It's a big day for the team of Saath Nibhana Saathiya (Rashmi Sharma Productions) as they complete 1000 episodes today (31 January 2014). And the cast is exuberating with happiness as they ring in the achievement with a huge celebration and a twist- a six year leap from next week.
Talking about his journey, the good looking Vishal Singh who plays Jigar on the show said, "It has been an amazing four year journey for me. I have given my whole jawani (youth) to this show (laughs). But honestly this show has given me everything what one would desire from this industry and this city. Fame, popularity, house and now that my family is also here, I just can't thank the show enough."
And currently shooting for the post leap sequences, Vishal shared, "It's a very odd feeling to have someone call me papa' on the show. I keep telling my directors to not mention the word papa too often, as it's really funny, but hopefully I'll get used to it. For now we are just enjoying the moment."
His on-screen wife Raashi played by Rucha Hasabnis was busy and just exclaimed, "It has been a superb journey and I want to thank all our fans for loving us so much."
Devoleena, who is currently shooting in Bhopal as Gopi, could not be reached, but she put up her status on Facebook sharing her feelings, "So here the day comess...1000 episodes...wohooo..all my best wishes to the entire team of Saathiya..hip hip hurray..super happy nd proud to b a part of it..thank you all for loving nd supporting us so long...but again its just the Biginning..Long way to go...love us more...yippieee (sic)"
And finally Mohammad Nazim who rose to popularity with his portrayal as Ahem said, "Oh it has been a wonderful journey with so many ups and down. I have learnt a lot from the show and it has been a complete fruitful experience. I had to build up my chemistry with a new actor after Gopi (Giaa Manek) got replaced), but thankfully viewers were sweet enough to accept us and give us as much love and support. The journey even though professional, has been an emotional one."
We also called up the producer of the show, Rashmi Sharma who averred, "Honestly when we started the show, never did we imagine that it would reach this far. But as the journey started and we got connected to the fans we surely realised that this show is to stay. Creatively the show has been very satisfying and the actors, technicians and everyone included in team has really worked hard and it's all because of them that we have come so far. Even after five years the show is running with a standard decent ratings and it's really a great achievement for all of us."
And when we asked about what made her go for a leap at this moment, Rashmi said, "I think it was the apt time for us to serve our loyal viewers with something new. The post leap will be all the more exciting although we have consciously retained the feel' of the show and it will thus be more fun to watch."

The team of Star Plus' popular show Saath Nibhana Saathiya produced by Rashmi Sharma is celebrating their successful journey of completing 1000 episodes. The show managed to garner viewers attention right from the first episode which focused not only on the sisterly bond but also on the mother-in-law's and daughter-in-law's relationship. While the main characters Gopi, Ahem, Jigar (Vishal Singh) and Rashi (Rucha Hasabnis) have always entertained the audience with their flawless acting skills, the other artists like Kokila who always follows principles in her life, Mota Bhabhi who is very simple and down to earth have melted audiences hearts through their outstanding contribution in the show.
Saath Nibhana Saathiya has always been consistent in getting good numbers on the TRP chart. Thus to know more the about the celebrations, TellyBuzz spoke to the cast of the show to share their happiness.
An elated Devoleena Bhattacharjee aka Gopi who is shooting in Bhopal told us "I feel very proud that we have completed 1000 episodes and, being an important part of the show I am feeling great. I am really proud of my entire cast and crew members, hats off to them for working round the clock. I would say that this is just the beginning, there is a long way to go and yet there are more milestones to be achieved."
When contacted Rupal Patel aka Kokila Modi she said, "I feel blessed today. Its a pleasure working in Saath Nibhana Saathiyaand the character of Kokila Modi is very much like Rupal Patel in reality, only the difference is Rupal smiles more than Kokila (laughs). The best thing about the show is the bonding and the relationship amongst the family members which is portrayed beautifully and of course the cast and crew of this show who have become more like a big family in these four years. Our show is taking a leap and all the cast members would be seen after the leap as well and we hope that show has a long way to go."
TellyBuzz spoke to Mohammad Nazim who is playing the character of Ahem Modi and he said, "I am so happy that I have no words to express it. All I can say is that all credit goes to the audience. Today whatever we have achieved is because of their love for our show. It's my belief that no show can achieve success with the support of the audience and also the hard work of the cast and crew. The four years journey was a great experience for me."
When asked Swati Shah aka Hetal Modi she says, "I am highly elated that we have reached so far successfully. It feels great to be a part of this show Saath Nibhana Saathiya. It's a coincidence that I am actually the elder daughter-in-law in real life too and I am playing the same character in the show as well so I am very comfortable with my character. The show has one of the best cast and crew members. Recently, I lost my brother and was completely disturbed but my entire cast and crew was so supportive and helped me to get out of this unfortunate incident. There was a moment when we got to know that we had acquired second position in terms of TRPs and the entire crew and cast was dancing with joy on the set and our producer arranged a get together on the set itself where we had great fun. That was one moment which I cannot forget in my life."
