a disqualification due to  exceeding fuel consumption rules throws a big question mark on this

- Jenson Button who did not make it to Q3 lands at P3 in the main race

- And his teammate , Magnussen, making his debut, takes the second position to make it a dream debut. So McLaren's gamble in choosing him over Sergio Perez can be justified(but then the car must be better this season if Button could improve so much this year)

- Kimi at least hung in there though he finished behind Fernando. Will we  again hear about how great a driver Alonso is, but one who has the worst car?

- Both Lotus drivers went out early.. Considering that one is pay driver Maldonaldo, lets close our eyes to that.. Will losing Kimi as competitor/mate affect Gosjean?

-  After the pre-season testing, Williams was expected to do well. However it was not Massa who brought the car home for points but Bottas. Massa was taken out by Kobayashi in an accident caused by technical fault in his car (Yes!! The smiling Japanese is back this season!)

- Torro-Rosso drivers managed to get into the top 10 as well. Well, who knows when they can get a drive with a bigger team like ex-TR driver Ricciardo..
